The Hotel Okura grandly welcome us as the train pulls into the platform of the station. The european style building is impressive and grand. The rooms are spacious and clean. It is located next to the Huis Ten Bosch theme park. Very convenient with a big family mart at the basement. Some restaurants and gift shops located nearby. Very convenient for theme park visitors.
After moving from Hitakatsu to Izuhara, you can immediately see the Izuhara Hotel Toyoko Inn when you get off at Izuhara Station.
You can see Toyoko Inn wherever you go in Izuhara, so it is the tallest building in Izuhara. You can also see Toyoko Inn Hotel from Izuhara Passenger Terminal.
There is Tiara Mall and Value Mart right across the hotel entrance, so it was convenient to leave your luggage at the hotel after duty-free shopping.
Since it is a hotel where you can also have breakfast, I filled my stomach with Japanese home-cooked breakfast.
I think I will definitely stay here again if I visit Izuhara.
I used the buffet-style breakfast for a total of three days, but because no trays were provided, I had to go back and forth several times. The area where the food was placed was long and narrow, so people who picked up the food crossed each other, and in the area where I got the rice, people were clearly lined up in the opposite direction, taking the seaweed first and then the rice later, and there was no clear flow of flow, which was dissatisfying.
This was because there were hardly any hall staff except for reception and tidying up, and there were no signs to guide the flow, so it was left up to the customers, and in this respect the service was worse than that of an average business hotel.
The tables were also narrowly spaced from front to back, and were arranged in a long and narrow manner, so it was almost impossible to move sideways. It seemed that they were not aware of the problem, perhaps because they were turning a blind eye to the movement of customers when it was crowded, or because they didn't look like they were busy tidying up. There were only two coffee machines considering the number of customers, so patience was required. It is unfortunate that there are issues with the soft aspects, even though the facility itself is wonderful, reminiscent of the MSC Yacht Club.
Location is good, tram station just ahead. Walking distance to shops n restaurants. Parking instructions should be part of booking email confirmation. We went round and round to look for parking in the hotel, not knowing the hotel is in the shopping arcade. We stopped the car at a corner street and one of us went to the hotel to inquire, then only we realised we have to park at the public car park opposite hotel. The hotel staff gave a map to the three parking area, but the map font is too small and faint, we ended up missing the car park nearest to hotel.
It is a simple and clean resort that fits the quiet and beautiful Unzen. It is the best condition for relaxation. I will definitely visit again next time.
The hotel is conveniently located a 10-minute walk from JR Nagasaki Station, with some rooms offering distant views of the station. The lobby is bright and spacious, offering complimentary morning coffee and a microwave for guests. The self-check-in kiosks are very user-friendly; you just enter your booking number, and with Chinese language options, the check-in process is seamless and free of any language barriers. A 7-Eleven convenience store is conveniently located right next to the lobby, perfect for grabbing snacks and essentials. Our room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. As a welcoming gesture, the mini-fridge contained two complimentary bottles of water and two mango puddings. A complimentary hot spring ticket was also provided. We managed to book this room during a 618 sale event for under 600 a night, which was absolutely fantastic value for money! Overall, a five-star experience; I highly recommend staying here.
The room is comfortable, the sea view is magnificent, and the free curry dinner and breakfast are very good. You can book the hotel's shuttle bus, which is very convenient for visiting Hita Katsuko and the hotel. The beach next to the hotel is very clean and beautiful.
I traveled with my parents and booked a double room. It was significantly smaller compared to a twin room, which is typical for hotels in Japan.
The onsen was comfortable, and breakfast offered a good spread, though the menu was a bit repetitive.
On the third floor, they provided complimentary tea, coffee, ice cream, and Yakult, along with shoyu ramen in the evenings.
The hotel is conveniently located near the airport bus stop. Tickets for the airport bus can be purchased at the airport's ticket counter (to be presented upon alighting), or you can simply pay with your Suica card.
I've also attached the airport bus schedule for those who might find it useful.

NNg YiNingSuper like the hotel, clean and cozy and so near to huis ten bosch theme park. The bfast was delicious n awesome do include when u stay there.
GGuest UserThe room was a little on the small side. It featured a tatami-style bed, which made for quite a novel and enjoyable sleeping experience. The location is excellent, very close to Chinatown, with plenty of food options nearby.

BBecky Lay Fong GohLocation is great, just walk 12 mins from station. Hotel is near the Dejima Wharf which is a pleasant spot for a glass of wine n there are restaurants there too n near the hotel too, n there's a big shopping mall near by too. I'll stay there again!
GGuest UserFav Lux was a hotel I booked because I was impressed by the feel of it and in reality it did not disappoint. My sis who arrived earlier raved about the hotel being so clean and modern. Although it doesn’t come with free parking but their affiliated parking is just next door and had unlimited reentry at a fixed price. The in room washer/dryer helped me a great deal during my 2 nights there. I enjoyed Nagasaki thanks to the good night sleep and the location of the hotel. I will rebook again for sure.
TtomomiWe enjoyed to stay. Hotel staff members are very friendly and kind. Breakfast buffet at hotel are good as well. I just didn’t know about free shuttle from station to hotel at the beginning. If I know early, I did not walk extras and save energy. Otherwise we are very happy to stay there.
OOlga TarI really didn't expect anything from staying at this hotel, as it was twice as cheap as anything in the area. But it's really a hidden gem!
The location is perfect for exploring Nagasaki, in the heart of Chinatown, lots of eateries in the area, and a tram stop nearby. The entrance is between two buildings and not obvious at first glance, but Google maps will get you there.
The hotel has a retro vibe and doesn't look like a traditional business hotel, but does it need to? Big comfy beds, huge rooms (a lot more spacious than you expect to find in Japan), all the amenities you need inside. The description didn't mention a fridge, but we had one in our room. No view, but it didn't bother us.
Good breakfast for a reasonable price.
The only downside is that they don't have a coin laundry in the hotel, but there are some in the area.
In my opinion, it's more than value for money!
SSooI recently stayed at this Japanese hotel, and it was a fantastic experience. The location is great, with easy access to key attractions and transport, though finding food in Nagasaki can be a bit tricky, especially early in the morning. That’s why I highly recommend booking their breakfast—it's absolutely the best. The spread includes everything from traditional Japanese dishes to international options, and the quality is outstanding. It's definitely worth paying extra for, and you won’t regret it. The hotel’s service was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure I felt comfortable throughout my stay. The Chinese-inspired decor added a unique touch that made the atmosphere even more special. Given the excellent service, beautiful facilities, and amazing breakfast, this hotel offers great value for the price. Highly recommend!
GGuest UserWe are so happy to stay in this hotel!
From the moment I stepped into my room, I was greeted by the soothing warmth of the private hot spring. The comfortable bed provided a perfect retreat after a day of exploration.
The highlight, however, was the delightful dinner experience. The summer menu featured a fusion of Japanese ingredients and Western cooking techniques. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, with fresh flavors that allowed us to taste the local ingredients.
Since we don’t speak Japanese. The staff patiently explained each dish, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, the service was exceptional, and the combination of comfort, cuisine, and attentive staff made our stay truly memorable. I highly recommend this hot spring hotel to anyone seeking a relaxing getaway.
ZZhuxisongyuIt's quite clean, but there's nothing to eat around. It's a bit far from the train station and scenic spots, but not far from the port. The room window can be opened for ventilation, and it's good not facing the road.
