We had an amazing stay during my husband’s birthday celebration last week. We truly appreciated the staff’s thoughtful gesture of allowing us to check in early and check out late, even though we had not requested it. Their extra effort in setting up birthday decorations for my husband made the occasion even more special and memorable. Thank you so much for going above and beyond to enhance our experience. All the staff members were respectful, friendly, and accommodating throughout our stay. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary voucher for a free photo session, which was a wonderful added touch. What impressed us even more was the staff’s honesty and attentiveness. I accidentally left my phone behind, and they returned it to me before I had even realized it was missing. Their prompt action and care were truly commendable. We are grateful for the exceptional hospitality and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable stay.

We recently celebrated a special getaway at Doulos Phos The Ship Hotel and it truly felt like we had rented the whole place for ourselves. The atmosphere was so peaceful, exclusive, and romantic — perfect for spending quality time with my wife. The hotel itself is incredibly unique, with so much history and character. Staying inside a beautifully restored ship made the entire experience unforgettable. Every corner had a charming nautical touch, and the ambiance throughout the property was elegant yet cozy. One of our favorite spots was the infinity pool overlooking the sea. The view during sunset was absolutely breathtaking, and the calm surroundings made it feel like a private paradise. We spent hours just relaxing by the pool, enjoying the ocean breeze and quiet atmosphere. The restaurants were also very good. The food was delicious, breakfast had plenty of variety, and the dining ambiance was warm and relaxing. Having dinner with the sea view and soft lighting created such a romantic mood for our celebration. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always attentive, which made the experience even more comfortable. The entire property was clean, beautifully maintained, and surprisingly quiet despite being such a famous landmark. If you are looking for a romantic escape, peaceful retreat, or simply a unique experience in Bintan, I highly recommend Doulos Phos The Ship Hotel. It was a memorable celebration with my wife, and we will definitely come back again. Stayed at Holiday Inn Resort Bintan with my toddler and had a mix of positive and negative experiences. We booked a pool access room, which was extremely convenient with a young child. Service throughout our stay was excellent, and the team was always helpful. They also assisted with printing our ferry boarding passes and arranged the complimentary shuttle to the ferry terminal. The food at Warung Pak Lagoi was decent, and the service there was especially attentive. The restaurant also offers free koi fish feeding, which my toddler enjoyed. On our last day, the fish food had run out, but a lovely staff member went the extra mile to get us a small packet so my child could still participate. The shuttle to Plaza Lagoi runs hourly, but if you miss it, you'll have to wait for the next one, so plan accordingly. Unfortunately, there were several issues that affected our stay. The Kids Club was quite disappointing compared to the photos online, with very limited activities, missing items and play options available. There was also power trip on our first night. As our toddler was already asleep, changing rooms wasn't a practical option for us. More concerning was that the entire resort experienced two power outages on our second night. We happened to be outdoors during one of them, and the blackout was completely pitch dark. It was quite frightening as we weren't holding our toddler's hand at that exact moment and couldn't see anything around us. Overall, the staff and service were the highlights of our stay, but the repeated power outages and underwhelming Kids Club made the experience less enjoyable than expected.

We recently stayed here and had an absolutely fantastic experience! The staff mentioned we had just missed the end-of-May crowd, so the resort was incredibly calm and peaceful. It felt so serene, and we were even among the only ones in the pool all day. The pool was a great size and very relaxing, with plenty of sun chairs available. What We Loved: - Our room was extremely clean with no faults at all. We were upgraded to an Ocean View room, and the views were just beautiful. - The breakfast buffet had a great and delicious selection. Having 5 different dining options on site was excellent because the food never felt repetitive. We highly recommend trying the Lamb Shank at the Recreational Village! - We took some classes which were fun to attend. There was no booking required, which was great because it kept our schedule completely flexible. - The free shuttle service from the BBT Ferry Terminal was very convenient. - The service staff were all so friendly and attentive to our needs. A huge thank you to Kinasih in particular, who served us both poolside and at the Recreational Village. He is such a friendly guy and provided top-notch service. Some Minor Improvements: - Upon arrival, our luggage was accidentally left behind at the ferry terminal, though it was sorted out. - It was a bit hard to find information about the resort at first, such as the in-room dining menu, directions to the Recreation Village, and details for Chocolate Hour. Most of this was on the TV portal, but our TV was not set up to show it when we first turned it on, so we didn’t know about it until the next day. - An introduction to the facilities placed in the rooms or explained by the check-in staff would have been very useful. - We much prefer having physical menus rather than QR codes everywhere, and having physical signs for Chocolate Hour would be a good touch. Overall though, this is a wonderful resort with great food and excellent staff. We had a very relaxing holiday and would love to come back!

I stayed at this hotel once about 15 years ago. Back then, the property was still relatively new, although I remember the room cleanliness was already not up to standard. Returning this time, it is clear that the hotel has not been well maintained. Signs of aging can be seen everywhere, from rusty bathroom light fixtures to damaged toilet seats. Unfortunately, it was raining during my stay, and the bathroom ceiling was leaking. When I checked into the room, it was obvious that the bathroom had not been properly cleaned, as there was hair all over the floor. One of the rooms did not even have basic towels provided. The hotel grounds and surroundings are beautiful, which makes it even more disappointing that the property has not been properly maintained. To make matters worse, I was woken up in the morning by ants crawling on my bed. Overall, the environment is lovely, but the lack of maintenance and cleanliness significantly affected my stay.

We recently stayed at The ANMON Resort Bintan for a short getaway, and honestly it became one of the most memorable and romantic trips my wife and I have had. From the moment we arrived, the whole place felt peaceful, cozy, and completely different from a normal hotel experience. The beautiful white tents, warm lighting, and desert-style ambiance created such a relaxing atmosphere that instantly made us slow down and enjoy the moment together. One thing we actually loved was that there was no TV inside the room. Instead of spending time watching screens, we spent more quality time talking, relaxing, and simply enjoying each other’s company. It made the whole experience feel more personal, peaceful, and romantic — something that is hard to find nowadays. Our glamping tent was spacious, clean, and surprisingly luxurious. At night, the resort became even more magical with the soft lights around the pathways and cool evening air. It honestly felt like we had rented the whole place for ourselves. One of the highlights of our stay was the BBQ experience right outside our glamp tent. That evening was especially memorable because it was lightly drizzling outside, making the whole atmosphere feel extra cozy and romantic. Grilling food together while listening to the soft rain, enjoying the cool weather, and sitting under the shelter of our tent created such a peaceful and intimate moment for both of us. It is one of those simple memories that we will never forget. We also really enjoyed the outdoor movie night. Sitting on bean bags under the stars with blankets while watching a movie together was such a unique experience. The calm ambiance, cool night breeze, and quiet surroundings made the entire night feel warm and special. The staff were very friendly and attentive throughout our stay, and everything around the resort was well maintained and thoughtfully designed. If you are looking for a unique couple getaway, romantic glamping experience, or peaceful escape from the city, I would definitely recommend The ANMON Resort Bintan. We left with so many beautiful memories and cannot wait to visit again. Follow Hope Sanctuary on TikTok, Facebook, and Trip Moments for more travel memories and hidden getaway ideas.

Wonderful moments celebrating my birthday on the stunning Bintan Island in Indonesia—a true slice of paradise. This beautiful destination is conveniently accessible with a 75-minute ferry ride from Tanah Merah, Singapore 🇸🇬, or a 20-minute trip from the Telaga Punggur ferry terminal in Batam to Tanjung Uban, as well as a 60-minute journey from Tanjung Pinang Island. During our delightful seven-night stay, we truly appreciated the warm hospitality we received. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you, Bintan, for the unforgettable memories!

Staying in Cassia Bintan was the perfect sanctuary I needed to recharge and getaway from the busy city life. This 'me-time' was exactly what I needed to find my peace again. The hospitality started the moment I arrived—I was greeted by Arya at the counter, who was incredibly helpful and kind. His warm welcome immediately put me at ease as a solo traveller. I truly appreciated the shuttle bus provided by Cassia from the ferry terminal; it felt very safe and organized, which is so important for solo female travellers. The room itself was a dream. I loved the blue colour of the room. This soothing blue wall creates a calm space where I can truly relax. It's spacious and clean. My favourite spot was the well-equipped kitchenette and the nice private balcony; the air felt so clean and fresh, and it was such a serene place for me to sit and do my painting. I love the sea so much, and the serene beach was so therapeutic. The pristine white sand and the shimmering turquoise blue sea were breathtaking. Being able to stroll along the shore every single day while listening to the gentle sea waves was the perfect way to clear my mind. I also loved spending time at Vista—sipping on their refreshing lime juice while soaking in the stunning sea view was pure bliss. The food at Lotus Cafe was delicious, and the staff always greeted me with a warm smile. Having the market 23 nearby was also so convenient for snacks and essentials. If you’re a mum looking for a safe, beautiful, and welcoming place to find some peace by the water, this is it. A heartfelt thank you to Arya and the whole team! Guest from room 3502”

CChengzhen YuRecently stayed at Montigo with my family as it was my boy’s birthday celebration, and wanted to share our experience. Upon check-in, there was some issue between their system and my booking through the app, which took more than 30 minutes to resolve. Luckily the place wasn’t crowded, and my kids didn’t get bored while waiting. One thing I liked was the baggage delivery service from place to place. Requests can be made through WhatsApp and their response was pretty fast, which made things quite convenient. Currently, one of the restaurants is under renovation, so we had lunch at Tiigo. Personally, I didn’t really enjoy the food, but I have to give credit to the view — that was easily a 10/10. As for the room, we had some issues with the bathroom design/drainage. Water in the bathing area didn’t drain properly and would get trapped at one side of the bathroom. The bathtub water would also flow into the toilet area, making the whole floor wet, especially when my kids were playing in the bathtub. It became quite slippery and my kids actually took turns falling in the bathroom, which was a little concerning from a safety perspective. On the positive side, because it was my boy’s birthday celebration, they were very thoughtful and kind enough to prepare birthday decorations and a cake for him, which was a really nice touch and made the experience feel special. Overall, despite a few areas that could be improved, especially the bathroom setup in our room, we still enjoyed the stay and appreciated their service. I would still come back again, but probably not choose the same room.

GGuest UserThe concept of glamping is novel, but once is more the enough. We traveled during the Singapore school holidays, so the resort was packed. As such, our neighboring tents were all occupied. Due to the close proximity and strange tent age acoustics. I was able to hear the neighbors chatter, even when both us and neighbours were in our own tents. Our tent was located to some bigger tents with outdoor benches. Some residents hung out, drank and smoke late into the night. Honestly, I had the worst sleeps during the trip. For light sleepers. Please pack ear plugs. Treasure bay is also operated independently from Natra. Please take note. There were some hiccups when I tried to book activities via the hotel and the vendor was not the most polite. During peak season, popular activities and rides are quickly booked up, so please plan ahead .

Mmr_alok”Great Resort, Great Service” Okay first thing, yes, it is far. Like 1.5 hours from BBT ferry terminal. But shared transport is provided (with a cold towel, cookie and water bottle), so honestly it's fine. You just sit back and by the time you arrive you've mentally switched off from everything anyway. Check-in was really smooth. No queue at the counter. While you sit down at the lobby, a welcome drink and cold towel is provided together with the check-in formalities. That already felt different. And the staff throughout the stay were just... on it. I genuinely didn't need to call for anything. Whatever I expected to find in the room, it was there. Buggy service is available until 11 pm, and is available promptly the moment you call them. The suite itself was excellent. Huge outdoor balcony with two sets of sitting area. A hammock is also provided to relax in a lazy afternoon. Inside the room, a solid wood bed frame, with a comfortable mattress and clean sheets. They give you both hard and soft pillows which I always appreciate. A large work table/chair is behind the bed. It also includes fast charging ports (nice touch). TV is equipped with Google TV kind of device with familiar remote. Room was well stocked with four water bottles, wine and drink glasses, coffee/tea cups, minibar with most common drinks stacked (not complimentary). Small thing but they forgot spoons for the coffee/tea. Didn't ruin anything but I noticed. The bathroom was big and clean with his/hers sink. All necessary amenities are of good quality. However, the shower area is a bit cramped as it is next to the bathtub. As such it wets the entire area. Even if you put floor towel, it eventually gets drenched too. Breakfast was great. Open air setting with nice spread - good fresh fruits, salads, local dishes, breads, bread spreads, coffee/tea together with kopi and teh as well. Dinner was also delicious with prompt room service. Only thing is the kitchen stops at 9:30pm which is a bit early, especially when you are on vacation. Not a dealbreaker but worth knowing if you're a late eater like me. Most of the info is shared via WhatsApp- shuttle times, checkout info, all sent through without me having to chase anyone. Simple but effective. Each villa is provided with two bikes (his and hers) which was fun, especially since the area is quite spread out. Though something could be improved: The pool is honestly too small. Cannot accommodate even 25% of guests. And the main beach is very small and with only two chairs. That's it. For a place sitting right on the water, I expected more there. Coffee pods in the room were really bad. Everything else in the room was good quality so this just stood out. Swap the pods, it's an easy fix. I informed them in advance that we are celebrating our wedding anniversary. But it was completely ignored. Forget about flowers, not even a little card. That genuinely upset me. It's the kind of thing that would've made the stay really special and they just dropped the ball completely. Despite that, I'd still recommend it. The food is solid, the service is good, the room is comfortable and it's a genuinely peaceful place to be. And if you're celebrating something, maybe follow up more than once to make sure they actually action it.

DDr. ErikI loved Batam View so much! I'll be honest, I wanted to stay at Turi Resort, where I normally stay, but they were fully booked. So I tried Batam View, and I was flabbergasted. I had a room in the main building with sea view, and it was stunning. The rooms have been renovated and are clean, modern, comfortable. The hotel's beach and pool are both amazing, and I was so happy to find a really deep pool (rare in Asia), plus a very clean beach. I had an unforgettable dinner at the beach, too. The staff are universally lovely, attentive and professional! I saw the villas and definitely want to stay there next time! I spent a lovely 6 nights there and cannot wait to return!

AAdrianFengAbsolutely loved my 3-day stay at Oakwood! Rooms come in a variety, and I booked a studio that comes with an open kitchen. The studio is spacious and cozy, perfect for bingeing TV on rainy days. With a kitchen complete with pots and utensils, you can even cook your own or heat up takeaway meals easily. Bed mattress and pillows are soft and clean. Room smells a bit in the afternoon when it gets hot but just a tiny bit, but I'm not sure if the smell is coming from me after working out... oops. Anyway no biggie, problem is easily solved with an air freshener from the supermarket next door. Overall, room is clean and well maintained. Service from the staff is fantastic too. They are all courteous, respectful and friendly. Staying in this hotel feels like living in a village where everyone greets and smiles at you. My original intention was to come here, gym, swim and eat clean, but it's kind of difficult to do that when the staff keeps tempting you with delicacies. Besides a free daily pastry from their bakery, they also gave me a free afternoon tea for 2. Sorry Oakwood, I didn't try everything because it's a little too much for me, but I feel completely loved and at home here~ The breakfast buffet spread is tasty and... comprehensive. In addition to the 4-star standard offerings in Asia like egg and noodle stations, Continental and Asian options, fresh fruits, yoghurt and coffee machine, they also boast an impressive spread of local delights like nasi lemak, Indo style kueh desserts, pandan flavoured bread and cakes and more. Outside of breakfast, the bistro also serves a wide range of local and international delights either in-person at the bistro or privately in your room. Picked this hotel partly also because they have a gym and a pool and my experience with both are probably among the best I've had in hotels so far. Besides the usual cardio machines, they also had this all in one rack/machine where you can basically workout most of the major muscle groups without improvising. Very good range of dumbbell pairs and kettle bells too. Probably just lacking a better workout bench, but you can make do with what they have there. And the pool, wow. It was mostly raining when I visited, but on the one day when it's not, the pool boasted a beautiful sunset backdrop in a tranquil setting. Such a beautiful pool at sunset and I had it all to myself! The hotel is right next to Grand Batam Mall too, you can hop right next door for meals, massage and shopping without stepping out to the sun. Very convenient. TLDR, I loved my stay here! Room is spacious and cozy, service is fantastic, food is good, amenities are comprehensive; I have no complaints. For hotels in the city, it is difficult to beat Oakwood in every aspect if you also consider its price.

GGuest UserWe recently returned from a five-night holiday in Bintan and stayed at your hotel for the last three nights (nights 3, 4, and 5). While we were happy to secure a room for those dates, we encountered two issues during our stay that we feel should be brought to your attention— in the hope that they can be improved for future guests. 1. Room Consistency & Communication Due to high demand, the same room type we booked for nights 3 and 4 was no longer available for night 5. As a result, we had to book a different room type for the final night, all paid in advance. When we checked in, we explained to the front desk staff that we would prefer to stay in the same room for all three nights, and we were willing to pay any price difference if necessary. The staff member said they would check and get back to us—but we never heard anything further. Admittedly, we also forgot to follow up. However, we assumed that no news meant we could remain in the same room. The next day at noon, we received a sudden call requesting us to check out immediately, which completely disrupted our day’s plans and led to a rushed and stressful move. We even left some personal items behind in the process. In the future, we would greatly appreciate clearer follow-up from hotel staff—whether or not a room change is possible, please confirm with guests either way rather than leaving the matter unresolved. 2. Villa Room Maintenance On the last night, we moved to a villa. Unfortunately, during our shower we discovered that the drainage system was severely clogged. Water from the shower area didn’t drain properly, and water even backed up from under the sink and around the toilet. This was not only inconvenient, but honestly quite unpleasant. While your staff did eventually help us resolve the issue, it significantly affected our overall experience and left a negative final impression. We chose your hotel with high expectations and understand that busy periods can lead to service challenges. But with a bit more proactive communication and better room maintenance, we believe the guest experience can be much improved. Thank you for taking the time to read our feedback.
