Hotels With Breakfast in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan

The hotel is indeed quite old and not very well maintained. I had originally booked another hotel, but due to a hot spring malfunction, I had to move here. It's walkable from the station, but the slope is steep, so it's best to use the hotel's free shuttle if you have luggage. There's no Wi-Fi in the rooms, though the mobile signal is decent in rooms on higher floors. The hotel lacks dining facilities, so you'll have to walk back near the station to find food.

Stayed here for a quick business trip and it was a great choice. The location is the biggest plus—it's directly connected to JR Hamamatsu Station, so getting to my meetings was super easy, even with luggage. The room was quiet, clean, and had a decent desk to get some work done. Being in the tallest building in the city, the view from my room was a great bonus to unwind after a long day. The Wi-Fi was fast and stable, which is a must for me. The staff were efficient and professional, making check-in and check-out very smooth. If you’re coming to Hamamatsu for work, this is probably the most convenient place to stay.

The environment here is absolutely amazing, and being able to soak in the hot springs was incredibly relaxing. Breakfast was decent too. However, there were some real pain points. First off, I knew the hotel was on a mountain and that there was a shuttle service. But I didn't realize the shuttle and pedestrians use the same road to go up, which felt quite dangerous. Secondly, the shuttle schedule was infrequent. The biggest issue was that due to a landslide, the later sections of the Izukyu Line were suspended. The hotel's car picked us up at Katase-Shirata, but they wouldn't drop us off there for the return journey. They clearly had a driver picking people up at Katase-Shirata, so why couldn't they just take us with them? Plus, the front desk wasn't clear about this when I asked. The hotel car could only shuttle us to Shimoda Station, which wasted our time. It was a complete rip-off!

A simple spacious room with 4 beds that accommodates our family of 4. The bathroom is rather compact but it's clean. Walking distance to Hamamatsu station with few malls nearby.

The hotel itself is good, but it's quite a distance from Mount Fuji. It has hot springs and laundry facilities, which is convenient. Breakfast was also good. However, on the third night, the alarm went off around 2 AM. Everyone in the hotel rushed out, and the elevators and phones were shut down. We were so scared that we quickly found the emergency stairs and ran down. The hotel said it was an equipment issue and told us to go back to our rooms. We climbed 10 floors back, and then a little later, the alarm went off again. Soon after, they announced that everything was fine. We barely slept that entire night because of the commotion.

This Dormy Inn hotel maintains its signature style. There are seven private onsen on the 4th floor, and a public bath on the top floor, making for a truly wonderful hot spring experience. Both dinner and breakfast are served buffet-style, with a good variety of food that is refilled promptly. In the evenings, there's complimentary ramen, and after a soak, free cold drinks. In the mornings, you can enjoy free Yakult. The service and staff attitude are also excellent. Getting to the hotel from Shuzenji Station is easy on bus C10, or if you have a lot of luggage, a taxi will cost under 1500 JPY. It's definitely worth staying for two days to relax and enjoy the hot springs.

It was the best place where my wife and I had ever rested. And the hotel and the whole city of Shimoda is a paradise. We liked absolutely everything. And the hotel employee - Kaori, is an exceptional nature person. She gives her work 200% and is the heart of this hotel. Thanks to her scrupulousness, sensitivity and care, there was a feeling that my mother was taking care of us in the hotel. We will definitely come back again! We advise everyone to visit this city and this beautiful hotel at least once. Visit also Ebisu Island, but treat this place with great respect, please! --- これは妻と私にとって最高の休暇でした。ホテルも下田市全体もまさに楽園です。すべてが素晴らしかったです。そして、ホテルスタッフの香織さんは本当に素晴らしい方です。彼女は仕事に200%の情熱を注ぎ、このホテルの心臓部と言える存在です。彼女の細やかな気配り、思いやり、そして優しさのおかげで、まるで母親に世話をしてもらっているような気持ちになりました。必ずまた来ます！この街とこの素晴らしいホテルには、ぜひ一度訪れてみることをお勧めします。恵比寿島にもぜひ足を運んでみてください。ただし、島を最大限の敬意をもって扱ってくださいね！

I had a very satisfying stay. It was a bit of a walk from the station, but the location had a calm atmosphere. There were many restaurants on the south side, so I had no trouble finding something to eat. There were plenty of free services, such as happy hour and late-night snacks, as shown in the photo. The staff were also very polite, coming to greet me in the elevator and outside the entrance. There were no amenities in the room, so I had to take some from the amenity space near the front desk. There was a wide selection, which was perfect.

This was a really great experience. I specifically came to Beichuan Onsen (hot spring) to check it out; it's quite wild, right by the Pacific Ocean, and staying at the hotel grants free access. Beichuan is a small station, and the village only has one convenience store and one restaurant. Although it's remote, the convenience store has a good selection, and prices are cheaper than in the city. The only restaurant serves really good food! We didn't book hotel meals; the restaurant is right next to the hotel, and the sashimi is superb and affordable. Even the cheapest room we booked was excellent, ocean-facing, and had a comfortable layout. The rooftop hot spring offers amazing views. Overall, it's great, highly recommended. The only downside is that they charge extra for children… even though we didn't get extra beds, it almost doubled the room rate.
