The room and overall environment were beautiful, peaceful, and very comfortable. However, during my stay, I experienced several issues with the water supply in the bathroom. The problem happened multiple times, and I had to contact the maintenance staff more than five times. There were even some misunderstandings and discussions regarding fixing the issue and changing rooms.
Thankfully, the staff managed the situation professionally in the end and provided complimentary breakfast as compensation, which I truly appreciated. Despite the inconvenience, I still enjoyed my stay because the hotel itself is truly beautiful and relaxing. I would definitely come back again in the future, hoping for an even better experience next time!
We stayed at the hotel right by the pier on the Perhentian Islands. Itâs literally 800 meters away for 5 MYR â you can walk, but we had luggage, so we used transport.
The room was large and comfortable, very clean. The reception staff are friendly and helpful with any questions. If youâre going to the Marriott on the island, thereâs a free transfer to and from it.
We really liked the breakfast: the coffee was very good, there were fruits, and the selection has a European style â which suits us very well. The restaurant is also open in the evening: we had dinner â it was fine, but it seemed a bit too much black pepper, breakfast was definitely better.
There are European and Chinese power outlets, plenty of them, and tea and water are provided in the room.

Had a great stay at Suite 18 Kuala Terengganu. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a nice modern design. Location is convenient and close to food spots and attractions. Check-in was smooth and hassle-free.
Overall, a good value stayâwould come back again!
Stayed 3 days 2 nights at Raia Hotel & Convention Centre Terengganu and returned again due to its comfort and value. Rooms are spacious, clean, and family friendly, with a nice pool for kids.
Had a great stay at Paya Bunga Hotel, Terengganu. The room was clean and comfortable, and the view was absolutely beautiful. Staff were super friendly and helpful throughout the stay.
Definitely a place Iâd come back to. Highly recommended!
Lot of facilities are not working or not available. Request to repair the jacuzzi, they came once, problem was not solved and thatâs it. unuseable jacuzzi for the whole stay. Ok for a calm no activities stay, but not for families looking for varieties of activities such as ATV, jet ski etc.
Fairway of the golf course was patchy, and most bunkers are not playable. Greens are ok.
Mimpi is a great hotel to stay at when visiting Pulau Kecil. The rooms are clean and spacious and the pool is lovely. Long beach is the most active area in the Perhentian islands with many restaurants, dive schools and water taxi options.
Great place... Good location... There's a laundry shop right in front of the hotel, so you can do your washing. Pasar Payang and Nasi Dagang Atas Tol are within walking distance. Just take a Grab back if you have a lot of stuff.
We initially had a frustrating experience as our towels were delivered quite late. However, the situation was handled professionally by Manager Iza, who personally delivered the towels to our room and sincerely apologized for the delay. Her prompt action and attention to guests made a positive difference.
Overall, the rooms were spacious and comfortable. We booked four rooms and requested them to be located near each other, which the hotel successfully accommodated. However, housekeeping services need improvement, as one of our rooms was not serviced and there were some inconsistencies in room maintenance during our stay.
The hotelâs location is excellent and very convenient. It is close to everything we needed, with Restoran Singgang Budu located right beside the hotel. There are also laundry facilities nearby, and plenty of food options within walking distance, making it a great choice for travelers.
The staff were friendly, always smiling, and genuinely tried their best to accommodate our requests throughout our stay. While housekeeping could be improved, the service recovery by the management team and the hotelâs strategic location made our overall stay enjoyable.

Great
GGuest UserThe good: Gorgeous resort. Friendly staff. Clean. Comfortable room. Great breakfast spread. It lives up to the Marriott brand for sure.
The bad: Slow service at the restaurants. It looks like the restaurants are understaffed.
There was also room confusion - I booked 2 rooms for 3 nights and 1 room for 2 nights. But when the guests for 2 nights checked in, showing reservation slip for 2 noughts, they were given a 3-night room. When the 3-night guests check in a few hours later, we were told to swap rooms, instead of just making changes in the system. Gosh. It was after we insisted that changes were made in the system instead of the 2 of us packing to swap rooms.
Public areas like the reception area and the Greatroom are like saunas. But we were told that the high cost of diesel due to the war in Iran has forced the hotel to not run their air conditioning on full capacity - this is forgivable.
GGuest User## Amenities
The hotel's basic amenities are largely complete and fully operational. The rooms have been renovated throughout, and the decor is better than what you'd find in other hotels. Wi-Fi is available in the rooms. There's some ongoing construction behind the hotel, but it generates almost no noise, so it doesn't impact your stay or rest at all.
## Cleanliness
Overall, there's significant room for improvement in cleanliness. You can spot quite a few small flying insects in the lobby and hallways leading to the guest rooms. There were also small ants around the welcome drinks at the front desk. While these don't affect a normal stay, the public area cleaning and pest control aren't thorough enough, and more attention is needed for cleanliness details.
## Environment
The hotel's surrounding environment is decent, and the location offers convenient access to transportation. The partial construction behind the hotel has minimal impact on the quietness of the stay, and the overall living atmosphere is average.
## Service
Overall service needs improvement. Check-in is at 3 PM and check-out is strictly at 10 AM, which isn't very accommodating. There are too few staff members on duty, and housekeeping efficiency is low, with room cleaning being particularly slow. The overall service efficiency and attentiveness aren't on par with other hotels in the same category.
## Dining
The dining experience is weak, and it clearly falls short compared to other hotels of a similar caliber in the area. Only breakfast is included, and the variety is very limited, with average taste. Lunch and dinner need to be ordered separately, and the overall dining selection, taste, and serving efficiency all need significant improvement.
## Activities
The hotel's overall operational atmosphere is far inferior to competitors like Laguna or Rainbow Hotel. Other hotels arrange recreational activities and special programs in the evenings, offering guests plenty of nighttime entertainment. This hotel, however, has no activities or arrangements whatsoever in the evening, making the overall atmosphere dull and quiet. The operational fun and guest experience are significantly lacking.

MMiaSurayaOk for 1 night stay.
Bedroom is small around 25meter. Toilet is ok and can be better in cleaning. Parking is behind the hotel. The drawbridge is visible from the window. Breakfast is simple but sufficient. The price of this room is affordable too.
Uuneyy_6924 Hours in Paradise: Why One Night at Sutra Beach Resort Feels Like a Dream!
Let me tell you something â not all staycations are created equal. Some are just a change of location. But a night at Sutra Beach Resort? Thatâs a whole different story.
The moment you step into the resort, it feels like youâve entered a slower, calmer world. No chaos. No rush. Just the soothing rhythm of the ocean guiding your entire experience. Itâs the kind of place where time doesnât just slow down â it almost stops.
I started my stay with a simple walk along the beach. Barefoot, feeling the sand, listening to the waves⊠and suddenly, everything else didnât matter anymore. Thatâs the magic of this place â it pulls you into the present moment without even trying.
The facilities are just enough to keep you comfortable without distracting you from the real highlight: nature. Whether itâs lounging by the pool, enjoying the sea breeze, or just sitting under the shade doing absolutely nothing â every second feels intentional.
And then came the sunset. Honestly, pictures donât do it justice. The sky exploded into colors, and for a moment, it felt like the whole world paused just to admire it. People gathered quietly, watching, smiling â strangers sharing a beautiful moment together.
Nighttime brought a completely different vibe. Calm, cool, and incredibly peaceful. No loud city noise, no stress â just the sound of waves and the occasional breeze. I slept better than I had in weeks.
Morning came too fast. Waking up to the ocean view felt surreal, like I was still dreaming. And thatâs the thing â even after checking out, it still feels like a dream.
One night at Sutra Beach Resort isnât just a stay. Itâs an experience. A reset. A reminder of how beautiful life can be when you slow down.

GGuest UserI would like to sincerely thank you for the wonderful hospitality, friendliness, and helpful service throughout my wifeâs and my stay at Tanjong Jara Resort. From the smooth check-in until check-out, every moment made our stay truly enjoyable, memorable, and relaxing.
We had a very happy experience at the resort and would highly recommend Tanjong Jara Resort to our family and friends. It is definitely one of the best resort choices in Terengganu.
Special thanks and appreciation to Ai Li, Umah, Haziq, Ruzly, Angel, Amira, Athir, Yusri, Yanna, Khairi, and Aidil for their excellent service, warm hospitality, and dedication in making our stay so pleasant.
Thank you once again, and we hope to visit again in the future đ
