I hesitated a lot because it was a bit pricier than I expected (it was National Day, so there was a premium), but it was truly the best choice I made! First, the accommodation! It was clean and the view was amazing. I arrived early for check-in and asked if they could give me a room with a good view. They found me the best view room comparable to the one I paid for 😆 Next, the location! Nanjing East Road and People's Square are right in front, which was great for tours (many meeting points are at People's Square) and shopping. Plus, many famous restaurants (hot mala ban on social media, Lu Xuxu butter cakes, crab roe and shrimp dumplings, milk tea, etc.) delivered, and a robot brought the food to my door, allowing me to try a variety of dishes. It saved so much time, it was amazing! The staff's service was also excellent. They helped with my luggage and were incredibly kind. Thank you! Oliver and Riley are the best! I'll definitely come again.

Three floor-to-ceiling windows offer panoramic city views – the more you stay, the more you'll love it! The Stage restaurant offers a bountiful buffet breakfast, with both Chinese and Western options. The omelets are shaped like egg dumplings and taste great, the croissants are quite good, the tofu pudding is delicious, and the latte coffee is also pleasant. We didn't get to try the Chinese restaurant as it was hosting a wedding banquet. The hotel also has a full range of fitness equipment and an indoor heated swimming pool. The staff were exceptionally warm and attentive, always even greeting us at the door, opening doors and checking cars for belongings left behind after long shopping trips. The hotel has a beautiful, luxurious atmosphere, with excellent facilities including a very well-equipped gym and separate men’s and women’s sauna and steam rooms as well as a pool and hot tub. There is also an onsite spa opened till 2am! The ‘This Works’ bathroom toiletries in the rooms were a lovely touch and smelled wonderful. Breakfast was outstanding, with an impressive selection and freshly prepared omelettes, steamed buns and pancakes. The English-speaking staff were also incredibly helpful throughout our stay and provided great recommendations of places to see and where to eat close by. The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of Nanjing Road and the Bund. Overall, a beautifully presented hotel with genuinely excellent service — we would happily stay here again and am glad we chose to stay here as there are an overwhelming amount of choices available but we feel we made a great choice!

Staying at The Anandi Hotel in Shanghai | A Healing Hotel Experience Before heading back to Beijing, I chose this healing hotel for a few days of rest in Shanghai. Here's my experience: Facilities and Activities 🏊🏻♂️: 1. Guests can use the hot spring, which wasn't crowded and wasn't very large. There are two public pools, one in the hot spring area and another on the 11th floor of the hotel. The gym is also small. There are free healing activities every day, with more options on weekends, including children's craft experiences 👍🏻. 2. The kids' club is on the second floor of the hot spring area, but children cannot be left unattended; parents must supervise them. I suggest they change this – if parents are constantly watching their kids, how can they have time to spend money? 😓 Environment 🌲: As a healing hotel, you essentially stay within the hotel. There isn't much to do in the surrounding area 😂. Dining 🍜: The breakfast at the Mystic restaurant is quite healthy. The executive lounge offers afternoon tea and light dinner. Yue Restaurant and Yuan Yan are actually the same restaurant. Dining taste ranking ➡️ Yuan Yan > Mystic restaurant > Executive Lounge. Service: Most of the staff provide excellent service. On weekends, due to more guests, the service quality can slightly dip 😝. In summary, the service at this hotel is very good, but the overall facilities are not large. If you're looking for a two or three-day healing stay, I highly recommend it 😜 (Special shout-out to Darcy for the excellent service!).

My favorite part was the private hot spring tub in the room. After returning in the evening, I could soak anytime without needing a reservation, which offered excellent privacy. The hotel also offers therapeutic activities like meditation. Unfortunately, I only stayed one night and didn't have much time to try them, but they seemed quite unique. Parking at the hotel is very convenient, with plenty of spaces available. If you're driving, you basically don't have to worry about parking. The hotel staff provided excellent and patient service. They were always quick to help with any issues and spoke very kindly. Even though it was just a one-night stay, the overall experience was great. If I'm looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy a hot spring in Shanghai in the future, I would definitely consider coming back here.

Booked a one-night hotel stay. When placing the order, I indicated that I would have a child staying with me. The front desk on the fifth floor was very nice on the day of check-in. When checking in, I saw that the child specifically told us that the room only included two bath tickets. I said that I had seen this rule when booking and purchased additional bath tickets. However, when I was leaving, the front desk staff on the first floor had a very bad attitude. When checking out, I agreed to other expenses, but they insisted that I pay extra for the child's overnight stay. I immediately stated that the child stayed with us in the hotel room and did not stay overnight in the bathhouse. The hotel allows underage children to stay with us. The cashier said in a bad attitude that we don't care and will charge if the child is over 1.4 meters. I was too lazy to argue with him for a few dozen dollars, but the experience was very bad, and I will definitely not go there again next time.

The location is located in the forest but there's no light surrounding during night . There are 3 pet dogs who live nearby (one of them is friendly). During winters the place is almost empty. Best for solo or couple travels. Sauna in winter is a must try. Overall the room needs a little repairing but it's not that noticable. The rooms are pretty large and provide all amenities. Each room is calm a provides a retreat for a peaceful vacation. The Breakfast lady is nice and hospitable. Breakfast included milk, croissant , a pastry an egg and a bowl of wontons. All snacks and fruits provided in room are complimentary. Overall a nice place for short weekend trip. In morning one can have a morning walk around forest or bike ( during winters the bike become a bit rusty though). The place also provides Kayaking in the nearby lake for 100 RMB / 3 hrs . It's best to enjoy kayaking in summers. Will visit here again. Also the place doesn't provide dinner but there are 2 nearby places providing good food. Make sure to take a torch along the way to restaurants at night as it gets quite dark.

The lounge's food selection isn't vast, but the ingredients are top-notch, and every dish is meticulously prepared. The hot pastries are particularly excellent – crispy and not greasy. The taxi dropped us off at the north gate of the Peace Hotel. If it's peak season, check-in might not be until 2:30 PM. You can't really evaluate the Peace Hotel with terms like 'value for money' anymore; it offers a unique experience, an atmosphere and style reminiscent of a modern era. Be sure to bring some glamorous outfits, as it's perfect for photos. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, and the service is incredibly responsive (within reason, of course). Breakfast quality is also excellent. Another outstanding advantage is its location: step out of the south gate and you're on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, turn left and you're in the heart of the Bund, with several dining options in the nearby Bund Source architectural complex. A minor drawback is the limited sofa seating in the public areas, which fills up quickly with guests waiting to check in.

Experience: Our entire stay was fantastic. Since it was my birthday, Mia from Guest Services specially arranged a room upgrade for us. From the room, we could see the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the Bund, and even the Magnolia Plaza across the river in North Bund. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the light show from here during the National Day holiday. Mia and her colleagues also prepared a Tiramisu birthday cake and flowers for me, for which I am truly grateful. Pool and Spa facilities: The indoor swimming pool's water quality was exceptionally clear, easily ranking among the top three of all the hotels I've visited. The sauna and cold plunge bath I experienced afterward were also excellent. The only area for improvement is that there was no discount for in-house guests at the hotel's buffet lunch. Even so, we will still choose to stay at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai on our next visit to Shanghai. Mia's professionalism and hospitality deserve commendation from the hotel and serve as an example for other service staff. Many thanks to the Grand Hyatt Shanghai 🙏🏻

While the hotel opened a while ago, so the facilities show some age, the bathtub in the room is quite close to an office building, offering limited privacy when bathing. However, direct access downstairs to the IFC mall makes getting around and shopping extremely convenient. This is definitely the top choice if you want to experience the Lujiazui night view.

I didn't have to go back and forth to the front desk for inquiries. The communication was easy and thoughtful, and responses were quick. You could feel the dedication in the details. Such flexible and considerate service made my trip much more relaxed and significantly enhanced this stay.

Five-star review! Choosing the Hyatt on the Bund for my Shanghai trip this time was an excellent decision. The location is unbeatable; just a short walk takes you to the Bund and Waibaidu Bridge. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer direct views of the Huangpu River, and at night, with the Lujiazui lights twinkling, watching the night view from bed is incredibly relaxing. While the hotel is an older five-star property and the rooms aren't brand new, they are impeccably clean and very comfortable. The bed firmness is just right, ensuring a refreshing night's sleep. The gentleman at the front desk who checked me in was very helpful, assigning me a room based on my specific requests, which was great since I checked in quite late. From the moment I arrived, all the staff I encountered were courteous and polite. I especially want to commend Lorna and Lexie for their incredibly patient and attentive service. The breakfast spread is quite rich, and the noodles (both soup and fried) from the noodle station were delicious; I had them every day. And you absolutely must visit the Vue Bar on the top floor; the rooftop offers an unparalleled view of the night skyline. The only minor drawback was that it was a holiday, so there were quite a few people, and sometimes we had to wait a bit for the elevators. Overall, the experience was fantastic. If you're coming to Shanghai and want to see the Bund's night view, I wholeheartedly recommend this place without hesitation. I'll definitely stay here again next time!
