Dihang Boutique Hotel (Shanghai Pudong Airport)

📍 No. 653 Chenyang West Road, Pudong New Area, Shanghai
★★★ 8.7 (10,107 reviews)

"The pickup service is commendable! Whether it's the middle of the night or during the day, when you call the front desk, the front desk attendant immediately notifies the driver. The driver also calls you in advance to confirm the pickup location and tells you the license plate number to ensure guests don't miss their ride. This service even surpasses Ramada's. Last time, when I stayed at Ramada and Vienna respectively, I had to wait for and find the car myself, and eventually saw a sign with Ramada's schedule 😓. The front desk staff are excellent 👍🏻, always ready to answer any questions. This shows that the owner or executive manager of Dihang Hotel has a very high level of management. For this price, the room is quite good; everything is great except that the towels need updating. The price is affordable, The service is excellent, The room is comfortable, And they are very helpful."

Near both metro and bus station, beside there are family mart, luckin coffee and some local food stalls. Will recommend it to others and back if there is chance. Thanks a lot for the hospitality."

Ramada Encore by Wyndham Shanghai Pudong Airport

Ramada Encore by Wyndham Shanghai Pudong Airport

📍 No. 2, Lane 1365, Yanchao Road, Pudong New Area, Shanghai
★★★★ 9.2 (8,412 reviews)

"Really enjoyed our stay here. The free shuttle runs every 30 minutes and was always on time. They also have both large and small buses, so there was never an issue getting a seat. Check-in and check-out were smooth and easy. We booked a duplex room with two levels, which was a lot of fun and something a little different. The industrial-style design was also really nice. We’d happily stay here again if we have an early flight or are just passing through. There was some road construction nearby during our stay, but it didn’t affect the hotel or our sleep at all. Also, excellent value for money. We usually stay at the Airport Hotel right between T1 and T2 of PVG, but that is quite pricey for a 5-6 hours of sleep."

"The hotel is newly renovated and quite a stylish boutique hotel. The in-room amenities are high-end, and the staff are very service-oriented. The location is also super convenient; you can walk to Riverside Park along the Huangpu River in just over ten minutes, and it's very close to the 'Pudong Three-piece Suit' (Lujiazui skyscrapers). Right next to the hotel, there's an Italian restaurant, Japanese cuisine, Taizhou dishes, ********* braised pork rice, bars, Starbucks, convenience stores, and even a massage parlor – incredibly convenient. Da Zhong Airport Hotel ★★★
"Pros: The hotel is right next to the terminal, which is super convenient for early morning flights. Cons: Not great value for money. The facilities are old and a bit rundown, and the service was just okay. I didn't get to try breakfast due to time constraints, so I can't comment on that. The room was quite small, and the decor is dated."

Tianhua Hotel Shanghai People's Square Nanjing Road Walkway ★★
"I actually wanted to stay in a different hotel (the one I stayed before), but it was fully booked so I chose this one and I had a very pleasant stay, even though it was just for one night. I got a better room than I originally booked. I'm a fan of loft flats, so it was a surprise for me lol It's quite small, but very cosy. The room was very clean, had everything needed for a stay. The staff doesn't speak English, even though it's almost a city centre of Shanghai, so prepare a translator. But still was helpful. I surely will stay here again and would recommend this place. The location is great as well."

"First we found this place far from the center. But there are transfers from and to the airport, Disneyland and back, as well as to the underground station each 90 minutes . So we liked it so much that prolonged it for a week more. There’s everything there to feel yourself like home. There’s different deliveries here - food as well as Taobao. Also we left suitcases at the luggage room as we left for mountains for some days. All these is for free."

Shanghai Hotels Booking Tips

  • Book early (3-6 months in advance) for busy periods like National Day (1-7 Oct) or May Day holidays (1-5 May), or major China holidays.
  • Check trade fairs & events dates: Big trade shows (e.g. China Import Expo in November, Auto Shanghai in April), which can lead to higher prices and lower supply.
