Hotel Chalet Shanghai ★★★★
A cosy, modern hotel in Shanghai, offering comfortable rooms, friendly service, and easy access to local attractions and public transport.
Zhexuejia Hotel (Shanghai Bund Xiaonanmen Subway Station) ★★
"The front desk staff, especially the young woman, was incredibly helpful and friendly. The hotel also provides complimentary water and snacks. Being right above a metro station makes getting around incredibly convenient."
Yitel Premium (Shanghai people's Square Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street) ★★★★
"My second time staying in Yitel Premium was great. What is amazing about this hotel is the location as it’s basically right on Nanjing Pedestrian Road! Would recommend if you want to stay in the center of Shanghai."
Crowne Plaza SHANGHAI NANJING ROAD by IHG ★★★★★
"Avoid Crowne Plaza Shanghai Nanjing Road! I checked in on July 17th and found moldy, smelly food left in the fridge from the previous guest. For a five-star hotel, their housekeeping and inspection processes are completely failing. They didn't even check for forgotten items in the fridge, indicating a total breakdown in basic hygiene standards. Paying a high price for a room that smells awful and poses health risks is unacceptable. The management's oversight is glaringly obvious. Anyone considering staying here should seriously think twice."
Da Zhong Airport Hotel ★★★
"Pros: The hotel is right next to the terminal, which is super convenient for early morning flights. Cons: Not great value for money. The facilities are old and a bit rundown, and the service was just okay. I didn't get to try breakfast due to time constraints, so I can't comment on that. The room was quite small, and the decor is dated."
Tianhua Hotel Shanghai People's Square Nanjing Road Walkway ★★
"I actually wanted to stay in a different hotel (the one I stayed before), but it was fully booked so I chose this one and I had a very pleasant stay, even though it was just for one night. I got a better room than I originally booked. I'm a fan of loft flats, so it was a surprise for me lol It's quite small, but very cosy. The room was very clean, had everything needed for a stay. The staff doesn't speak English, even though it's almost a city centre of Shanghai, so prepare a translator. But still was helpful. I surely will stay here again and would recommend this place. The location is great as well."
The Bund Puyan Hotel, Shanghai ★★★★★
"The hotel has a great location and the staff are very helpful. They offer free self-service laundry and a gym. It's only 300 meters to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, and the nearby Metro Line 2 and Line 10 make it super convenient to get to the train station and the airport.💗💗💗💗"
Ibis Hotel (Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station) ★★★
"The overall environment is clean and comfortable, the room decor is cozy, and the hygiene is exceptionally well-maintained with all necessary amenities provided. The front desk and housekeeping staff are very warm and attentive, quick to respond to requests, and offer meticulous service. It was quiet and pleasant during my stay, offering excellent value for money. I had a perfect experience and highly recommend it to everyone! [Strong]"
Shanghai People's Square Nanjing East Road Pedestrian Street Treasury Hotel ★★★★
"The hotel's location is super convenient, with lots of food options nearby. It's also very close to the pedestrian street. Highly recommended!"

Shanghai Yunzhi Homestay
"I stayed here last year and came again this year. The hotel environment is very clean, the stay is very comfortable, and the boss is also very good. Last year the boss picked me up and this year I drove myself. It was very convenient. The hotel has parking, so going to Disney is no problem at all👌"
Le Meridien Shanghai Sheshan
"This hotel boasts a beach, a swimming pool, and a 'Squirrel Kingdom' (an area with squirrels). With its kids' playground and game room, it's perfect for a 3-day, 2-night getaway. Next door, you'll find Yuehu Park and Sheshan Forest Park, both lush and green. The rooms are spacious and clean. There's a sandy beach for digging, but you'll need to bring your own digging tools. Bob provided great, enthusiastic service. Parking is free, and the hotel air is fresh."

Radisson Blu Hotel Shanghai New World
"The room was very satisfying, clean and tidy, and the staff had a great attitude. Especially Matt at the front desk, who carefully listened to our needs."
Shanghai Hyakumangoku Onsen Hotel
"The room has a very Japanese feel to it. Since it's on the first floor, the soundproofing isn't amazing, but it's acceptable. The service was also excellent. If you're going to Disneyland, this hotel's location is fantastic – they offer pickup and drop-off service, and it's right across from Bicester Village. I'd definitely stay here again! ✌️"
Pudong Shangri-La, Shanghai
"Location: The hotel is situated in the heart of Lujiazui, surrounded by iconic landmarks like the Oriental Pearl Tower and Shanghai Tower. It's within walking distance to the subway, making travel very convenient. Service Quality: The staff were friendly and responsive to guest needs, demonstrating a very high level of service overall. Breakfast & Dining: The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. The French toast and the light meal sets from the patisserie were particularly satisfying, making for a very pleasant dining experience. Facilities & Environment: Although the hotel facilities are a bit dated, they are well-maintained, and the rooms are clean and tidy. The hotel environment is elegant and tranquil, with warm and grand decor."
Wheatfield Watch House
"The room was clean, and the hotel also provided shuttle service for airport and Disneyland park pick-up and drop-off, which was very convenient. Our flight arrived at 2:30am, so the hotel was unable to provide the shuttle service at that time, but we still managed to get a DIDI easily. The hotel is located quite far from Shanghai town area, and there were no restaurants nearby, which made it a little inconvenient for food options. However, there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel, making transportation still convenient. The breakfast was very simple and the menu was the same throughout our 3-day stay. Overall, it was still a pleasant stay ✨"
Gokurakuyu Hot Spring Hotel Shanghai Chuansha
"They advertised complimentary afternoon tea with biscuits and drinks, but I've stayed here three or four times and never actually received it, so I'm not sure where that's supposed to happen. However, the place is generally very clean, offers good value for money, is close to the airport, and the service is quite good. The restaurant, on the other hand, doesn't have much to offer; I never know what to order."
IntercityHotel Shanghai New International Expo Center
"My overall experience at Shanghai City Hotel was excellent, and the service, in particular, left a great impression on me. The front desk and staff were all very friendly and patient during our interactions. You could tell they genuinely cared about guests, rather than just mechanically processing check-ins. On the day I checked in, there was a bit of a wait. A staff member noticed this, proactively came over to explain the situation, and very thoughtfully upgraded my room for free, even throwing in complimentary breakfast. This really stood out to me; it shows the hotel puts a lot of effort into service details and the guest experience. The upgraded room was quite comfortable overall, with more space, making my stay even better than expected. Breakfast being available was also very convenient, saving me the hassle of finding food the next morning. Throughout my stay, the staff remained consistently friendly and were quick to respond to any issues, which made me feel very much at ease. All in all, this stay exceeded my expectations. While the hotel's facilities are good, the service was truly the main reason I'm happy to give a positive review. If I come back to Shanghai, this hotel will definitely be a top choice for me again."
