Momo GWe had such an amazing experience at this Disney hotel, and I truly feel like this property deserves every bit of praise. My husband, our 6 kids, and I traveled all the way from Orlando, Florida in America, and after such a big trip, staying somewhere this welcoming, clean, and well-run meant so much to us. From the moment we arrived, the staff made such a strong impression on me. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly kind, welcoming, patient, and genuinely helpful. It did not feel fake or forced at all, it felt like they truly cared about making sure our stay was comfortable and special.
One thing I really want to mention is that even with us traveling from America, the language barrier was honestly not hard at all when dealing with the staff. That was something I truly appreciated. Everyone was so kind, so patient, and so willing to help that communication never felt stressful. They made everything feel easy and comfortable, and that meant a lot, especially traveling with a big family and small children. No matter what we needed, they did their best to help us understand and made sure we felt taken care of. That level of effort, patience, and kindness goes a very long way, and they really made us feel welcome.
The staff went above and beyond in so many little ways, and those things really added up. Any time I had a question, needed help, or wasn’t sure about something, someone was there with a smile, ready to help without hesitation. That kind of service stands out, especially when you are traveling with family, and it made such a huge difference for us. They were not just “nice” .They were the kind of staff that makes you stop and think, wow, these people really care. You can feel when people are just doing a job, and you can also feel when people are truly making an effort to give guests a great experience. This staff absolutely did that.
Now let me talk about the cleanliness, because honestly this is one of the cleanest hotel properties and rooms I have ever seen in my life. I do not say that lightly. The moment we walked in, everything looked absolutely spotless. Not just tidy, not just “good enough,” but truly immaculate. The room looked fresh, polished, and cared for in a way that is hard to explain unless you see it for yourself. Every surface looked pristine. The floors were clean, the bathroom was shining, the bedding felt fresh and perfectly maintained, and the entire room gave that rare feeling of being deeply, properly cleaned.
There was not that uneasy hotel feeling some places have where you start wondering what has or has not really been cleaned. This place felt the complete opposite. It felt sanitized, refreshed, and cared for to the highest standard. The room was so clean that it immediately made us feel comfortable enough to fully relax. When you are staying with children, cleanliness matters even more, and this hotel absolutely exceeded expectations. I noticed the details, and the details matter. The bathroom was spotless, the beds looked crisp and fresh, the furniture was clean, the floors looked amazing, and the whole room felt like it had been cleaned with real care and pride.
Even beyond the room itself, the entire property was unbelievably clean. That is what impressed me so much. Usually a hotel might have a nice room, but the hallways, common areas, elevators, or grounds do not always match that same level of care. Here, the cleanliness was consistent everywhere. The entire property was beautifully maintained, and you could clearly tell that cleanliness is taken seriously at every level. Everything looked so well-kept, so polished, and so intentionally maintained that it honestly made the whole stay feel even more luxurious and relaxing.
It is such a good feeling to be able to fully settle in and enjoy your stay without noticing dirt, neglect, or things being overlooked. This hotel gave us that peace of mind completely. You can tell there is real effort behind the scenes to keep ever

Guest User1. **Regarding the hardware:** The room itself is nice – clean, with new facilities, and in a great location close to the subway. However, because the location is so prime, space is at a premium, so the room size is limited. The TV is positioned in a way that takes up too much space, leaving almost no room between the bed and the TV, making it easy to bump into.
2. **Regarding the service:** The breakfast was good, and both the front desk and room service were excellent.
3. **Minor issues:** I suggest a thorough check of the entire building's air conditioning system. We were informed that there's central air conditioning and were advised not to use the in-room AC for energy saving and environmental protection. However, if you don't turn on the in-room AC, you'll be sweating profusely within minutes – it was 38 degrees outside and 30 degrees inside the room. But if you do turn on the AC, it gets a bit too cold. It's quite a dilemma. Also, the ventilation fan is a bit noisy. So, if you turn on the AC at night, it's cold; if you turn on the fan for ventilation, it's loud. If you don't turn anything on, it's too hot to sleep. I've stayed in other five-star hotels before where the room remained cool even with the AC off. I recommend addressing these issues.

Shenzhendongdong
The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a few minutes' walk from Nanjing East Road Metro Station, making it incredibly convenient to reach the Bund, pedestrian street, and various other attractions.
The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of Chinese and Western dishes, all of good quality, allowing you to enjoy a satisfying meal before heading out for the day.
However, there were a few drawbacks. The family room we booked was on the smaller side, with limited space once our luggage was in. The balcony room's view was obstructed by other buildings, so we didn't get the expected Bund view, which was a bit disappointing. The hotel also has many international guests, so travelers who prefer a quieter environment might want to consider this beforehand.
Overall, this hotel is suitable for tourists primarily focused on sightseeing and returning to the hotel in the evenings to rest. For couples, I'd recommend opting for a standard room. For families, consider carefully before booking a family room. If you're hoping for a Bund view, I wouldn't advise choosing a balcony room.

Guest UserThe night snack chef was very friendly, and the noodles were delicious. They even prepared ice cubes for the mung bean soup, which was a real lifesaver for me after spending a whole day in the sun at the park – it cooled me down and quenched my thirst, truly a rare treat. The towels were clean, and there was a ventilating window.

The hotel environment is great, and the surrounding area is very convenient. It's only about a 5-6 minute walk to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. There's also a convenience store downstairs. The front desk service was excellent, and the breakfast was very rich, a Chinese-style buffet. The housekeeping auntie was very friendly, and the room was clean, hygienic, bright, and the bedding was very comfortable.

Guest UserIf I had one more cup of coffee at breakfast, or if the elevator had been delayed a bit, the outcome would have been different. But the universe's timeline is fixed, so my car still ended up there at that exact moment, getting honked at furiously by the car behind me. That's when I flipped my first middle finger, immediately followed by being aggressively cut off for the first time. Everything happened so fast, there was no time to think. Looking back, I still want to write something to warn myself. Regardless, I'm still grateful to Manager Tan at the front desk of Shanghai Ocean Hotel for upgrading us to a suite. The new room had a great view, overlooking the Oriental Pearl Tower and Magnolia Plaza.

The hotel has its own free parking. You don't even have to go outside to take the subway directly to the Bund and Lujiazui, as there's a subway entrance right downstairs, which is incredibly convenient. Across the street is the beautiful Century Park, perfect for a morning workout. I stayed on the 20th floor and even had a small balcony with a view. Although the hotel is a bit older, the staff are very professional and the service is excellent. I think it's fantastic for its price point.

The garden environment was very pleasant. The service was also excellent, and breakfast could be delivered to the room. All the staff were very enthusiastic.
