We had such an amazing experience at this Disney hotel, and I truly feel like this property deserves every bit of praise. My husband, our 6 kids, and I traveled all the way from Orlando, Florida in America, and after such a big trip, staying somewhere this welcoming, clean, and well-run meant so much to us. From the moment we arrived, the staff made such a strong impression on me. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly kind, welcoming, patient, and genuinely helpful. It did not feel fake or forced at all, it felt like they truly cared about making sure our stay was comfortable and special. One thing I really want to mention is that even with us traveling from America, the language barrier was honestly not hard at all when dealing with the staff. That was something I truly appreciated. Everyone was so kind, so patient, and so willing to help that communication never felt stressful. They made everything feel easy and comfortable, and that meant a lot, especially traveling with a big family and small children. No matter what we needed, they did their best to help us understand and made sure we felt taken care of. That level of effort, patience, and kindness goes a very long way, and they really made us feel welcome. The staff went above and beyond in so many little ways, and those things really added up. Any time I had a question, needed help, or wasn’t sure about something, someone was there with a smile, ready to help without hesitation. That kind of service stands out, especially when you are traveling with family, and it made such a huge difference for us. They were not just “nice” .They were the kind of staff that makes you stop and think, wow, these people really care. You can feel when people are just doing a job, and you can also feel when people are truly making an effort to give guests a great experience. This staff absolutely did that. Now let me talk about the cleanliness, because honestly this is one of the cleanest hotel properties and rooms I have ever seen in my life. I do not say that lightly. The moment we walked in, everything looked absolutely spotless. Not just tidy, not just “good enough,” but truly immaculate. The room looked fresh, polished, and cared for in a way that is hard to explain unless you see it for yourself. Every surface looked pristine. The floors were clean, the bathroom was shining, the bedding felt fresh and perfectly maintained, and the entire room gave that rare feeling of being deeply, properly cleaned. There was not that uneasy hotel feeling some places have where you start wondering what has or has not really been cleaned. This place felt the complete opposite. It felt sanitized, refreshed, and cared for to the highest standard. The room was so clean that it immediately made us feel comfortable enough to fully relax. When you are staying with children, cleanliness matters even more, and this hotel absolutely exceeded expectations. I noticed the details, and the details matter. The bathroom was spotless, the beds looked crisp and fresh, the furniture was clean, the floors looked amazing, and the whole room felt like it had been cleaned with real care and pride. Even beyond the room itself, the entire property was unbelievably clean. That is what impressed me so much. Usually a hotel might have a nice room, but the hallways, common areas, elevators, or grounds do not always match that same level of care. Here, the cleanliness was consistent everywhere. The entire property was beautifully maintained, and you could clearly tell that cleanliness is taken seriously at every level. Everything looked so well-kept, so polished, and so intentionally maintained that it honestly made the whole stay feel even more luxurious and relaxing. It is such a good feeling to be able to fully settle in and enjoy your stay without noticing dirt, neglect, or things being overlooked. This hotel gave us that peace of mind completely. This stay exceeded my expectations. The hotel is located right on Nanjing East Road, making it incredibly convenient for taking the subway, enjoying the night view, and dining. The room facilities and equipment were well-maintained, all amenities were complete, and the hygiene was meticulous and thorough. The environment was clean and comfortable. Overall, I was very satisfied with everything. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Shanghai.

I stayed for over half a month, and the breakfast was truly excellent. The room was spacious, and when I had a small issue the night before checking out, customer service resolved it incredibly quickly. On the day I checked out, it was pouring rain, and a tall, short-haired lady at the front desk personally held an umbrella for me and walked me to my car. Both times she assisted me at the front desk, I truly felt the Mercure's hospitality. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Shanghai.

Good afternoon, everyone! Here are a few impressions of the hotel. The first thing I’d like to mention is the location! It’s very convenient. The main attractions in the city centre are within a 5‑minute walk from the hotel — the Bund waterfront, the pedestrian street, the Yuyuan Garden, and others. It also takes about 5 minutes to get to the metro. And the line 2 (green) is convenient — it leads to the places you need or to the necessary transfers, for example, towards Disneyland, the Safari Park, or other locations. As for cleanliness, the hotel is clean. The rooms are cleaned daily. Towels are changed daily. Moreover, each towel is packaged in its own separate bag. We booked a family room with a balcony and two beds. The room had bathrobes and slippers. The beds are comfortable and large. There is a TV, of course, but in theory it’s useless because it doesn’t have Russian channels. There is a convenient remote control for the curtains and lighting next to the main bed. The only thing is that the remote control buttons are constantly lit, even at night. Sometimes it’s distracting. But at least you can see it at night. The sockets and chargers are of the appropriate format. Therefore, you either need to bring adapters or be content with two USB chargers. Moreover, there are no chargers near the second bed (the one for the child). A separate point regarding the bathroom: I don’t know why the lighting is arranged in such a way that when you go to the bathroom, the light in the hallway also turns on. Apparently, this is because the sink is also located in the hallway (outside the bathroom). The reason for this arrangement is unknown, but it’s quite common in Chinese hotels. Since the door to the shower (and the toilet, which is the same thing) is sliding, there’s certainly no point in talking about any sound insulation. Also, light from the shower gets into the room, which is inconvenient. In the bathroom, there aren’t enough hooks to hang towels and robes separately (there’s only one hook). There aren’t enough shelves to store your belongings above the sink. Overall, the room needs some improvements for family use. If you’re staying with three people, you’ll need three chairs instead of two around the table on the balcony (don’t count on a view from the balcony — there isn’t one). The staff at the hotel is very friendly. They provide excellent 24‑hour assistance at the reception. There are voice translators for various languages. It’s very convenient. The hotel is located somewhat away from the street, so you don’t hear much street noise. We hired a tour guide, and he really praised the location. Overall, we’re satisfied. There are various shopping and historical sites within easy reach. You can even get around on foot if you wish. But the metro also works great! I forgot to mention the breakfasts. I’ll be straight with you: if you like Asian cuisine, you’ll like it. My family and friends were pleased. And, interestingly, this hotel also offers a free dinner starting at 9:30 p.m. You can make it in time for salads and dumplings. Overall, it’s a good hotel — if you’re prepared for a few nuances.

We arrived at the hotel quite late on the first day. In the first room, we found two hairs, one long and one short, on the pillows and duvet (it was a mother and daughter staying, so a short hair was impossible). After reporting it to the front desk, they gave us a different room of the same type. The second room still had a long hair, but we just accepted it and stayed. Later, we found long hairs on the chair and the bath towel was wet, but again, I had my own. I had checked the hotel's detail page, and it said check-out by 2 PM on the last day was fine. However, when we returned to the hotel at 12 PM, the room key no longer worked. The hotel phone was busy, so we had to drag our child and luggage back to the third floor to swipe the card again before we could re-enter the room to pack. We've already canceled our subsequent bookings.

Located in a very convenient location, easily walkable distance to the bund and Nanjing Road. Beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious, loved the hot water and water pressure. Best part was the fact that they offered a free laundry service that they could deliver to you once it’s done! They also helped collect all our Taobao items that arrived at the front desk, thank you so much for the service!

This is an older hotel in North Bund, offering the best value for money. Although the facilities are a bit dated, the location is absolutely superb. Right across the street is the riverside promenade, and if you walk along it, you'll see the Oriental Pearl Tower. Upon check-in, I received a complimentary room upgrade, and from my window, I had a direct view of the Oriental Pearl Tower. Plus, food delivery robots bring orders right to your room. Highly recommended! For this price in North Bund, it's incredibly good value! Very highly recommended!

The location is a real winner – it's within walking distance of Shanghai Railway Station, and getting around by subway to other places is super convenient. It makes business trips and vacations much less stressful. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was just right, not too soft and not too firm, so I slept really well. The soundproofing was also good; I barely heard any noise from the hallway. The front desk staff were welcoming and efficient with both check-in and check-out. They also have a laundry room, which is very handy for washing clothes when you're traveling. It’s a quiet spot in a bustling area and offers great value for money. I highly recommend it for transit or short trips to Shanghai. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.

Had a great stay, and they even upgraded my room! The bed was super comfy and the bathroom was huge. The overall facilities were complete and well-maintained, and the cleanliness was top-notch. The garden environment was very pleasant. The service was also excellent, and breakfast could be delivered to the room. All the staff were very enthusiastic. I forgot their names, but I definitely have to mention the front desk guy today – he was especially helpful! I'll come again next time.

The hotel's location is excellent, right above Metro Line 2, making travel super convenient. Century Park is just across the road, perfect for a morning or evening workout. The only minor complaint is that the room facilities are a bit old.
