Momo GWe had such an amazing experience at this Disney hotel, and I truly feel like this property deserves every bit of praise. My husband, our 6 kids, and I traveled all the way from Orlando, Florida in America, and after such a big trip, staying somewhere this welcoming, clean, and well-run meant so much to us. From the moment we arrived, the staff made such a strong impression on me. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly kind, welcoming, patient, and genuinely helpful. It did not feel fake or forced at all, it felt like they truly cared about making sure our stay was comfortable and special.
One thing I really want to mention is that even with us traveling from America, the language barrier was honestly not hard at all when dealing with the staff. That was something I truly appreciated. Everyone was so kind, so patient, and so willing to help that communication never felt stressful. They made everything feel easy and comfortable, and that meant a lot, especially traveling with a big family and small children. No matter what we needed, they did their best to help us understand and made sure we felt taken care of. That level of effort, patience, and kindness goes a very long way, and they really made us feel welcome.
The staff went above and beyond in so many little ways, and those things really added up. Any time I had a question, needed help, or wasn’t sure about something, someone was there with a smile, ready to help without hesitation. That kind of service stands out, especially when you are traveling with family, and it made such a huge difference for us. They were not just “nice” .They were the kind of staff that makes you stop and think, wow, these people really care. You can feel when people are just doing a job, and you can also feel when people are truly making an effort to give guests a great experience. This staff absolutely did that.
Now let me talk about the cleanliness, because honestly this is one of the cleanest hotel properties and rooms I have ever seen in my life. I do not say that lightly. The moment we walked in, everything looked absolutely spotless. Not just tidy, not just “good enough,” but truly immaculate. The room looked fresh, polished, and cared for in a way that is hard to explain unless you see it for yourself. Every surface looked pristine. The floors were clean, the bathroom was shining, the bedding felt fresh and perfectly maintained, and the entire room gave that rare feeling of being deeply, properly cleaned.
There was not that uneasy hotel feeling some places have where you start wondering what has or has not really been cleaned. This place felt the complete opposite. It felt sanitized, refreshed, and cared for to the highest standard. The room was so clean that it immediately made us feel comfortable enough to fully relax. When you are staying with children, cleanliness matters even more, and this hotel absolutely exceeded expectations. I noticed the details, and the details matter. The bathroom was spotless, the beds looked crisp and fresh, the furniture was clean, the floors looked amazing, and the whole room felt like it had been cleaned with real care and pride.
Even beyond the room itself, the entire property was unbelievably clean. That is what impressed me so much. Usually a hotel might have a nice room, but the hallways, common areas, elevators, or grounds do not always match that same level of care. Here, the cleanliness was consistent everywhere. The entire property was beautifully maintained, and you could clearly tell that cleanliness is taken seriously at every level. Everything looked so well-kept, so polished, and so intentionally maintained that it honestly made the whole stay feel even more luxurious and relaxing.
It is such a good feeling to be able to fully settle in and enjoy your stay without noticing dirt, neglect, or things being overlooked. This hotel gave us that peace of mind completely. You can tell there is real effort behind the scenes to keep ever

Leyi119The location is fantastic, no doubt. It's a five-minute walk to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and ten minutes to the Bund. As for the view room, it was just okay because the floors aren't very high; the highest is only the eighth floor. When we went for breakfast, there was hardly anything left, and they didn't replenish much. Some items were already cold. The bed was a bit too soft, and the air conditioning kept cycling on and off with a loud starting noise, which affected our sleep at night. Upon entering the room, a device on the ceiling, similar to an alarm, kept flashing a green light. It stayed on even when all the room lights were off and shone directly onto the bed, which was quite annoying. Our requests made when booking the room were mostly ignored. I've stayed in many hotels during my travels, and for over a thousand [yuan/dollars] a night, this experience was just average.

BB⚡™The room was clean and tidy, with a comfortable color scheme. The bathrobes were made of a pleasant material. The front desk staff, both the guys and girls, were all very friendly. It was also very convenient to order takeout to the hotel. The floor-to-ceiling window offered a lush green view, which was lovely. On Sunday, they even allowed me a late checkout until 2 PM.

HYTOKOur check-in experience was extremely disappointing and frustrating.
We arrived after 4pm, and at that time only my friend and I arrived first to check in for 2 of the 3 rooms we had booked. We expected to check in and start enjoying our trip, but the rooms were still not ready.
We ended up spending around 2–3 hours waiting at the hotel for the rooms to be ready. What made it even more frustrating was that after waiting for so long, the rooms we were given were not even the room type we had booked and paid for.
We had booked 3 rooms of the same room type — South Island with a big sofa, which was also the more expensive room type. However, we were initially told that only 2 rooms of this type were available.
The staff later suggested that we upgrade the room so that we could stay together and asked us to pay an additional RMB 50 per night. They try convince us that it will be a better facing of window. However, it seemed that the hotel had actually run out of the room type we booked. Instead of clearly admitting this, they tried to arrange an upgrade with an additional charge.
We insisted that we were willing to wait for the room we had originally booked. Eventually, they offered to upgrade 1 room for free after multiple communication.
When the rooms were finally ready, the rooms we were given did not have the Lshape big sofa we had booked and were located near the lift lobby, where renovation work was ongoing. The renovation noise was extremely loud and disturbing.
We even saw a repeat customer returning to the counter to request a room change because of the renovation noise. This made us wonder why guests were still being assigned rooms in such a noisy area when the hotel was already aware of the problem.
After making a fuss at the counter, the second room was eventually changed to the correct big-sofa room.
However, the third room still could not be changed. We were told to stay in the wrong room for one night and that they could only change it to the correct room type the next day.
As a gesture of goodwill, the hotel offered us some complimentary fruit. Unfortunately, it was just a whole pear and a small amount of grapes, and the fruit wasn't particularly tasty. After spending 2–3 hours waiting and dealing with the room issues, it felt more like a token gesture than a meaningful solution.
The breakfast was also quite disappointing, with a relatively limited selection of food. There wasn't much variety, so we did not feel that the breakfast offered very good value compared with what we expected from the hotel.
The most frustrating part was that we had already paid for the more expensive room type, yet we had to spend 2–3 hours waiting, repeatedly negotiate with the hotel staff, and still did not get what we had booked immediately.
We understand that rooms may sometimes be delayed, but this situation wasted a significant amount of our holiday time. We could have been out sightseeing or enjoying our trip instead of spending several hours at the hotel trying to sort out rooms that we had already paid for.
Overall, the poor room management, delayed check-in, inconsistent communication, attempted extra charge, incorrect room allocation, loud renovation noise, limited breakfast and underwhelming goodwill gesture made the stay quite disappointing. The hotel really needs to improve its room preparation, communication and handling of renovation works, especially when guests have already paid for a specific room type.

Anonymous UserThis was my second stay here, primarily because I felt it offered a slightly better value for money compared to other hotels in the area. However, I still want to give an objective review of its pros and cons.
**Pros:**
1. **Excellent Location:** It's very close to the subway station and Raffles City North Bund. This time, I got a room directly facing Dongdaming Road, which was quite spacious, well-lit, and offered a great street view.
2. **Convenient Wi-Fi:** The Wi-Fi connection was easy, though I had to reconnect every time I entered the room. Forgetting to do so could be a bit of a hassle.
3. **USB Ports:** Despite other facilities being decades out of date, it did have USB ports.
**Cons:**
1. **Outdated Amenities:** The musty smell in the corridors is probably hard to change given the age of the building, but other things could be updated. They still use small bar soaps for handwashing and tiny bottles for toiletries. It feels wasteful if you don't take them, but they're a nuisance to carry if you do, not to mention environmentally unfriendly. Also, the shower caddy in the shower stall wasn't very stable.
2. **Confusing Shower Faucet:** The shower faucet was perplexing. You'd typically assume red and blue indicators mean hot and cold water, but here, blue was for water volume and red for temperature. I suggest adding clear labels.
3. **Misplaced Anti-Slip Mat:** For some reason, the anti-slip mat was hung on the towel rack above the bathtub, which looked terrible. Couldn't it be rolled up and placed by the tub or in the shower enclosure? It almost felt like they didn't want guests to hang towels there.
4. **Disappointing Service:** I had to call housekeeping because I couldn't figure out the hot and cold water. I waited for nearly half an hour, and no one came, so I had to give up as I needed to leave. When I called again later, someone came quickly. The next day, I pressed the ”Do Not Disturb” light as I didn't need cleaning, but I still received a call confirming if I truly didn't need service, which felt unnecessary.

Staying in this hotel on a business trip, the experience exceeded expectations. The room is spacious, the network is stable and smooth, and the living environment is quiet.
The receptionist at the front desk is professional and polite, and the work is highly efficient. The location is convenient for transportation and travel.
The whole is clean and comfortable, the details are in place, and the cost performance is very high.
Subsequent business trips will be given priority.

XatrixerThe location is great. It is right next to the line 2 of Shanghai Metro. There is a public park - Century Park - right cross the street. The hotel staff was helpful, the room was clean, though the amenities were aged. One thing that made us uncomfortable is the tub/shower in the bathroom. It is a very odd configuration with an old plastic tub that flexes when step in, the tub has a relatively high “wall” to hop cross that definitely the point of hazardness. Also, there are spots of black mold in the seams of the tiles that were kind of gross! The bathroom definitely need to be reconfigured. See photos attached.

DoudoumikuThis B&B is a quiet retreat in a bustling area, offering great value for money. I chose it over the Moller Villa in the end. It's away from the elevated road, giving it a more local vibe, with plenty of small bars nearby. It's also very close to the Julo-Fuxing-Changle (JFC) citywalk route. Housekeeping was very prompt, and overall, it was a very comfortable stay. My only minor complaint is the lack of screens on the windows – I wanted to sleep with the window open but was worried about mosquitoes! 😂
