GGuest UserExcellent stay! Just came back from Shanghai after a trip with my families! I chose to stay in a room with 1 queen bed and 1 single bed which is really suitable for 3 persons. The room was very big (enough to have all of our suitcases open without having to close it lol) very clean, and the bed was so comfy. All the staffs are very supportive in every ways (transportations, food delivery and etc.) The hotel is very close to the station too. Highly recommend this place!

Room: Fantastic
Beds were huge & comfortable - we had an upgrade to a larger room. The shower and shower toiletries were so refreshing.
Towels were lovely soft & clean.
Breakfast was the best I have had for a long time. Lived the rice, fried eggs, noodles , fruit vegetables. Even clams one morning. Great variety of drinks.
The chief and staff were very happy & helpful.
Extremely clean.
I used the laundry room which also had a tumble dryer. This was useful due to travelling on to Beijing afterwards.
The other family rooms have slides and are duplex.
Sue the swimming pool is great in the summer.
Excellent price , excellent choice for Families going to Disneyland and other local trips.
Loved being able to go along the local street to see Shanghai local food, shops and life.
Seems to be a family run business which is lovely to support.
Location is great for the local shops , food, 7/11 supermarket for snacks & drinks
Restaurants and food for locals which was delicious and a great price.
Shuttle bus excellent. Taxi ( Didi) was £3 back from Disneyland . £11 to Shanghai Greenhouse Gardens ( evening ticket £5.40) this is an amazing trip not to be missed.

The original room I booked quite old and the toilet in the bathroom did not flush properly. So , the staff then upgraded the room for me which was newer, cleaner, more spacious, and in better condition. The room also have a refrigerator and a washing machine, but no iron. However, in both the original room and upgraded room, the water pressure in the bathroom was quite weak, and the hot water took several minutes to warm up. This could be an issue for guests staying during the winter.
Location:
The property is located in a commercial building directly connected to a shopping mall, making it very convenient with plenty of dining options both inside the shopping mall and from surrounding street vendors and supermarkets. The metro station is just a few steps away from the apartment.
In front of the apartment has a variety of children’s play equipment, which kids really enjoy. And Zhoupu night market is about 15-minute walk away , where you can find plenty of local street food, clothing stalls, and restaurants.
However, the apartment building is mostly occupied by local Chinese residents, and there are small businesses such as nail salons and massage shops on the same floor as the daily-rental rooms. As a result, the walk to the room feels a bit less private. As well as food delivery riders can also take the elevator directly to the guest floors since many residents frequently order food delivery. The hallways and elevators are quite old.
Overall:
The room offers good value for money with an excellent location and easy access to food and transportation.

GGuest UserI fell in love with this place! It is located in a quiet, quaint, and charming neighborhood with meticulously designed public spaces and architecture, as the area hosts art exhibition halls, craft schools, such as a french culinary institute.
Rooms and pictures are accurate as advertised. Hotel is aesthetically furbished without being overly-pretentious or grand. The staff working at the hotel have also been extremely accommodating and made me feel welcomed during my whole stay. They've helped me made online purchases for a travel power adaptor and power bank. And helped me with my late night food deliveries on my phone. Washing machine and dryer is available for use with no charge. The cafe also sells great coffee and food.
The public lounge area/cafe is extremely comfortable and quiet (except during 2 hours of lunchtime in the afternoon). If you need to work or just need to plan out your daily itinerary, you don't need to find some starbucks or co-working space. This is better. It has multiple power points and nicely lit. A few hotel guests can be seen just comfortably working here all day, sometimes late into the night.
If you need to workout daily, there are 2 gyms just 5-7 minutes walk away. They are located next to each other. One large multi-story one with pools and courts for different sports. The other is a no frills gym with all the necessary equipment with day and cheap weekly pass.
Most of the tourist destinations is 10mins away by drive/didi ride-hailing in the same Huangpu district, such as The Bund, Nanjing Road, People's Square, Tianzifang. The Huangpu river is 5 mins walk away.
If you enjoy relaxing walks in the day as well as night. If your trip is long and you don't want to be in the hustle and bustle of the tourist attractions. If you need comfortable sleep, then come here.

MM285342****Chose this hotel for a musical. Its main advantage is its central location and good value for money. The facilities are a bit old but still quite clean. The room is a bit small, and the bed is also small, making it a bit cramped for two people, but the firmness is just right, so it's still quite comfortable. There are many foreign guests, and breakfast is served for a long time, which is very convenient. If you care about price and location, and don't mind the room size, and want a hotel with a good location and high value for money, I would still highly recommend it.

JJuju1978Location is great, they provide laundry soaps/laundry machine which is great. Breakfast is so so. We had a room overlooking a side alley and we changed the room. The passage to the new room was wet and dripping, there was mold. It was actually disgusting to see that. Our stay was ok, i do not want to bash them, but surely it is not good health wise for your clients to sleep in a moldy place.
The staff are ok.

Mmatchameow_·I recently stayed at JI Hotel in Shanghai, and overall it was a solid experience. The hotel was clean, modern, and well maintained — the room was tidy, the bed comfortable, and the daily housekeeping kept everything in good condition.
The location was very convenient: easy access to subway/metro and public transport, which made getting around the city — sightseeing, shopping, dinner — a breeze.
The staff were friendly and helpful, with a generally professional and welcoming attitude. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and services (like laundry or breakfast if offered) added to the convenience.
That said, a couple of minor drawbacks: some of the rooms felt a bit compact (especially if you have a lot of luggage), and depending on which branch you stay at, nightlife or street noise from nearby restaurants/bars could be noticeable.
Overall: Good value for money. JI Hotel is a dependable choice if you want a central, convenient, no-fuss base in Shanghai — especially for city trips or short stays. I’d recommend it, and would consider staying there again.
