I loved this place, and boutique describes it well. From the moment I set foot in the front door I felt right at home with the friendly welcome. Staff could not do enough to help, and their smiles brightened the day of this weary traveller. This extended to the crew staffing the restaurant and bar on the fourth floor where I enjoyed a few very well priced cocktails while soaking up the city views. My room was comfortable and clean and the bed was dreamy. And talk about location!!! A moments walk from gardens and walking street shopping with a charming little bar next door. The biggest problem I had was deciding what to eat for breakfast which the ample options on offer. I highly recommend

Having stayed at numerous top-tier five-star hotels both domestically and internationally, especially many in Shanghai, The Bellagio Shanghai is one of the very few that makes me want to return again and again. It's grand yet refined, with impeccable attention to detail. This stay was even better; Penny from guest services was beautiful and enthusiastic. She called and messaged me in advance to inquire about my check-in needs, and upon learning I was with a friend's family, she proactively arranged our rooms on the same floor and close to each other. She thoughtfully prepared fruit and toiletries for the children and even helped coordinate with their partner brand, Range Rover, for station drop-off, ensuring my friend's family and I had a perfect stay. The location is superb, convenient for both The Bund and North Bund, offering Suzhou Creek views, quiet yet central. Another highlight is the fantastic breakfast; The Bellagio's mini wontons are arguably the best in the country. This is a purely handwritten review, and I am extremely, extremely satisfied.

The hotel facilities aren't brand new, and it doesn't have all the trendy, flashy stuff you see in influencer-style hotels, but it has everything you need. The AC and hot water work great, the bed is very comfortable, and the toiletries are all there. It's perfectly adequate for a regular stay and doesn't detract from the experience at all – truly great value for money. Honestly, when I stay at a hotel, I don't look for luxury; attentive service and cleanliness are enough. This hotel doesn't rely on gimmicks; it's all about genuine care. It's perfect whether you're traveling for leisure or business, and it's definitely a place I'd choose again next time. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

The room was clean, tidy, comfortable, and odorless. The environment and facilities truly reflect a people-oriented approach, paying attention to the smallest details. However, there's a slight disappointment: I had requested a south-facing room when booking, but unfortunately, my request wasn't fulfilled this time. A south-facing room is my first and only preference when staying at a hotel, as it allows me to open the window for ventilation, fresh air, and a good view.

Stepping into the lobby, the street noise instantly fades away. Retro patterned marble floors stretch forward, while the high, vaulted stained-glass ceiling casts a dazzling light. Sunlight filters through, creating shifting patterns and an overwhelming sense of history. In the center of the hall stands an elegant black grand piano, poised as if ready to play the enchanting melodies of old Shanghai. Colonnades, vintage chandeliers, exquisite floral arrangements – the recent renovation hasn't erased the building's original historical essence but has instead perfectly blended modern comfort with old-world elegance. Every detail is worth a moment's appreciation. The guest rooms continue the serene and elegant style. Dark brown wooden doorframes and a headboard featuring red and gold vintage patterns are complemented by a soft, sophisticated carpet. There are no overly flamboyant decorations; it's understated yet luxurious. The bed is soft and comfortable, the room is bright and airy, offering a tranquil escape from the bustling city. At night, closing the windows effectively blocks out street noise, ensuring a peaceful sleep. The bathroom is spacious, with marble countertops, a retro carved mirror, and even a bathtub. After a long day, a hot bath washes away travel fatigue. The amenities truly live up to the standard of a well-established luxury hotel. The geographical location is undoubtedly the hotel's strongest asset. Situated in the city center, Huangpu District, it's within walking distance of key attractions like People's Square, The Bund, and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. Stepping out, you're right in the vibrant streets of Shanghai, making transportation incredibly convenient for sightseeing and dining. Of course, a century-old building will inevitably bear the marks of time. Compared to newly built hotels, the room layouts here have a unique retro charm. But this unparalleled sense of historical atmosphere is precisely the most precious gift the Yangtze Hotel offers. If you're tired of generic chain hotels and wish to understand Shanghai in a different way, the Yangtze Hotel is an excellent choice. Here, you're not just staying in a room; you're living a forgotten chapter of the city's past, a gentle reunion with old Shanghai.

The environment at Star River Bay is consistently excellent. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the facilities are well-maintained. The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices. A special thanks to front desk staff member Xiaoguan, who provided warm and professional service. Check-in was efficient, and she thoughtfully helped us arrange a room with a great view. Any issues we had were addressed quickly, making us feel completely at ease throughout our stay. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Shanghai! 👍

This was my second time bringing my 72-year-old mother to the Banyan Tree on the Bund, and it happened to be her zodiac birth year. The hotel specially arranged a birthday setup, full of ceremony, and even gave her a birthday cake. My mom was pleasantly surprised, and the service was as excellent as ever. Our butler, Cynthia, was incredibly thoughtful and warm, making us feel right at home! The rooftop terrace bar offers a direct view of the Lujiazui 'Three-Piece Suit' in Pudong, perfect for enjoying afternoon tea while admiring the beautiful scenery. The night view is even more stunning! The only slight drawback is that the hotel is a bit old, and the showerhead isn't very comfortable, but the cleanliness is still very good. Breakfast was quite ordinary, but my mom said she was very satisfied overall 😊 A special thanks to Alisa, who was so considerate of my mother. Because it was raining, she arranged a complimentary transfer service for us from the hotel lobby directly to the South Railway Station, putting a perfect end to my mother's trip to Shanghai 👍

Staying at this hotel during the National Day holiday in Shanghai is definitely a solid choice, you won't be disappointed. The service is excellent, and Roman at the front desk proactively greeted me during checkout with a warm and enthusiastic attitude. This truly is a hidden gem in Putuo District!

I had a very satisfying stay. The lobby atmosphere and environment were excellent, and the location was superb. It's only a 15-minute walk to The Bund and Nanjing Road, making it convenient for taxis and public transport. The room was simple, clean, and well-equipped with all facilities in good working order. You could see the 'three-piece set' (referring to the three iconic skyscrapers of Shanghai) and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower from the window. The front desk service was attentive, and check-in was quick and easy, not taking much time at all. The room was very well-maintained and even had a mini-bar and complimentary snacks. Overall, I had a great experience and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai.
