"#Room#: Very comfortable, perfect for families of three or four with kids. I was traveling with two children and one adult, and my feedback is that we all slept incredibly well and had a great rest. It was quiet and the soundproofing was excellent. #Cleanliness#: Spotless. The housekeeper cleaned daily, changing sheets, duvet covers, and so on. They even installed bed rails for the kids, which was very thoughtful. #Breakfast#: A great mix of Chinese and Western options. There were Western choices like pastries, bread, and coffee, alongside Chinese favorites such as steamed buns, 'wowotou' (corn bread), corn, plain congee, millet congee, noodles, vegetables, and eggs. The fruit selection was extensive, and there was juice, milk, and soy milk – a wide and complete variety. #Dinner#: Noodles, wontons, etc. The kids loved it all. We actually gained a few pounds staying here because the food was so good! We ate well, slept well, and felt relaxed and at ease 😄. #Service#: The front desk staff were incredibly warm, attentive, thoughtful, and very professional. I would definitely choose to stay at Mercure Shanghai Yu Garden Bund again. I highly recommend Mercure Shanghai Yu Garden Bund to anyone planning to visit with children~"

"The hotel is at very convenient location for taking the subway, making our trip around Shanghai quick and easy. My friend and I received amazing service from Lili (莉莉) as we were foreigners and had payment technicalities. She was very kind, patient and accomodating as she explained and helped us through the refund process to sort out our booking. We were also pleasantly surprised that she upgraded our room to the 20th floor. When we checked out to leave for the airport, Lili gave us a gift of eyemasks and essential oils for our trip back to Australia. We are very happy and grateful for her service during our stay. The rest of the staff were very kind and friendly, as they had recommended us a nearby store for souvenirs and places to visit as we had to change our itinerary due to the weather."

Hotel near The Bund Area,Shanghai
The Shanghai Bund Puya Hotel is located on Beijing East Road, next to the Suzhou River, and offers breathtaking views of the Shanghai Bund. The hotel is within walking distance to famous Shanghai landmarks such as the Bund, Nanjing East Road Pedestrian Street, Lujiazui, Xintiandi, People's Square, and Yu Garden; Adjacent to the No. 2 and No. 10 subway lines, it is convenient to enter and exit, enjoying the prosperity. The hotel has a total of 18 floors, with more than 100 luxury rooms and suites. The excellent viewing angle in the room will never miss the wonderful difference between the day and night of the Bund. Adhering to the aesthetic concept of "one city, one painting" of Puyan, the hotel creates a space that combines oriental charm and modern consciousness, perfectly presenting the Haishui culture of the Bund that has been passed down for a hundred years - modern and nostalgic, modern and retro. In this old ten-mile foreign land, today's financial hub, Puyan uses modern brushstrokes to meticulously depict the details of the iterations of time: the wonderful continuation of local traditional shapes, the exquisite carving of details, and the elegance of the East. The harmonious coexistence of the overall tone of light and dark, the minimalist art of extended lines, and the compatibility with modern rhythm. All kinds of ingenious designs create a subtle balance between modern and traditional, just like the cultural context of old Shanghai, which is both inclusive and accommodating.24-hour fitness center to keep you in shape at any time; The 18th-floor sky restaurant offers unobstructed views, allowing you to enjoy the dazzling night view of the Bund; The Chinese-style specialty restaurant interprets the authentic Shanghai local cuisine, and the star chefs skillfully prepare it, bringing a rich taste experience. The Shanghai Bund Puya Hotel offers guests a comfortable and dignified stay, as well as a cultural and artistic atmosphere, allowing guests to feel the pulse of the city and enjoy the unique charm of Shanghai's Bund.

"Our stay at the Qingmeng Space Slide House was a delightful surprise. The hotel's location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and exploring. The room was specially designed for children, featuring a fun slide and a pool full of colorful ball pit balls. As soon as my child entered the room, they were completely engrossed in play, which significantly amplified the joy of our trip. ❤️❤️❤️ The hotel also thoughtfully provides a free self-service laundry room, which was a huge convenience for washing clothes while traveling. Moreover, the staff here are wonderfully gentle and patient, offering meticulous and considerate service, always responding promptly to our needs. This warm and thoughtful service, combined with the child-friendly themed room, makes it particularly suitable for families traveling with children. I will definitely choose this hotel again for our next family trip."

"Perhaps because I checked the online reviews right before check-in, I didn't find it too terrible overall, but I honestly can't give it a good review. I'll try my best to objectively recount my experience here: I'd been working non-stop for days and just wanted to find a place nearby to catch some sleep in the afternoon. It wasn't until I arrived that I realized the hotel was right next to the People's Grand Theatre and Star Space, which is super convenient. However, I felt that a significant portion of the price was for this prime location (not for a good view, though). The hotel rooms seem to be on the 2nd-3rd floors of this building. Higher up, there's another hotel called Wana Executive Hotel, and then over 20 more floors of other businesses. It's a bustling place with people of all ages coming and going, which makes maintaining overall hygiene and order within the building quite challenging. Only one elevator is designated for hotel use. Before entering the elevator lobby, you have to go through a gate. You need to register your facial scan at check-in, and then it identifies you by your room number (xxxxx). You have to use facial recognition to enter and exit. I think many people might find this intrusive, especially since the commercial complex within the building is quite complicated; I didn't feel this system significantly improved security. As for the room itself, the room phone didn't work, and there was no information on how to contact the front desk. The Wi-Fi connection instructions weren't provided. The bathrobe had frayed edges, and the towels were unraveling and hadn't been replaced (I don't even know how to accurately describe their condition). The overhead shower in the bathroom was initially dripping, but once I turned on the handheld shower, it started leaking so profusely it felt like a waterfall. The toiletries, judging by their scent, didn't seem cheap, and based on the design outside the room, the hotel isn't positioned as a budget chain. But the overall stay experience definitely needs improvement. Additionally, the hotel doesn't have food delivery robots, so if you order takeout, you have to go down to the delivery cabinet downstairs to pick it up yourself."

"We enjoyed our stay here and the location is amazing. There was a young man who could speak a little bit English and we experienced that everyone was friendly and helpful. We had breakfast during our stay, and the food options were simple but really delicious! Our room looked exactly like what we expected, and we were really happy with it. The cleaning staffs are also friendly and we were pleased with the hygiene. The aircondition is also great since it was very hot in Shanghai during our stay. The location is surrounded by a street with lots of good restaurants – some being open past midnight, a local mall and 24/7 convenience stores. Everything was practical and the metro was just over the street, which was easy for us to get to The Bund and Nanjing road. We appreciate our stay and can recommend it to everyone who wish to be close to the city, but also like a quiet area in night time with many good food options!"

"1. **Regarding the hardware:** The room itself is nice – clean, with new facilities, and in a great location close to the subway. However, because the location is so prime, space is at a premium, so the room size is limited. The TV is positioned in a way that takes up too much space, leaving almost no room between the bed and the TV, making it easy to bump into. 2. **Regarding the service:** The breakfast was good, and both the front desk and room service were excellent. 3. **Minor issues:** I suggest a thorough check of the entire building's air conditioning system. We were informed that there's central air conditioning and were advised not to use the in-room AC for energy saving and environmental protection. However, if you don't turn on the in-room AC, you'll be sweating profusely within minutes – it was 38 degrees outside and 30 degrees inside the room. But if you do turn on the AC, it gets a bit too cold. It's quite a dilemma. Also, the ventilation fan is a bit noisy. So, if you turn on the AC at night, it's cold; if you turn on the fan for ventilation, it's loud. If you don't turn anything on, it's too hot to sleep. I've stayed in other five-star hotels before where the room remained cool even with the AC off. I recommend addressing these issues."

Staying at the Manxin Hotel Jing'an this time truly felt like coming home! Its location right next to the train station is incredibly convenient for travelers; you just walk a few steps with your luggage and you're there. The lobby felt so welcoming, and there's even a bakery on the first floor with delicious treats. The front desk staff, both the guys and girls, were incredibly warm and thoughtful. They even offered to help me with my many suitcases and took them up to my room. I also received a complimentary room upgrade, which I really appreciated. The room itself was not only clean, but the bedding was so soft and cozy. I slept soundly until I woke up naturally, and all my travel fatigue just melted away. My absolute favorite was their buffet breakfast, especially the freshly made wontons – piping hot and so comforting with every bite. Next time I'm in Shanghai, this will definitely be my top choice!

This was my first stay here. It's not a brand new hotel, but the facilities are still good, and the room was clean and tidy. The breakfast was standard, typical for a business hotel. The front desk service was excellent, and they offer airport drop-off, which makes getting around very convenient. The location is about a 10-minute drive from the airport, and there are plenty of small shops nearby, so finding food isn't an issue. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for a family trip, this hotel offers a one-stop experience. We chose to stay on a sunny day, which made it even more value for money. There are plenty of outdoor facilities to enjoy. The sandy beach pool is a hit with the kids, and there's even a cute petting zoo where you can feed small animals. The outdoor pool is also great for photos, and the water quality is quite clean. The hotel provides cribs and bed rails, and Bob's service was excellent and responsive. I would definitely recommend this to my friends.

The room overall was pretty good and very comfortable. The cleaning staff came every day to tidy up, and the hygiene was excellent. Room facilities were mostly fine. The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and if a drink ran out, they'd proactively ask and refill it. The shuttle bus to the airport was punctual, and the front desk even gave a reminder call fifteen minutes beforehand. Within a one-kilometer radius, there's a Metro Line 2 station and a Bailian shopping mall, plus some other shops and convenience stores nearby, which is super convenient.

Our staycation was fantastic! 👍 I contacted the hotel in advance to arrange a bed rail and bottle sterilizer. Elio at the front desk was super nice ❤️. The pool experience was amazing, with a 0.5m children's pool equipped with water play facilities, and a 0.9m massage pool that even our baby could enjoy. The lifeguards were incredibly attentive, constantly keeping an eye on every family. When we left our swim ring in the room, one of them immediately gave our baby a floating board. The gym is full-sized, and I saw many group classes I'd love to try next time. The kids' play area is huge; our 18-month-old had a blast climbing around. Hotel guests get 24-hour access, covering two days. The hotel food is also suitable for small children, so no need to bring your own baby food! Plus, it's connected to Kerry Parkside, so you can buy anything you need on the spot. My husband said he wants to come for a staycation twice a month now!

Banyan Tree Shanghai On The Bund

9.4/10

CNAnonymous User
I chose this hotel because it was recommended by Ctrip as the number one hotel for room views. I often stay at Banyan Tree hotels when I'm vacationing abroad. However, the Banyan Tree Shanghai was quite a disappointment. First, I'm not sure how it topped Ctrip's list. There are many hotels with better views at the same price point. The standard rooms here only offer a view of the river. If you're going for a deluxe room, there are definitely better hotels to choose from. I arrived at the hotel around 9 PM, and the ambient lighting was very dim, which gave a poor first impression. During check-in, it was the first time a five-star hotel tried to upsell me a room upgrade. It felt like I was at an all-season hotel being pushed to sign up for a membership card. I mentioned that it was my birthday the next day and asked if the hotel could provide some decorations. The response was that I'd need to inform the front desk again tomorrow for the decoration service. Why do I need to inform them twice? Most hotels offer concierge services nowadays, but Banyan Tree requires me to go to the front desk again the next day for decorations. This really shows a lack of service awareness. Ctrip automatically offers room upgrades, and since it was my birthday, I rarely encounter situations where an upgrade isn't given. When I asked why I couldn't be upgraded, they said there were no rooms available. However, I checked the room availability and saw there were. When I asked again, they replied it depends on the situation and couldn't be arranged at that moment. Upon reaching my room, I ordered takeout, only to find that it could only be delivered to the entrance. I then had to call the front desk to confirm my order before staff would bring it up, which was very inconvenient. After opening the window, the view was actually mediocre – half river view, half of the offices in the opposite securities building (clearly visible). It was a far cry from the advertised scenic views. I wanted to upgrade my room and asked a staff member to show me around. After the tour, I was told there were no rooms available. I went to the hotel pool and found it to be an underground children's pool, also selling ** fitness packages. The pool walls were old and moldy. I really wouldn't recommend it. On the positive side: The staff member who showed me the upgraded room, the restaurant staff, the bellboy, and the rooftop bar staff were all very pleasant and provided genuine service. The hotel breakfast was excellent, plentiful, and delicious, and served until 12 PM. Check-out time could be arranged flexibly. Ignoring the view with the window closed, the room space arrangement was very good. In summary: It's an older five-star hotel, half of which feels outdated and the upselling felt a bit 'low-rent.' The other half still maintains the standards of a high-end hotel. Overall, the value for money is low, and the comfort level is also low.

This hotel offers incredible value for money! I was surprised to find a pool and hot springs, and the room was quite spacious. While the immediate area isn't super convenient, ordering food delivery was easy, and the robot delivery was quick. The environment is absolutely lovely – surrounded by lush greenery, and the entire complex is very quiet. It was a fantastic staycation. My only minor complaint is that the breakfast could be better, and you have to pay upfront if you want to add it, you can't charge it to your room, which isn't very convenient. Finally, a big thank you to the hotel for the room upgrade, which really helped with accommodating my older child.

I wasn't going to leave a review, but since the guest services team messaged me asking for one, I'll comment on a few things: 1. **View**: As one of Pudong's iconic buildings, the hotel offers excellent views. Being on a high floor, you get great panoramic views of the Bund and other Pudong buildings, especially at night – truly impressive. 2. **Service**: The concierge staff's attitude was generally quite lukewarm with every inquiry. I'm not sure why they seemed so arrogant. From storing luggage initially to borrowing an umbrella, it felt like I owed them something. Perhaps they were overwhelmed by too many guests, but it felt like customers were a constant bother and unwelcome. The front desk staff's service was similar; their attitude felt below the average standard of other high-end hotels we've stayed at. 3. **Cleanliness**: Upon entering the room, the floor wasn't very clean. I'm unsure if it had been properly cleaned. 4. **Hardware**: The overall hardware conditions were good. The elevators were fast, and both hotel and room facilities were comprehensive. 5. **Responsiveness to requests during stay**: * First, we asked for two children's bathrobes. We were told to wait a while for staff to bring them. Twenty minutes passed with no update. When we called again, they said they currently had no spare bathrobes but had forgotten to inform us, leaving us to wait a long time for nothing. * Second, we requested an extra blanket, which was delivered promptly. 6. **Dining**: The buffet on the 56th floor had a relatively rich selection of dishes. However, the service staff (both those at the food stations and those clearing tables) again had generally mediocre attitudes. 7. **Swimming Pool**: The pool isn't large, and the water was a bit cool. There weren't many tourists, so the experience was decent. The changing room's hardware was good, though it felt a bit cold. 8. **Gym**: While not very spacious, the equipment was quite comprehensive. Most of the treadmill screens displayed 'no signal.' 9. **Highlight**: The 86th-floor Jin Mao Club Chinese restaurant was excellent. The food was great; I particularly recommend the Australian crispy veal. What's more, the service staff there had an outstanding attitude. We arrived quite late, around 9 PM, due to closure at 9:15 PM. The waitress quickly offered menu suggestions and waited until we finished our meal, providing very thoughtful service. She even suggested we could turn off the lights to enjoy the night view afterward. It's a shame I don't know her name (the waitress on duty on the evening of August 9th), but I want to commend her; she was the only highlight of our entire stay. 10. **Final thoughts**: It's a bit ironic that the hotel's guest services team added me on WeChat the day before check-in, didn't send any greetings during our stay, but then suddenly messaged me before check-out, offering to draft a positive review for me to post here. So, since you asked for a review, either we don't comment, or we comment truthfully. If the stay experience had truly been great, we would, of course, give a five-star review, but I can't give five stars against my conscience :)

Booked this hotel through Trip.com, and it was the Toy Story Hotel at Disneyland. The location is excellent, with very convenient transportation; there's a continuous shuttle bus to the park. The hotel faces the sea, and the lobby has a strong artistic and luxurious style, really emphasizing a 'family-friendly' vibe, making you feel like you're already in the park. The hotel offers a wealth of free family and children's facilities, including a fun family space. The room layout is well-designed and cozy, immersing you in a technological fantasy world. They provided various complimentary drinks and slippers, which made my child incredibly happy – they didn't want to leave the room! The bed was very comfortable, and the bedding and linens were pristine, giving a sense of peace of mind. The front desk staff were highly professional and exceptionally service-oriented, attentive and caring like family. It was my birthday month, and they even gave me a small gift, which I deeply appreciated! Every other staff member greeted us warmly. The entire hotel staff, from top to bottom, were incredibly enthusiastic, meticulous, and thoughtful, making us feel at home and very warm. It provided the absolute best stay experience. The entire hotel was exceptionally clean, with no hidden corners, and the bathroom was super clean with excellent water pressure for a very comfortable shower. Check-out was simple and quick, with no need to wait for room inspection. WiFi coverage was seamless throughout the hotel. Breakfast was incredibly rich with delicious food, making it a top choice for a family vacation with kids. I'll definitely stay here again next time and highly recommend it to friends.
