The room looks exactly like the pictures – great! It's well-equipped with a fridge, washing machine, and kitchenware. The bed is also very comfortable; the elderly slept well, and the kids loved it too. Customer service was very thoughtful, promptly replenishing supplies and checking in on our stay. They even offered a late check-out and luggage storage service at the end. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I'll definitely stay here again next time.

Taking advantage of a holiday, I brought my child to Shanghai for a few days, and the overall service at the Grand Hyatt Jin Mao truly impressed us. From the moment we walked in, we felt a genuine warmth. Whether it was asking for directions or seeking advice on local attractions, the staff enthusiastically shared practical tips. The hotel's environment is elegantly maintained, transportation is convenient, and the room comfort is excellent. My friend and I had a very pleasant vacation here, and the overall experience was fantastic.

The breakfast was good, and I appreciated having a gym and laundry room available. The soundproofing was decent too. My only minor complaint is that in the twin room, the bed near the window was directly in the path of the AC, which was a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise, everything else was great. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby, and it's super convenient to get to the Science and Technology Museum, East Library, East Museum, Century Park, and Dingxiang International.

This review starts with my check-in experience, specifically a conversation with the front desk. When I asked if the hotel had a self-service laundry facility, the front desk emphasized, 'We are a five-star hotel; five-star hotels don't have self-service laundry.' So, I will write this review based on my understanding of five-star hotel standards. First, upon arriving at the hotel, there were concierge staff standing at the entrance, but no one greeted us or helped us with our numerous bags, nor did they open the car door. We had to proactively greet the front desk staff when checking in. However, I must commend them for a staff member who brought us welcome tea. After check-in, the front desk only mentioned breakfast times and location, and it's only now that I remember there was also a complimentary late-night congee service that wasn't mentioned. Now, about the room. Before our arrival, we called the front desk to confirm a high-floor room with a view and requested the air conditioning be turned on in advance, as I'm very sensitive to heat. The front desk agreed, saying, 'We have central air conditioning, and it cools down very quickly.' However, when we arrived, the air conditioning in the room had not been turned on. I must say the view was indeed good. The room amenities were quite hidden; the mini-fridge and minibar were tucked away in cabinets, completely unnoticeable unless you specifically opened them. We only discovered them when we were about to leave. We left the hotel around 4-5 PM with the air conditioning on and the curtains and windows closed. We didn't return until almost midnight, and the air conditioning was still not cool. After midnight, I tried calling the front desk, operator, and guest relations manager multiple times using the room phone, but no one answered (we confirmed the calls went through). I finally got through using my mobile phone. Their response time was 15 minutes. The technician checked the air conditioning, found no issues, and reported that central air conditioning systems are all like this. They could only provide a fan, which we accepted, even though the fan was very noisy. The overall stay experience was quite mediocre. The room at 16℃ on the highest fan setting was still not as cool as the lobby. Breakfast was a highlight of this stay. The variety was rich, and the service was excellent. You scanned your room card to enter, but the price wasn't cheap. The staff were very prompt in clearing dishes, though the taste of the food was just average. The room hygiene was decent, except for a lot of dust on the edges of the bathtub; everything else was fine. The trash cans did not have liners. The service was very cold, perhaps impassive. During check-out, no one asked about our stay experience. Requesting an invoice was also met with a cold demeanor. On one occasion, when I didn't have my room card and needed an employee to help me access the elevator, there was no verbal communication from them at all (even though I used polite language).

The front desk staff were very friendly and even gave us a small gift. The breakfast at the restaurant was excellent with a wide variety of Chinese and Western options, all very delicious. The bedding in the room was also very comfortable, clean, and tidy. The surrounding area is quiet, and its proximity to the subway station makes getting around very convenient. Overall, a great hotel!

For this trip, we chose the Pudong Shangri-La. The hotel's Guest Relations Manager, Lynn, provided excellent and thoughtful service. She prepared our room in advance and arranged an upgrade to a higher floor room with a view of the 'Three-Piece Set' (referring to the iconic Lujiazui skyline), and even arranged a late check-out for us. We are very satisfied with her service. The hotel's location is also very convenient, making travel quite easy. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a fantastic view. Although the hotel shows some age, it is well-maintained. Overall, we are very pleased with our stay.

The Kempinski Hotel Shanghai | Five-Star Recommendation Excellent location in the heart of Lujiazui, with stunning views of the Huangpu River and the Oriental Pearl Tower right outside the window. The night view is simply unbeatable. The room was spacious and comfortable, with breathtaking river views from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The bathroom design was also very well thought out. The breakfast was abundant, and the executive lounge offered superb views. The service was attentive and thoughtful, with quick responses from the front desk to room service requests. The rooftop pool and fitness center were also a great bonus. It perfectly blends German sophistication with the charm of Shanghai, making it ideal for both business and leisure. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Shanghai. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The room's ceiling was quite low, making it feel cramped as soon as I entered. The TV was tiny; I couldn't even read the subtitles from the bed. When traveling, I expect a comfortable and clean stay. On the first day, out of the four pillows, one was missing a pillowcase, and two others had black marks, as if something had rubbed off on them, indicating poor linen storage. And the pillow inserts? They were incredibly dirty – absolutely disgusting. I tried not to let it ruin my mood, but ugh. On the second day, there was a black stain on a towel. When I asked for a new one, the attendant told me to go get it myself from the service cart? I just had to put up with it. The towels were also threadbare and stiff. The front desk staff, however, had a good attitude, and the breakfast was decent, fitting the price point.

It was quite clean, and the service was good. The only downside was the soundproofing; if someone was in the hallway, you could hear them from inside the room. Otherwise, it was great and very good value for money. However, you need to book in advance, as rooms are usually sold out during holidays, and prices increase significantly.

Great location, very close to the subway, and just around the corner is a local market with plenty of breakfast options. A shopping mall is also right across the street, so finding food is no problem. The room was very clean, and the soundproofing facing the street was surprisingly good, allowing for a great night's sleep.

This time I traveled to Shanghai, and chose Guanlan Jingxuan B&B (Lujiazui Store) after comparing many accommodations. The whole stay experience exceeded expectations. The room hygiene is very good, the door is clean and transparent, and there is no smell. The whole house has been carefully cleaned, the floor and tabletop are dust-free, the sofa is softly decorated and orderly, and the bedding is flat and soft. It can be seen that it can be changed for each guest. The bathroom is dry and tidy, there is no water, scale and smell, the washing area is cleaned carefully, and there are no traces of perfunctory cleaning in all corners. It is very safe to live. The supporting facilities of the homestay are complete and complete, the air conditioning, network operation is stable, the washing machine and daily appliances are well maintained, and the use process is not faulty. The floor-to-ceiling windows have excellent lighting and a wide view, and you can enjoy the city view. The landlord’s service is intimate and efficient, sends complete check-in guidelines in advance, responds promptly to messages, communicates smoothly if you have questions, the check-in and check-out process is simple and convenient, and there are no cumbersome procedures throughout the process. The location of the homestay is outstanding, located in the core area of Lujiazui, it is very convenient to travel to check in attractions and visit the business district. The room is spacious and the layout is reasonable. It is suitable for couples or friends. The overall environment is quiet, the privacy is good, and the home atmosphere is full. The comprehensive sanitary conditions, hardware facilities and service experience are very cost-effective, and all aspects are satisfactory. A very comfortable accommodation experience, next time I come to Shanghai, I will still give priority to booking here, and sincerely recommend it to friends who come to play.

This stay was fantastic! The location is super convenient. The room was more spacious than I expected, the bedding was clean and comfy, and the shower had great water pressure. I especially want to praise the service; everyone from the front desk to the cleaning staff was warm and polite. The breakfast was delicious too. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Shanghai, and I'll recommend it to my friends!

My overall experience at the eLong Anyun Hotel (Shanghai Lujiazui Minsheng Road Metro Station branch) was fantastic. The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes' walk from Minsheng Road Metro Station on Line 6, making daily commutes incredibly easy. The room was meticulously cleaned, very hygienic, and the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a very good night's sleep. The front desk staff were polite, friendly, and efficient. The Wi-Fi throughout the hotel was fast, and the facilities were comprehensive. There are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. For the Lujiazui area, this hotel offers excellent value for money. I would definitely choose this hotel again for future business trips to Shanghai. Highly recommended!

Overall, the room environment was satisfactory, but there was a strong cigarette smell when I entered, which was unpleasant. The room facilities were pretty standard; I assume it was renovated a while ago as the toilet and curtains weren't smart-enabled, but it was still quite tidy and clean. The hotel's location is excellent, right opposite Printemps, and across the street from Renji Hospital. Metro Line 4 is also right next door, which is very convenient.

The room was fantastic, equipped with smart home features and an 'XiaoDu' smart assistant, which was a great touch and saved us from having to call staff for minor things. It was also incredibly quiet. The front desk service was excellent, and there were plenty of dining options nearby, including a shopping mall and Hema (grocery store) right next door. Highly recommend!

Traveling to Shanghai with my kids, I'm so lucky I picked a hotel I'm really happy with! It's super convenient being near the subway station, making it easy to get to the Bund and Nanjing Road. The price is reasonable too, offering great value for money compared to other chain hotels in the area. **Facilities:** Toothbrushes, combs, and razors are all provided free of charge in the bathroom. If you need more, just ask the front desk and they'll give them to you for free. They even have washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, and microwaves – really well-equipped! The room was very clean overall, and there are a lot of green plants in the lobby, which gives it a fresh, airy feel. It's good for your eyes to look at them, too! What really stood out was their excellent service attitude. Everyone smiled while talking to me and was incredibly gentle. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Shanghai, and I highly recommend it to everyone!

The room is small, but fine for a one-night stay. There are sometimes odors in the room, like toilet or cooking fumes. The soundproofing is definitely poor, depending on who lives next door. Since it's located near a side street, residential area, and park, I didn't hear any noise.
