Hotels in Pudong International Airport Area, Shanghai

This is a great hotel. I stayed here before my trip and had a wonderful experience. It's also my first choice when I land at Pudong. A big thank you to Lilian at the front desk, and to the concierge, Mr. Wang Pengfei, and the other gentleman who was on duty with him that day, Mr. Peng...? (Just realized I didn't get a clear shot of his name tag, my apologies... I've attached a picture hoping his fingernail might identify him?) Anyway, once again, every staff member was excellent! The only downside was the low water pressure in the shower.

Chose this hotel because I had an early flight, and it was a real gem! Excellent value for money, very affordable, and it even included airport transfer service. You can arrange the transfer times in advance, and the driver was punctual and the ride was smooth. The room was clean and tidy, with good natural light, a very comfortable bed, and good soundproofing. Check-in at the front desk was efficient, and the staff were friendly and thoughtful. For travelers needing to catch a flight, it saves the hassle of finding a taxi and is very convenient. Highly recommended!

For a hotel near the airport, this one offers pretty good value for money. The price is acceptable, and since it's an InterContinental property, I felt quite secure staying here. The towels in the room were a bit old, but everything else was fine. The facilities and amenities are quite comprehensive, and the staff service is excellent. Especially Snow and Happy, their service attitude was exceptional, and they were very helpful. Fantastic!

Location was excellent. Just a short walk out th Pudong terminal 2 and up the lift to the hotel. Very convenient if flight arrival is late or early morning. Connecting trains from the airport hotel was another good thing. Reception service was 24 hrs and room was clean. Can see planes taking off and landing from room. Very happy and will definitely come back.

Really easy to book on Trip.com. Was able to book a family room that had two beds to accommodate our two adult and three children. Write upon arrival there was an attendant to greet us and help us with our luggage. We were given a welcome drink and immediately assisted with our check-in. There is a Childrens playground right on the first floor where the children could play while we checked in. They very warmly assisted with our luggage handling and escorted us to our room. The facilities are immaculate. The design of the hotel is extremely modern, clean, and beautiful. The room was clean and incredibly spacious. There were beverages in the mini bar and snacks for us to have write upon checking. We also were able to take advantage of the late night snack which was amazing. The buffet breakfast is apple, plenty and fresh. We also utilize the Shuttle surface to the astronomy museum which was great. This helped us facilitate our transport for our group of five easily. We also had an airport shuttle upon departure. That was significant and helping us with our travel arrangements. Overall this hotel above exceeded our expectation. The gym and laundry were fantastic. We would definitely stay here again in the future without any doubt. Highly highly recommend this hotel as it provided everything we needed with world class service and amenities.

I booked this hotel for the convenience, as I was going to land after travelling almost 21 hours straight. While the hotel itself is very nice, the rooms felt updated, and the bathroom had a snazzy green backsplash - our shower did not drain properly. It was a bit disappointing - after travelling for such a long time, the #1 thing you look forward to is a nice hot shower lol. Within minutes it began to flood profusely - like I was standing in one inch of water. 😭 I had to cut my shower short with shampoo still in my hair. We had already ”moved in” to the room, so we went to the front desk and asked for maintenance to come look and see if it was fixable. The gentleman offered for someone to come up right away and estimated about 5 minutes, but 15 minutes later he still wasn't there so we left to go out and explore. We came back to fresh towels, but the shower was not fixed. It still flooded when used. While everything else was nice, I am sad to say I would recommend looking at other places based on our experience.

I had a layover in Shanghai. The hotel was nice and clean. Also, the reception speaks some English. They have free shuttle bus to get from the airport and to the airport (it comes on time once every hour, one doesn't have to worry about being late). I wanted to go to the city centre and walk around in the evening but I was too tired. If you want to go from this hotel to some tourist attractions, I found out that you can take taxi (about 15-20 RMB) till the nearest subway station and it takes about one hour to get to the Bund, for example. I went early to the airport, so, they gave some breakfast, it was really kind of them. The area near the hotel is good too: there is Family Mart supermarket, shops, cafes (if you like Chinese food) and I saw fast food restaurant too. Thank you.

This is a new Holiday Inn Express. The washing machine and dryer are very convenient, and the room size is quite spacious. The food delivery robot is very fast. I didn't try breakfast. The front desk service was average, but everything else was fine. The room had a slight odor, so I had to open the window for ventilation.

I had an early morning flight the next day, and a lovely front desk staff member named Xiaoyu checked me in. She even upgraded me to a suite and, considering I had a heavy 28-inch suitcase that would be difficult to carry upstairs, she offered to keep it at the front desk for me. The room was clean and comfortable. The airport shuttle service was also very convenient, running every hour and taking about 25 minutes to reach the terminal. I initially thought the area around the hotel would be deserted, but it turned out to be quite a lively little street with breakfast places available.
