Beijing Airport Lounges: Locations, Facilities, Opening Hours & Access Guide

By Amber
July 6, 2026

Beijing is not only the capital of China, but with its approximately 21.8 million inhabitants (2025), it is also one of the largest cities in the People's Republic. Both factors make Beijing a particularly popular travel destination.
With Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) and Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX), Beijing offers travellers two options for arrivals and departures. But what about the lounges at Beijing's airports?
To help you keep track of the lounges at Beijing Daxing Airport and Capital International Airport, Trip.com has created a comprehensive guide on this topic for you.
✈️ Lounges at Beijing Capital Airport (PEK)

Beijing International Airport (PEK) is located around 30 km north-east of Beijing's city centre. It now boasts three terminals, and visitors can find lounges at both Beijing Airport Terminal 2 and Terminal 3.
Terminal 1 is primarily used for domestic flights, which is why you won't find a lounge here. It's also important to note that if you're transferring between T2 and T3, you'll need to go through a security check.

🚬 Are there smoking lounges at Beijing Airport?
While both Beijing airports have many differences, there is also one thing they have in common.
There are actually no smoking lounges at Beijing Airport. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside both airports. At Daxing Airport, there are two designated smoking areas outside instead, but at Capital Airport, the rules for smokers are a bit stricter.
Here, too, you can only smoke outside, which isn't possible if you're on a layover. That’s because it’s located outside the transit area. You would effectively have to "enter" China to be able to reach the smoking area.

👟 Comparing lounge access at Beijing airports
As with all international airports, there are a total of three different ways to gain access to the two in Beijing. Depending on the type of lounge, you can get in either:
- With a Priority Pass
- With an airline Business or First Class ticket
- By paying the entry fee directly on site
We have summarised which of these three options apply to which lounges for you in a direct comparison of the two Beijing airports:
Access options | Lounges at Beijing Daxing Airport | Lounges at Beijing International Airport |
Priority Pass | China Eastern, East Pacific Passenger, Chum VIP Lounge, Comfort Zone | BGS Premier, Fortune Wings, Air China First |
Airline Business/First Class Ticket | China Southern, China Eastern | Air China, Cathay Pacific, China Eastern |
Payment on site | East Pacific, Chum VIP Lounge | BGS Premier, Fortune Wings |
However, prices for direct payment vary depending on the lounge and airport. At the time of our search, they ranged between £10 and £45. Since prices must be paid on-site in Chinese CNY, exchange rate fluctuations can also affect the final cost.
🛏️ Hourly hotels at Beijing Airport

At both Beijing airports, you have several hourly lounges/hotels and rest facilities at your disposal. These can specifically include hourly or transit hotels, lounge spaces bookable by the hour, sleeping pods, showers, and similar amenities.
For longer stays in Beijing, you can choose from a wide range of hotels in various price categories, from low-cost hostels to luxurious star-rated hotels. We will explain next which hourly bookable facility both airports have and where you can find them.

My overall stay exceeded expectations; I was very satisfied. The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation and many shops nearby, making it easy to get around and dine. The common areas are clean, quiet, and have a comfortable atmosphere. The room was meticulously cleaned, and facilities like the bathroom and lighting were well-maintained. The bedding was soft, ensuring a good night's sleep. The staff were gentle and friendly, handling check-in and check-out efficiently. They patiently answered questions, providing thoughtful service. The room's soundproofing was effective, so I wasn't disturbed by outside noise. This hotel is suitable for both leisure and business travel, offering good value for money. I had an exceptional stay at this hotel in Beijing. From the moment I arrived, the staff provided warm, professional, and attentive service that made me feel truly welcome. The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed, with comfortable bedding and stunning views of the city.
The hotel’s facilities were outstanding, especially the breakfast selection, which offered a wide variety of delicious local and international dishes. The location was also perfect, making it easy to explore Beijing’s major attractions while still enjoying a peaceful and luxurious environment.
What impressed me the most was the attention to detail and the genuine hospitality shown by every member of the team. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Beijing for business or leisure. It truly delivers a five-star experience in every aspect, and I look forward to staying here again in the future.FromPLN 371

I was very satisfied with the room I booked this time. As soon as I entered, I saw a unicorn plush toy quietly placed on the desk to welcome me, and complimentary fruits and snacks were already prepared. The room was clean, bright, and stylish, and the bedding was very comfortable. The room included a buffet dinner and the option of breakfast delivered to the room, plus all-day complimentary soft drinks and coffee, which was excellent. I've traveled many times, but this was by far the best experience! The hotel staff were warm and professional, the facilities were comprehensive, and it was exceptionally clean. The location is superb; just a short walk from the front entrance to Tiananmen Square, and out the back to Dongjiaomin Lane. There's also a beautiful ginkgo tree in the central courtyard. It's truly a peaceful oasis in a bustling area. They upgraded me to a suite and even gave me a small gift. Most importantly, I urgently needed to use a computer for work, and the front desk personally escorted me to the business center, which was a lifesaver. I'm very grateful! I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Beijing! Thanks again for the hotel's warm hospitality!FromPLN 362

Tian'Anmen Square and Wangfujing Area Beijing|0.86km from city centre
Let's start with the positives: Firstly, the location is excellent. Right outside the entrance is Chongwenmen subway station, making it incredibly convenient to reach all the major attractions. This is definitely the hotel's biggest selling point. Secondly, the staff are very service-oriented. Their customer care, from booking to check-out, was impressive, and the front desk was quick to help guests resolve issues during my stay.
Now for the areas that need improvement: As it's an older hotel, the facilities are quite basic and dated. The lighting is also on the dim side, especially in the elevators. The rooms show signs of age, with some water stains and black mold visible in the bathroom, and dust accumulation in the corners of the wardrobe door tracks. During this stay, the first room (B213) had a strong odor from the bathroom drain, so with the help of the front desk, I moved to a different room (B559). However, the air conditioning in the second room was not very effective; even at its lowest setting, the room temperature stayed around 27 degrees Celsius, making it feel a bit stuffy in the mornings or at midday.
Overall, considering the price, Xinqiao Hotel offers acceptable value for money in the city center.
My suggestions for the hotel are: 1. Replace the lighting with brighter white lights to make the place feel less dated. 2. Increase the frequency of maintenance for drainage pipes and the central air conditioning system. 3. Improve the cleanliness of room corners, particularly in the bathrooms.FromPLN 283

The room was tiny, I mean, really tiny. There was no space for luggage; if you put it on the floor, you couldn't walk. I originally booked a windowless room, and they said they upgraded me to one with a window, but it faced a wall about 50 centimeters away. So, open or closed, it was dark, and if you opened it, all you heard was the buzzing of the AC unit outside, so it was better to keep it shut. The breakfast was good, and the location was decent. I don't understand why hotel ratings are always so high nowadays. It's because after you book, the front desk chases you for a 5-star review. This practice really needs to be addressed.FromPLN 295

I put my parents in a separate room at this hotel and they were upgraded when we checked in, which was very kind of the staff. Their room had a more classic feel compared to ours, but it was clean, quiet and the beds were comfortable.
They appreciated the free mini bar (sodas and water) and the convenient location. Service was consistently good. Breakfast wasn’t anything special and could be better, but it was sufficient. Their AC turned off once in the middle of the night but they fixed it. Overall my parents were happy with the stay and the hotel treated us well.FromPLN 299

The hotel is in the city center, very close to Wangfujing, making it convenient for getting around. The front desk staff were warm and polite, and check-in was efficient and quick. Their thoughtful and attentive service made me feel very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and the ingredients were fresh. The most pleasant surprise was the hotel offering intangible cultural heritage handicraft experiences. The instructor was very professional and detailed in their explanations, allowing me to immerse myself in the charm of traditional craftsmanship and create a unique travel souvenir with my own hands. It's more than just a place to stay; you can truly experience local culture, and the ambiance is fantastic. Overall, the experience was excellent and I highly recommend it. Location is excellent - near to most of the popular attractions and right next to the famous 四季民福. Service was not as great however - some staffs looked like they wish they were somewhere else. Only one staff (a lady with specs) was helpful and tried her best to assist us. Checked out early in the morning and the staff was sleeping at the reception. The apex of Beijing, where the true heart of luxury beats!
— A perfect stay at Kerry Hotel Beijing from July 25th-26th
If Beijing is a flowing feast, then the Guomao CBD is its most dazzling stage, and Kerry Hotel Beijing sits right in the center of it.
During this stay, I truly experienced what it means to “be amidst the bustle, yet privately enjoy luxury.” Arriving on the afternoon of the 25th, from the moment I stepped into the lobby, that grand sense of tranquility isolated me from the noise outside the window. The room was super spacious, and the floor-to-ceiling window offered an unparalleled city skyline view, with the CCTV Headquarters (the 'big trousers') and China Zun tower side-by-side. That feeling of having the imperial capital at your feet instantly made the room rate worthwhile!
I must particularly praise the Kerry Club Lounge on the 18th floor! It was truly the highlight of my entire stay! The service from Ms. Lucy, Clara, and Seanna was simply delightful, making me feel incredibly welcome. The lounge's food, whether afternoon tea or evening happy hour, offered such a vast variety that it was hard to choose. The breakfast at 'Jia Pin Restaurant' on the morning of the 26th absolutely won me over—there were 7 ways to prepare eggs alone, plus fresh grapefruit. These kinds of details are truly a huge plus!
Although I know this hotel is a representative of the 'old money' opened in 1999, the facilities are incredibly well-maintained. That sense of profound grandeur, refined by the passage of time, is a quality new hotels simply cannot replicate. The gym and heated swimming pool are top-tier for hotels in China, with huge spaces and comprehensive equipment. Even just a swim feels like a luxury.
My two-day journey in the heart of luxury left me wanting more. Not only is the location unbeatable, but the service and dining are also exceptional! This is definitely the most 'aristocratic' hotel I've stayed at in Beijing, second to none! ♥️FromPLN 526

There are also many eateries nearby, including Ziguan Garden for breakfast, Xie Restaurant, a Japanese restaurant, hot pot beef, and a charcoal grill place, all of which are delicious. Staying at the Kempinski is mainly for sentimental reasons; I attended a conference here over 15 years ago and had a great impression from my stay. Although it's now an older, established hotel, a vintage Ferrari is still a Ferrari. The service is excellent. The hotel is located right inside the terminal, making it perfect for travelers with early morning flights or late-night arrivals. After 9:00 PM, the front desk even gave out supper vouchers, and having a hot bowl of noodles after a full day of flying was really satisfying.
The soundproofing in the room was decent, but the noise from the hallway, especially when guests checked in late at night with their doors slamming shut, was quite loud and slightly affected my sleep. Earplugs are definitely recommended.

As a star-rated hotel, the sense of luxury is absolutely top-notch, and the experience was fantastic.
The location truly deserves praise; it's incredibly convenient for getting anywhere. You can walk to Metro Lines 5 and 1, making travel completely effortless. Just 50 meters to the left from the hotel entrance, there's a shopping mall with so many shopping and dining options that it's hard to choose. All your shopping and eating needs are easily met~
The room was an even bigger surprise. It was exceptionally spacious, bright, and well-lit. The floor-to-ceiling window offered an excellent view; lying down and admiring the scenery was incredibly comfortable. The facilities were also comprehensive, and the pillows and mattress were perfectly comfortable. I slept like a baby, straight through till morning – the relaxation was first-class.
Breakfast is also worth mentioning. There was a rich variety of both Chinese and Western dishes, with plenty of choices, making every morning meal very satisfying.

We had such a fantastic time bringing our child to the Le Du Port Marriott this trip! My child was participating in a robotics competition, and after adding the hotel's butler, Skyller, on WeChat, they pre-checked us in so my child could rest during lunchtime. We learned it was also my child's birthday that day, and they even prepared balloons and a small cake, which made my child incredibly happy. Any requests were promptly addressed. A huge thumbs up to Skyller! 👍 The room was spacious and clean, and the children's amenities were thoughtfully prepared; the small slippers and toothbrush made my child feel really involved. Breakfast offered a wide variety, and there was even a dedicated children's serving area, making mealtime enjoyable for my little one and stress-free for us. The pool temperature was just right for splashing around and enjoying the hot springs with the kids, plus there's a children's play area. It was a truly special birthday, and the attention to detail in the service was impeccable. I highly recommend this to families looking for a 'one-stop' destination for kids around Beijing.FromPLN 386

Wangjing Area Beijing|10.16km from city centre
I frequently stay at this hotel, but this time was a huge disappointment. The front desk staff who checked me in made the whole experience very unpleasant. First, parking costs money, up to 80 yuan. Second, they still require a deposit – seriously, who still does that these days? Third, you have to go down to pick up your own food deliveries. Fourth, there wasn't enough hot water. And finally, the soundproofing is terrible; you can clearly hear conversations from the next room.FromPLN 430

A very classy hotel with a great environment, clean and hygienic. The service was warm and attentive. I arrived in the morning and was immediately checked in. There's even a super cute robot that delivers food to the room! This is the most satisfying place I've stayed in Beijing so far. The downtown location is excellent, making travel convenient, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. Plus, there was a little surprise when I checked in!FromPLN 268

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was spotlessly clean, well equipped with all necessary amenities, and the bed was incredibly comfortable for a good night’s sleep. The hotel team was polite, attentive and ready to help whenever needed. Convenient location within walking distance to local attractions, shops and public transport. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of tasty food. Great value for money and we highly recommend this hotel to all travellers.FromPLN 136

I'm so glad we picked this apartment for our trip. The room was quiet, the Wi-Fi was fast, and the design was very practical. There are restaurants and a small convenience store right downstairs, making daily life incredibly convenient. The room facilities are brand new, and most importantly, I slept exceptionally well at night. The bedding was clean and comfortable, and there was no noise disturbance. The front desk was very responsive. It has the cleanliness standards of a hotel but also feels cozy and convenient. I'll definitely book this place again next time I'm in Yanqing.FromPLN 73

💡 Tips for using airport lounges in Beijing
To wrap things up, we’ve prepared a few interesting tips for you. If you find yourself at one of the two Beijing airports during a layover, you should keep these points in mind when it comes to lounges:
- Airport: Capital Airport PEK is the hub for Air China (Star Alliance), while Daxing is the hub for China Eastern and Southern (SkyTeam). Which airline you use can therefore affect your access to the lounges.
- Priority Pass: It can be used at both airports. However, it is accepted much more frequently at Beijing Capital Airport (PEK).
- Internet access: Available for free at both airports. However, you will need to register and bear in mind that some websites are not accessible in China.
- Changing terminals at Beijing Capital Airport: If you want to change terminals, you will need to leave the secure area. You should therefore definitely factor in the time required for going through security again.
