I stayed at this hotel around the same time last year. The location is excellent, no doubt about that. I remember my first stay wasn't great because during peak hours, the elevators were completely inadequate; I often had to wait several minutes for one. This year, I stayed again, and the elevator issue has been resolved – the front desk told me they installed new ones. And as always, the service was wonderfully warm. As soon as I got out of the car, staff greeted me and helped with my luggage to the front desk for check-in. The front desk's smiling service also deserves high praise, and even when I ran into staff in the elevator, they would immediately smile and greet me. Overall, while the hotel facilities are dated, their exceptional service really makes up for that shortcoming, making it still a very good experience.

Facilities: The hotel is a bit old-fashioned, with decor leaning towards a 2010s style. The walls aren't well-maintained, showing noticeable water stains and discoloration. Cleanliness: Acceptable. I didn't find any major hygiene issues. Environment: The air circulation in the room was poor. Windows could be opened, but only slightly, though it wasn't stifling. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the city center and close to attractions like Wenshu Monastery, Qingyang Palace, and Chunxi Road. Service: I appreciate that they upgraded my room when I checked in. There were welcome fruits and snacks, but the drinks in the minibar and tea bags were all chargeable. The Chinese restaurant offers Sichuan and Cantonese cuisine, which was average in taste but not expensive. Overall, there wasn't much in terms of service, but considering the low price, it's not fair to compare it to the service standards of high-end five-star chains. Overall, I was quite satisfied.

An Unforgettable Stay ! True 5-Star Experience at The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu Our last two nights in Chengdu were truly the highlight of our trip !An experience that perfectly lived up to its Forbes 5-star reputation. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless. The doorman greeted us warmly, remembered my surname, and personally delivered our luggage to our room. But what truly made our stay exceptional was the outstanding service from Meria, the guest relations manager. She was like our personal concierge , helping to deliver my parcels from the concierge to our room, assisting us with getting prescription medicine late at mid of night, and even sending thoughtful gifts like fresh fruit and panda bookmarks. Every detail reflected genuine care and professionalism. Staying here with my parents was an absolute joy , the comfort, warmth, and attentiveness made us feel completely at home. I can confidently say that The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu is the pinnacle of all the hotels I’ve stayed in. Thank you, Meria, and the entire Ritz-Carlton team, for making our family trip to Chengdu such a memorable one. ❤️

During the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, our whole family stayed at The St. Regis Chengdu. The Deluxe Twin Room we booked was spacious and bright, with comfortable and cozy bedding. The shower also featured a sitting bath, which was very convenient for the elderly. For the Mid-Autumn Festival, the hotel thoughtfully provided complimentary mooncakes and fruit. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet spot but still conveniently close to popular areas like Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li commercial districts, Daci Temple, and the Chengdu Museum. We will definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit to Chengdu.

For my trip to Chengdu from late October to early November, I chose Anyi Xinliang Hotel for the third time. It has truly become my 'second home' in this city. The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic – close to the subway, making transportation super convenient. It makes getting around effortless and efficient. What truly impresses me, though, is the homelike comfort it offers. The cleanliness is reassuring, and it's both safe and quiet, completely addressing all my worries about accommodation while traveling. The reception and staff's attitude is incredibly warm; every detail feels thoughtful and comforting. Three stays, three times satisfied. This excellent hotel definitely deserves a five-star recommendation!

Facilities: Well, it's an old hotel, so the facilities definitely can't compare to those opened in recent years. However, you can tell that in its prime, it was considered a luxury hotel. Everything is well-equipped, and they even have hotel robots, which is very convenient. Hygiene: As a hotel, cleanliness is fundamental. My personal habit is to check the hygiene situation everywhere upon entering. I must say, big hotels are reliable; everything was very clean. The only thing was a small hole I noticed in the bedsheet, probably from being washed too many times or worn out. I hope the hotel can pay a little more attention to checking these things. Environment: The hotel's surroundings are not a bustling area. Although it's next to a road, it's relatively quiet. The only inconvenience is that there are no shops nearby the hotel, or maybe I just didn't see them. Service: The front desk lady was warm and attentive. She reminded me of the breakfast location and other important information. After checking out, the hotel even called to follow up on my stay and any issues. The window in my room was slightly warped and wouldn't close completely. I had originally planned to mention it in a review, but after telling them during the follow-up call, the hotel said they would immediately contact the engineering department to inspect and resolve the issue. This professional work ethic and responsible attitude alone deserve a five-star rating. Overall: The hotel has been open for a long time, so the overall experience might not be as good as a new hotel. However, for less than 300 (RMB) with breakfast included, I am very satisfied. A very good stay experience!

The window installation had some flaws, allowing outside air to seep into the room. After I reported it to the front desk, a staff member quickly and effectively used a towel to seal it off. Their problem-solving skills were excellent. However, the elevator is ancient, incredibly slow, and has been continuously malfunctioning for a long time. It's a real hassle for both delivery drivers and guests, especially if you're on a high floor – that's a true tragedy.

Hejiang Pavilion/Jiuyan Bridge Nearby Area Chengdu|2.5km from city centre
The location is good, but the hygiene is just okay, and the facilities are quite old. The funniest part was the service. I called for water, and it didn't arrive for an hour. I had to go to the front desk myself to get it. The front desk lady apologized very quickly, though. It felt like the front desk and housekeeping were completely separate departments with no communication. During check-in, they sweet-talked me into signing up for a membership by promising a fruit platter – specifically a fruit platter. A day passed, and it never arrived. After multiple reminders, the front desk lady maintained her apologetic attitude, promising to arrange it immediately, but nothing came of it. On the second evening of my stay, the housekeeping auntie brought me an orange, a pear, and an apple, saying that a pomegranate that was already on the table yesterday was the 'fruit platter'... Okay, I've had fruit platters before, and I even accidentally saw what kind of fruit platter they delivered to the room next door – at least it was cut fruit, right? I immediately told her that the front desk promised a fruit platter, not a few whole fruits, and returned them. The auntie gave an awkward smile and said, 'It's fine, just take it and eat it.' Do I look like I'm starving for fruit? At this point, I was getting angry. I felt like I'd been conned. A single pomegranate is a fruit platter? I called again, and the front desk lady, as usual, apologized and promised that since there was no fresh fruit today (what was the housekeeping auntie bringing me then?), they would arrange a fruit platter first thing tomorrow morning. I repeatedly confirmed with her if the 'fruit platter' was what I understood it to be and received an affirmative answer. Fine, I'd wait... The next day, I was already preparing to check out when it finally arrived. I gave up. It was just one banana more than the previous collection. I admit defeat. It's not that I absolutely needed to eat their fruit platter, but I really dislike feeling like I've been fooled, especially when they tell me a single pomegranate is a 'fruit platter'... (See attached photo) In the end, I didn't eat any of it. I just felt that the service was absolutely terrible.

The room was very clean and well-equipped, with both regular and plush slippers provided. The only minor issue was the shower faucet, which took a little getting used to at first. The mattress, duvet, and pillows were all clean and comfortable. The breakfast was well-balanced and nutritious, with a variety of freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices available daily – I particularly loved the carrot and ginger juice. The location is convenient for transportation, and it's easy to hail a taxi. I only found out on the second night that there's also a direct shuttle service to major attractions in Chengdu; it would have been great if there was a card in the room providing this information.

Pros: Wifi was really good here with super fast connection as compared to some other hotels I have been in China. Breakfast is decent. Pool looks nice. Location is good and easy to get a taxi. Overall pretty clean. Nice to have washing machine in the room. Robot for food deliveries. Cons: We did not seem to be able to adjust the aircon temperature to our desired level and had to resort to opening the curtains and windows fully at times. Chunxi Road Commercial Area Chengdu|1.11km from city centre
The room offered a great view, especially of the IFS panda, and the hotel itself is a classic brand with an elegant, if somewhat old-fashioned, design. However, my overall rating isn't very high... First, there's the abundance of mirrors in the room, which many might find off-putting. While it's a design feature, I felt it was a bit arrogant and disregarded guest preferences. Then there's the actual living experience. The three-way separation of the washroom and bathroom wasn't very convenient, especially the bathroom sink. The numerous cubbies made it difficult to access items, and the hairdryer was incredibly hard to use! The minibar area also felt poorly designed; the kettle had to be moved to the bathroom for use (and the water glasses had noticeable water stains). The user flow definitely needs to be more ergonomic. Additionally, the luggage rack was too narrow, forcing me to spread my large suitcase on the floor, taking up space. Overall, the room had many usability issues, making it quite uncomfortable. 😂 Lastly, the guest service... When I called the day before check-in to discuss my room preferences, the person immediately addressed me as 'sir.' I corrected them, thinking it was fine since my name can sound masculine. But during the post-checkout follow-up call, they again addressed me as 'sir.' I was speechless. After I corrected them again, they wouldn't acknowledge I was a woman, said they had misdialed, and hung up... I mean, come on, let's not be so quick to jump to conclusions, please. In short, the stay was mediocre. I won't be considering the Grand Hyatt for my next trip to Chengdu.

The hotel is conveniently located next to Wanhua Train Station and just a short walk from Longshan Temple Metro Station. There are plenty of eateries in the surrounding neighborhood, making it easy to find meals nearby. Like many hotels in Taiwan, early check-in is not allowed, and all guests can only check in after 3 p.m. Check-in is done through a self-service machine, which feels somewhat impersonal for a hotel at this price point. The room is clean and modern, with a comfortable bed. However, it doesn’t provide complimentary bottled water; you’ll need to use the water dispenser next to the elevator. The gym is very small, equipped with just treadmills, and there’s also a small pool with a lifeguard on duty. Remember to bring a swimming cap if you plan to use the pool. There's also a play area for children which I didn't see anyone ever use.

A big thank you to the helpful Ctrip agent who went out of her way to book me the same room as my previous stay. That last visit was particularly special as we celebrated my son's acceptance into his master's program and a post-pandemic birthday here. This time, the hotel's facilities and service were as consistently excellent as before. Despite the slightly hazy view due to unfavorable weather, this is the only place that offers such a superb vantage point, with iconic Taipei landmarks like Xiaonanmen, the Presidential Office Building, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, and Taipei 101 all visible. It was a truly enjoyable trip to Taipei, and we look forward to returning next year.

The hotel room is very comfortable, clean, and spacious, booked at a discounted price from Trip.com. Level one concierge Nico was very friendly and helpful when I went downstairs to collect my midnight supper delivery. Special thanks to housekeeper Ricky. Hotel is in the best location, nice view of Taipei 101 at level 7 swimming pool area. Metro is just across the road past some shops. There are street performers on the walkway behind the hotel in the evening from 6 to 10pm.

Overall, our experience was quite positive regarding cleanliness, location, and amenities. We spent 3 nights on the 31st floor. However, I was disappointed with the hair dryer; it was outdated and did not function well, which detracted from an otherwise enjoyable stay.
