So happy to be back at Zhuhai Chimelong again! Even after all these years, the room is still clean and bright. The complimentary mini-bar and water station are a nice touch. The dolphins in the dolphin pool are so lively and adorable, actively interacting with guests. Watching the flamingos on Flamingo Island is also incredibly beautiful.
Beyond the classic ocean-themed lobby, check-in and check-out were seamless with no waiting. The pool and water world offer a wide variety of options and are open all day. The gym equipment is new, and there's even a self-service laundry room. With diverse dining choices like evening tea, afternoon tea, and buffets, plus shuttle buses and boat tours, everything from dining to accommodation and transportation is incredibly convenient.
Besides the amusement rides, we absolutely loved the marine animals at the Ocean Kingdom. The newly added Spaceship Park is also fantastic. Since it wasn't the weekend, we couldn't take the little one swimming, but they had a great time playing at the nearby kids' club for a while. The night before, we booked the Chimelong shuttle, and the driver the next day was very responsible, helping us with our luggage and dropping us off right at the Penguin Hotel entrance. After my kids finished their final exams, I fulfilled my promise to bring the whole family to Starryland Campsite Resort next to Zhuhai Airport for a three-day stay, specifically for them to relax and de-stress. The entire experience exceeded our expectations, with food, accommodation, and entertainment all-in-one, completely eliminating the need for any planning.
There's a wide variety of accommodation options, with RVs and cabins offering a wonderful ambiance. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the facilities were comprehensive; the kids were thrilled as soon as they walked in. The resort's dining options are excellent, with a buffet restaurant and a BBQ market offering everything you could want. The food was kid-friendly and reasonably priced, so we didn't have to go out for any of our three meals.
The core attraction, Starryland Powerless Park, was a source of pure joy for the kids. They played non-stop on the deep-sea maze, high-altitude climbing, pedal go-karts, and at the water park. The ticket allows multiple entries, so when they got tired, they could go back to the room to rest and then return to play more. In the evening, there was a bubble show, and at night, there were iron-flower performances and bonfire shows, creating an amazing atmosphere.
The resort environment is serene, with photo-op spots everywhere. The electric shuttle made getting around convenient, and the staff were warm and attentive. Our three-day trip was relaxed and enjoyable. The kids completely released their exam stress and played so much every day that they didn't want to go back to their rooms. 1. **Excellent Location:** It's incredibly close to the beach. Downstairs, there are public buses to all the attractions, as well as tour buses.
2. **Great Convenience:** Staying here felt very convenient. They provided a full range of items, such as free rental of sand-digging tools, tape for sending packages, nail clippers, plastic slippers, and chargers – truly everything you could need.
However, there were also two significant negatives:
1. **Cigarette Smoke in the Room:** When trying to sleep, there was a persistent smell of cigarette smoke around the bed. Of course, this isn't the hotel's fault directly, but rather due to inconsiderate guests smoking in the room. The smoke had absorbed into the velvet headboard and carpet. This really highlights the need for the hotel to implement stricter management and clearly enforce a no-smoking policy in the rooms.

【Hygiene】The room offers a pleasant mountain view from the window, and overall cleanliness is good. However, the balcony door was locked and couldn't be opened. Given how quickly coastal buildings in Guangdong corrode and age, a locked balcony door is understandable. But the room felt a bit stuffy. I'm sensitive to smells, and I detected a slight musty odor mixed with a hint of smoke. Air quality control needs improvement.
【Service】Both the hotel and park services were outstanding. Every staff member we encountered was well-trained and service-oriented, anticipating our needs before we even thought of them. They even provided infant swimming caps at the pool, which was incredibly thoughtful.
【Park】We chose to visit the Spaceship Theme Park this summer, which was perfect for avoiding sun exposure and rain. It made traveling with two kids completely stress-free. The NPCs were fantastic; both my 'E' (extroverted) and 'I' (introverted) children interacted happily. There were suitable rides for both the older and younger kids. Since the rides across different theme parks are pretty similar, there's no need to feel pressured to try them all. Seeing the manatees, hippos, finless porpoises, and orcas had the kids exclaiming 'wow, wow, wow!' Sitting in the orca exhibit, listening to light music, and watching the orcas swim peacefully was truly therapeutic. However, the park grounds are massive and incredibly tiring—we averaged over 20,000 steps a day. Perhaps consider installing some flat escalators? 😂
The staff at the hotel lobby, coral, and orca photo spots were very patient and didn't pressure us into any purchases. They were also very accommodating. I usually don't like official park photos, but I made an exception at the Spaceship Theme Park, haha.
Here are some tips for photography enthusiasts: The best time to take photos is during the 12 PM and 4 PM Orca Overlord shows when the orcas are active and photogenic. You can watch one show, then skip the second one to avoid the crowds and take pictures when it's less busy. The '网红洞洞' (influencer cave) spot in the coral area has a great ambiance for solo shots, while the wider spot is perfect for group photos. Morning and midday offer the best light for photos, with clearer water, and you can even capture the Tyndall effect.
Overall, it was a very satisfying trip and well worth a five-star review! Both adults and children can find joy at Chimelong. It's definitely worth it and a no-brainer for families with kids, just like their ubiquitous theme song says: '就是要宠你' (we just want to spoil you) 😂. 1) The hotel lobby with popcorn is a big hit with kids, and there are also red date tea and mini cakes. The ball pit in the lobby is great for children to play in.

3) The laundry and drying service is highly recommended. Staff track your clothes and deliver them back to your room once dried, which is especially convenient for families with kids who might get their clothes dirty and can't wash them immediately.
4) All the staff are very polite, have excellent service attitudes, are patient, and always smiling.

The location is OK, but there is a bit of traffic jam due to the recent road construction. The parking lot is large, the hotel is easy to find, and the decoration is also good. I stayed on the 19th floor. The air circulation was a bit stuffy, but it was very quiet. The room was OK, the bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning was very cool. The only drawback was that the makeup mirror was broken and could not be supported. It was very convenient to leave the car in the hotel and take a taxi to go out. This was my first stay at an Orange Crystal Hotel, and the decor was really impressive. The front desk staff proactively upgraded my room type during check-in. The location is incredibly convenient, very close to Gongbei Port, Qingmao Port, and the high-speed rail station. The surrounding area is lively, with a KFC downstairs and a delicious rice noodle roll shop nearby. Despite the bustling surroundings, my room was quiet. The hotel's location is really convenient for getting to shopping malls and various border crossings. While the hotel has been around for a while, and some of the hardware isn't as spick and span as a brand new property, the quality of the bedding and room furnishings is still very good. The St. Regis butler service also didn't disappoint. A special shout-out to butler Claire and front desk agent Adara! Before arrival, butler Claire proactively called to confirm my arrival time, kindly reminded me about free parking for drivers, and to register my license plate upon arrival. Her communication was gentle and clear. After check-out, Claire also called to follow up, asking if I was satisfied with the room and service, and proactively inquired if any needs were unmet. I rarely write reviews, and I'm not a big fan of it, but this hotel truly deserves an exception.
The hotel was recently renovated, so it's bright and clean overall, making a great first impression. While the room wasn't huge, it was perfectly spacious for our family of four. We even got upgraded to a sea view room. The bathroom had excellent natural light, and the wet/dry separation was well-done, making the space feel more generous than expected. My only minor suggestion would be to add disposable toilet seat covers for a perfect touch.
The disposable slippers provided were arguably the most comfortable I've ever experienced in a hotel – thick and with a wonderfully soft, 'stepping-on-clouds' feel, which was a real plus.
I especially want to mention the birthday decorations, the cake arrangement, and the longevity noodles the hotel specially prepared for us during breakfast. These thoughtful details truly showed their warmth and attentiveness.
In terms of service, from the moment we got out of the car, a doorman was there to open the door for us, and all staff members greeted us proactively. When we asked for directions, a hotel staff member even walked us to our destination, which was incredibly considerate. The kids' club had dedicated supervision, allowing adults to relax worry-free, and the spa experience was also excellent.

This time I came to Macau with friends. The hotel is very close to Gongbei Port, about a ten-minute taxi ride. The front desk service was gentle and considerate, which made me feel particularly comfortable.
