Practical information:

  • Your travel time will depend on how far away from the Macau starting point to Zhuhai destination you go. On average, travel will take around 40 to 60 minutes. Normally, border passage will take some 20 minutes.

The location is perfect! You just cross a pedestrian bridge and you're at Zhuhai Station. The hotel is surrounded by all sorts of amenities, and it's very close to Gongbei Port. The room decor is really nice and has a premium feel; it would be even better if the floors were a bit cleaner. Breakfast was below average, I'd give the variety and quality a 6 out of 10.

Hyatt Regency Zhuhai Hengqin The animal-themed family room boasts a strong thematic atmosphere and a very spacious layout. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a stunning panoramic view of the entire Hengqin area. The cute, playful decorations in the room are a hit with kids, who particularly loved the giant panda plushie provided for them to cuddle with while sleeping. All plushies are thoroughly disinfected and sealed, ensuring cleanliness and peace of mind. The bathroom features a dry/wet separation, with the toilet in a private, separate space, and the shower and bathtub also designed separately. The sink is extra large, and the hotel provides complimentary children's amenities. All drinks in the mini-fridge are free, which is a thoughtful touch. The hotel's buffet breakfast offers a wide variety of choices. There are special items like freshly squeezed juices, smoothies, and milk with cereals, which are rarely seen in many standard hotel breakfasts, and the quality is excellent. The hotel has an outdoor pool, an indoor pool, and a 24-hour gym. Since it was raining that morning, the outdoor pool was closed, so we enjoyed the indoor pool. The indoor pool also has a small children's play area with ball pits, where kids can play to their heart's content. Friendly reminder: In mainland China, swimming caps are mandatory for pools. It's advisable to bring your own swim float, as renting one from the hotel costs over thirty yuan, which isn't very cost-effective. The only minor drawback is that the ventilation in the bathroom isn't great. Also, the room door is quite heavy, so young children can't open it themselves to get into the bathroom and need an adult to accompany them.

What a fantastic experience! This hotel is perfect for families, offering both a kids' paradise and a stunning sea view. Choosing Hengqin Bay for our family trip was absolutely the right decision! The lobby is grand and impressive, but the real showstopper is the vibrant red glass coral sculpture 🪸. It's so ocean-themed that my child was instantly captivated and immersed in the vacation spirit. We booked a sea-view room, which was not only spacious but also impeccably clean. The balcony directly overlooks the ocean 🌊, perfect for watching the sunrise and falling asleep to the sound of the waves at night. The bathroom was well-equipped for a relaxing soak, and the complimentary bath salts were a thoughtful touch after a day of fun 🛁. The hotel facilities are incredibly comprehensive: the Waterpark's slides and wave pool were a huge hit, and the Flamingo Garden and Dolphin Pool were also very entertaining. Plus, there's a beach and a kids' club. You could easily spend a whole day just enjoying the hotel, even without visiting the main theme park 🐬. There's even a daily boat shuttle to the park's pier, which adds a special touch. For dining, the hotel offers various options. We tried the buffet, and it was incredibly diverse, with the dessert and fruit sections being particularly popular 🍰. What's more, there were interactive mascots in the restaurant, making for not just a satisfying meal but also lots of lovely photo opportunities 📷. Overall, I give this a five-star recommendation! The service, environment, transportation, dining, and child-friendliness are all outstanding! If you're planning a trip to Zhuhai's Chimelong, this hotel is definitely worth staying at for two nights or more!

Our room was great, very spacious, and they even upgraded us to a sea-view suite for free, which offered fantastic views of the ocean. The hotel's kids' area is lively and fun, and the reading area has a great selection of books. We also enjoyed the ocean thermal therapy and the wonderful seaside hot springs. Traveling with two kids for the May Day holiday, we stayed for two nights and the hotel upgraded us to a suite. The living room and bedroom were incredibly spacious, and the bathroom had both a shower and a bathtub, all very clean. Both the front desk staff and the housekeeping aunties were incredibly friendly and patient, even with so many guests. There's an outdoor pool, and indoors there's a kids' play area and a billiards room, which the children absolutely loved. We stayed at this hotel last year during the Dragon Boat Festival too, and chose it again for our trip to Zhuhai this May Day. We're very satisfied! Oh, and the front desk even gave us a thoughtful welcome gift upon check-in: a small toy for the kids and some cookies – so considerate!

This hotel had two standout positives: 1. **Excellent Location:** It's incredibly close to the beach. Downstairs, there are public buses to all the attractions, as well as tour buses. 2. **Great Convenience:** Staying here felt very convenient. They provided a full range of items, such as free rental of sand-digging tools, tape for sending packages, nail clippers, plastic slippers, and chargers – truly everything you could need. However, there were also two significant negatives: 1. **Cigarette Smoke in the Room:** When trying to sleep, there was a persistent smell of cigarette smoke around the bed. Of course, this isn't the hotel's fault directly, but rather due to inconsiderate guests smoking in the room. The smoke had absorbed into the velvet headboard and carpet. This really highlights the need for the hotel to implement stricter management and clearly enforce a no-smoking policy in the rooms. 2. **Poor Soundproofing:** Late at night, I could constantly hear loud shouting, laughing, and yelling from the neighboring room. Again, this was due to encountering rude guests.

The Zhuhai InterContinental definitely lives up to its reputation. The hotel boasts modern and elegant decor, and the service quality is excellent (at least among IHG hotels in Zhuhai), with prompt responses. The first room I was given had a strong smoke smell. After I reported it to the front desk, they upgraded me to an executive room, which was a very appropriate solution. However, I still hope this kind of situation can be avoided as much as possible in the future. Both the breakfast and in-room dining are of high quality. The breakfast also features an exclusive area for Platinum and Diamond members, which is very quiet – a big plus. Ms. Bella from Guest Relations was incredibly friendly and handled unexpected situations perfectly. Many thanks to her.

Overall, I was satisfied with my stay this time. ⚠️Here are the issues I encountered during my stay, as well as several recurring problems reported by other guests, which I hope your management team will take seriously and follow up on. (I) Thank you Thank you for the small bottle of red wine from the hotel. I didn't open it and left it in the room, but I appreciate the gesture. Thank you! The lady with glasses who checked me in at the front desk was professional and polite; the male manager in the lobby was enthusiastic and courteous; and the female manager in the Executive Lounge was beautiful. The security and concierge staff at the hotel entrance were even more well-mannered and principled! The breakfast reception service was excellent, ⚠️they were kind to everyone and ⚠️not snobbish! I really appreciate this! Thank you! And thank you to the Director of Housekeeping for her care last time. You can tell she's not superficial; I admire her more. ——————- Key points: (II) ⚠️ The problems I encountered and those frequently reported by other guests are as follows: 1. Air conditioning cooling issue. I noticed that you changed the lowest adjustable temperature on the green floors from 20 degrees Celsius to 18 degrees Celsius. However, I still see multiple guests mentioning in their hotel reviews that the air conditioning isn't cooling properly. I hope you can conduct a comprehensive inspection of all guest rooms to prepare for the upcoming hot summer. ⚠️Because I personally don't like blowing cold air, I didn't feel it wasn't cooling, but there is a problem with the air conditioning in the guest rooms: For example, when I stay at other hotels, even at 25 or 26 degrees, there's still cool air blowing out, which feels just right to me. I set it to 26 degrees at home and it's not hot. However, at your hotel, I have to set it to 19 degrees and on medium or highest fan speed to feel any cool air. But then after a while, it feels a bit cold! If I turn it up to 20 or 21 degrees, it gets very hot again, with almost no cool air. If I set it to 22 or 23 degrees, it's even worse; the air conditioner doesn't even start. But other hotels are not like this! I wonder if there's a problem with the air conditioning sensor in your guest rooms? The current situation is that it's either too cold or too hot; there's no way to set it to an intermediate temperature! And I believe the lowest temperature is already sufficient (I personally don't like cold air), but some guests feel it's not cold enough... So what exactly is going on with the air conditioning, you need to investigate and deal with it. This is definitely not an individual difference; the air conditioning has issues! 2. Regarding the previous welcome fruit (including cookies, mochi, etc...) It was placed on a special food paper instead of a plate, exposed to the air without a cover, in the guest room. Multiple guests, including myself, previously reported feeling it was unhygienic. Some guests even saw the welcome food placed like this upon returning to their room and didn't dare to eat it, leading to waste. I don't know if you've made any improvements. This time, I proactively noted that I didn't need the welcome fruit to avoid waste (as fruit is too 'cooling' for me), so I'm unaware of subsequent improvements. 3. Please value your guests' feedback! Rectify your work style regarding guest relations. For example, recently I saw guests mentioning that the air conditioning isn't cooling; the gym changing room is dirty and smelly; the toothpaste is a cheap brand... (I shared similar experiences with them, so it's not them being fussy, nor am I being difficult; everyone's feelings are the same). However, your response to reviews is always a standardized template! I understand that some issues are indeed inconvenient to address specifically. But using templated responses for service issues that fall short of standards makes your work style seem very problematic. For example, previously, a guest gave you a low rating and a negative review, but you still said thank you for such a high rating... This is completely random and inappropriate! Imagine you were that guest and received such a reply from the hotel. How would you feel? When we choose hotels, we also like to read guest reviews first, in addition to how the hotel responds and handles issues. This makes it seem like there are management problems at the hotel... and that you don't value the guest experience! Over time, you will lose guests. There was a minor hygiene issue during this stay: a long strand of female hair in the room, and no amenities kit (cotton swabs, cotton pads) in the small drawer in the bathroom. But overall, it was still good! Thank you! Thank you for your warm hospitality this time! I apologize for any trouble I caused! I wish you a prosperous business and good health to everyone! I love this city of Zhuhai, I love the Renaissance hotel that harmonizes water and wood, and I love this relatively civilized mountain and sea city where most vehicles actively stop and yield to pedestrians at crosswalks! And thank you, Renaissance Zhuhai, for providing such an extraordinary experience to your guests. Everyone is contributing to the civilized progress of this city! Thank you. We usually choose Mercure hotels whenever we travel around China because the brand is generally reliable, comfortable, and gives us peace of mind during our trips. The staff at this hotel were polite and genuinely tried to help, which we truly appreciated. The location was also convenient and enjoyable. However, compared to other Mercure properties we stayed at in different cities, this branch feels like it needs renovation and better maintenance to keep up with the brand standard. The biggest issue during our stay was the air conditioning, which had a very unpleasant smell that made it difficult for us to sleep comfortably at night. We still appreciate the service from the team and hope the hotel can improve these areas in the future, because the Mercure brand is one we normally trust and enjoy staying with.

I booked this Lavande Hotel for the Zhuhai Half Marathon. Although it's not directly on the beach, it's very close to the seaside and the Sun and Moon Shell (referring to the Zhuhai Ocean Park), just a few minutes' walk away. The surrounding area is convenient, with plenty of restaurants and Yangming Square to explore. The room itself was very clean, the bed was soft and comfortable, and check-in and check-out were very convenient.

The location is off the main road so it's quieter than the hotels that are located by the main road. Hotel is old and the air conditioning is very cold. Hot water is not very powerful but adequate. Has a few food options beside the hotel which is very convenient and quite tasty. A 5 minute walk will take you to a big mall across the other side of the busy 8 lane road which has much more food options.

For this trip, I chose this Atour Hotel. The staff were very welcoming and even helped upgrade my room, which was a great experience. The room itself was very spacious and came with a mini-bar stocked with complimentary drinks, which was a nice touch. The shower in the bathroom was really comfortable, unlike those in other hotels. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and it definitely deserves a five-star rating!

The lady at check-in was very patient and kind. My room had a direct view of the Gongbei Port, and the soundproofing was decent – it wasn't too noisy, considering it's a high-traffic area. They even provided earplugs, which was a thoughtful touch. It's really close to Gongbei Port, just a short walk, so I could sleep in a bit longer, haha. The room itself was generally clean and comfortable. It did feel a little stuffy when I first walked in, but it cleared up after I turned on the air conditioning. The facilities were all well-equipped! Overall, a good experience~

I chose this hotel when I was in Macau with my friends. It is very close to Gongbei Port, very convenient, and the environment is very good. It is a duplex apartment style, and the sanitation is very clean. The service of the beautiful sister at the front desk is also very good. Next time I come to Zhuhai, I will choose this hotel again

the lobby is quite cramped and a bit disappointing. their christmas tree was the ugliest i’d ever seen. room is very fancy and looked very nice, but the bathroom was a bit mindboggling with stained mirrors and a mat that looked so worn that i really didn’t want to touch it. the body wash was amongst the worst things i’d ever smelled. however, staff were helpful and the location is good. the price is pretty affordable for a st regis hotel, so i’m still feeling rather conflicted regarding this stay.

Location is good, 10 minutes bike from the Zhuhai railway station / Gongbei ( Macau ) checkpoint . And it is a cheap and nice hotel with a pool. Room was big and clean. It is a private bathroom room, with a normal wall ( not a glass wall ). Service was nice, they speak English and they even allowed me to check in earlier.

This is the second time we stayed in this hotel. Front desk staff are very helpful and polite. Location is convenient. Bathroom is a bit small and a bit puzzled why no face towel supply in this brand hotel Hampton by Hilton! Since it’s a Hilton brand hotel, the room price includes breakfast for 2 is very reasonable and worth the money.

Kingward International Hotel Zhuhai – A Fantastic Stay with Stunning Views! 🌊✨ Just checked out after a wonderful stay at the Kingward International Hotel! From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional. I got there early (around 10 am), and the incredibly kind staff arranged for an early check-in without any hassle – a true lifesaver after traveling! 🥰 A special shout-out to the bellboy who not only brought my luggage up to the room with a smile but also thoughtfully let me know that while the team’s English is limited, they are super proactive in using translation apps. This made every interaction smooth and easy! 💬📱 Overall, despite the language barrier, the experience was absolutely fantastic! The staff’s genuine willingness to help and their warm attitude truly shine through. The room itself was perfect! 🏖️ A gorgeous, clean sea view that was so relaxing to wake up to, and a spacious bathtub to unwind in after a day of exploring Zhuhai.
