This was a beautiful hotel with an amazing spa beautiful landscaping, and very friendly staff. The food was good and we were kindly upgraded to a gorgeous room with stunning views.
All in all, amazing value for money.
Clean and tidy hotel. Friendly staff. We went for a special occassion but we just did not feel special at all no effort at all.
They can not say we did not tell them it was on the booking form, I was asked when I phoned to book a reservation in the restaurant and again when we checked in. Came away feeling very flat.
Food was well presented and tasted good. Had a lovely bottle of wine.
The hotel itself was a great experience and we did enjoy the novelty of staying in the prison which I would recommend to anyone.
Upon arrival we were welcome by the team but very basic information was given, leading to us missing a tour of the hotel which we were told was included in the price. The manager then offered for one of the team to do a later tour for just the two of us which was cut short, very awkward and definitely not worth the money paid for. If we had been advised of the tour with the bigger group when checking in we may have had a better experience.
We decided to book dinner at the chapel to experience it as much as we could but dinner was poor. We had to wait for our table, 3 different people asked for our name before we sat down and then again a fourth person checked once we were sat down. With minimal staff on the service was poor to say the least and The burger ordered was pretty much raw, I did not finish it. Once we had finished no one came to ask if we wanted anything else or to look at a dessert menu. We left the restaurant with no one even there working! Not sure where the team had disappeared to.
Breakfast was good and would recommend it.
Great location and super efficient and friendly service. Breakfast was exceptional. Spa, gym and swimming pool all great and the grounds are well kept. Good parking facilities.
Room was a little on the small side and some parts of the room and landings were a little scruffy.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Very beautiful castle, great views, lots of huge succulents in the garden, took lots of photos.
The apartment we booked was average, the two bedrooms were downstairs, small and close together, the bathroom was not big, upstairs was the living room and kitchen, there was also a washing machine, we only stayed one night and didn't use it
The breakfast was simple
The G7 meeting was held here

GGuest UserThe Penventon Park Hotel in Redruth truly stands out as an exceptional choice. Every single staff member is incredibly kind and friendly, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. It's undoubtedly one of the best options in the area, especially for families with children, who also have a delightful time during their stay. The hotel offers a range of amenities, including a swimming pool, bar, restaurant, and convenient car park, making it a great choice for those driving. Additionally, it's only about a 20-minute drive to Hayle Bay and around 25 minutes to St. Michael's Mount, making it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area. The rooms are impeccably clean and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I highly recommend The Penventon Park Hotel for anyone visiting the area.
RR C RichardsDidn’t expect to be staying in a block of rooms which were pretty soulless. Wanted to go into the Hotel bar for a drink but because we didn’t have a meal booked, as wanted to go out to Portreath by the sea for food, we weren’t allowed in the bar for a drink from 6pm, it was cordoned off! so I have no idea what the hotel bar is like. So I feel for the money we paid we didn’t actually get to use any of the hotel. All we wanted was a drink in the bar with the view.
I won’t be rushing back.

JJoyalThe place was good to camp. The toilets were shared, so it was not clean. There were used tissues inside the bathroom all the time.
The room was good but it was not properly clean.
The room amenities like the heated mattress and the heater was good. Others like the hair dryer were covered in dust like it was not used or cleaned in weeks.
AAndrew LeeA clean, well staffed and inviting hotel which is currently going through an upgrade. The rooms have character and the hotel has kept a lot of tradition in it's feel. The restaurant breakfast was efficient, good choice, with friendly staff. The location is amazing, very close to town, beach and wonderful views. We will be returning.

三三少爷的荐Five-star recommendation, super location, invincible sea view, breakfast included, mainly the scenery is very good, just next to the train station, there is a small road into the restaurant, the bar and the bar are sea views, there is a large terrace outside, sitting can drink Afternoon tea, sit at the bar and drink at night, watching the seascape outside. The room I booked was small, but it was not bad. It also provided slippers and bathrobes, bath towels, etc. It was very convenient to go down to the beach for a few minutes. It was the most recommended hotel next to the beach, and it was relatively new.
