Our stay in the Coast Suite was great! It had two separate rooms, which was perfect for our group as we had different schedules and didn't disturb each other. We shared a bathroom. The hotel facilities were complete, and toiletries were promptly replenished. We noticed the toilet was leaking after checking in, and maintenance sent someone to fix it right away. The Indian housekeeping staff was polite and enthusiastic, and the front desk receptionists were attentive and responsible.

This hotel boasts an excellent location right in the heart of George Town. It's directly across from the bus terminal and offers easy walking access to the Seven Streets Market (Chew Jetty), Kimberley Street Night Market, and the Street Art area. The front desk staff are warm and welcoming, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the facilities are comprehensive. It's definitely our top choice for accommodation when visiting Penang and comes highly recommended.

Environment: The facilities are very new, and the bedding is good too. Service: The front desk service is excellent, with staff on duty at night, which is convenient for check-in and check-out. Location: Convenient, with many dining options nearby. Transportation: It's located in George Town, a bit far from the Old Town on foot (but fine if you like walking). You can take the bus, but you have to wait 😓. Ride-sharing apps like Grab are convenient. Security: There's security, and the elevator requires a key card, so it's quite safe. Hygiene: For an apartment hotel, it's exceptionally good. Free daily cleaning is offered, but you need to inform the front desk. Swimming Pool: Very good, many families with children were playing there.

View from the apartment was amazing and just need to look through the window and you see the blue sky and ocean. Just that the apartment they gave us has 3 rooms and if you book 2 rooms they will locked up the one of the room. The issue is that when we checked in they just let the 3rd room open and we thought we could used it until the security guard came and knock the door and said he has to lock up one of the rooms.

This hotel offers incredible value for money, especially for ***** New Year in February! It's an absolute steal. The hotel boasts a pool, a beach, and a gym. The rooms are incredibly spacious, offering direct sea views, and housekeeping is on point with daily cleaning. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but it's decent. For just over 400 RMB including breakfast, I honestly don't think any other hotel in this price range can compete at this time of year. Downstairs, just across the road, there are two convenience stores and a few restaurants. For more dining and shopping options, I'd recommend heading straight to Gurney Plaza, which is less than 4 kilometers from the hotel. The only downside is that it's quite a distance from the airport, over 20 kilometers away.

This beachfront hotel always delivers a pleasant surprise! The surroundings are fantastic, making it easy to enjoy local cuisine. Shopping malls like Plaza are also within walking distance or a short taxi ride away. The hotel lobby and fitness facilities are impressive – very upscale and sophisticated, definitely not like a budget hotel. Sticking with international brands really pays off! It felt great, and getting to George Town was incredibly convenient, just a few minutes by taxi. I highly recommend checking out the pool and tennis courts!

I only stayed one night. The hotel has a nice view and is on a high floor. Breakfast was quite good. The bathroom only had a shower, no handheld showerhead. Even with all the lights on, the room was still very dim, which felt a bit off. Overall, the hygiene was good. The hotel's location is excellent, and the service attitude was good.

We stayed in G Hotel Kelawai for 5 nights. The hotel is between two shopping malls - Gurney Plaza and Gurney Paragon. Excellent location. Another hotel nearby (about 400m) is G Hotel Gurney. Both the hotels' guests are given the option to use each other's facilities and guests are given the flexibility to have their breakfast at either hotel without any advanced notice. By the way, G Hotel Gurney is the older hotel and is directly connected to Gurney Plaza, whereas G Hotel Kelawai is less crowded and quieter, which we liked. The breakfast variety is acceptable for guests who are on a short stay. Out of curiosity, we wanted to try out the breakfast at G Hotel Gurney but were prevented from doing so because of the heavy rain. Upon request, hotel guests can commute between the two by the hotels' buggy. The 25-m swimming pool and gym in Kelawai were hardly used. Clean and well-maintained rooms.

The hotel is great, staff are impeccable in their attentiveness to the guest. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was absolutely outstanding, with an abundance of choices catered to satisfy every taste. The pool and gym are also fantastic, with the added convenience of being open 24/7, to put in an early morning workout. Spacious and very well equipped and maintained. However, our stay was not without faults and there are definitely some things management needs to address: - the noise from the elevator automatic announcements is absurd! the ”doors opening/closing” alerts are constant and audible from neighboring floors as well as your own.If you stay in a room numbered xx15 or xx16, be advised you will not have a pleasant time - we asked to change rooms immediately as soon as we realized this. - elevators can be SLOW, magma slow. it can take a long time to move around if you are staying in a higher floor. We stayed for 2 nights and during that period 2 separate elevators were down for maintenance. It took us a total of 15 minutes to move from one floor to the other, after getting our room changed (for reasons stated above) and new keycards. - the level from street noise audible in the room is just inadmissible at a supposed 5-star hotel level, at least in the rooms facing the main road. These rooms have, inexplicably, a single pane of glass and very tall windows, which makes soundproofing pretty much nonexistent - mat rempit bikes racing in the dead of night, the call to prayer blasting from the loudspeakers of the mosque nearby before 6am, drilling from the construction site nearby, and other nuisances that definitely disturbed my sleep.

Staying at The Royale Chulan Penang at the end of the year, I was immediately struck by the hotel's exquisite environment. The understated luxury decor combined with immaculate attention to detail truly conveyed a sense of high-end quality. But the most memorable part of this trip was the warmth provided by a lobby staff member named Devika. Her fluent Mandarin made communication effortless. From the thoughtful guidance during check-in to her meticulous assistance when I checked out on December 13th, everything made me feel incredibly comfortable. Before I left, she proactively helped me call a taxi and confirmed the vehicle details; these thoughtful gestures alleviated the fatigue of travel. ”Malaysian Hospitality” is not just a slogan in Malaysia; it's a genuine sentiment that Devika embodied through her actions. This warm service added an invaluable memory to my trip to Penang. Facilities: Good Cleanliness: Good Environment: Good Service: Excellent, especially the female staff member named Devika in the lobby. She speaks Chinese and provided exceptionally good and attentive service.
