El hotel está bastante alejado del centro de Tromsø. La parada de autobús para ir al aeropuerto está a 10 min. Parece poco pero si está nevando y llevas mucho equipaje hay que ir con tiempo porque las cuestas tienen hielo. Cuando entras, es una maravilla. Han renovado las zonas comunes y es súper bonito. Pero al entrar en nuestra habitación doble.... No estaba renovada. Es la habitación más pequeña en la que hemos estado en 8 días por la zona. La puerta no está en buenas condiciones. El baño parece de ”un hospital”. Para nuestro gusto la cama y las almohadas son incómodas. Las paredes de la habitación tampoco están en buen estado. Cuando fuimos a desayunar parecía otro hotel. La cafetería con vistas panorámica era preciosa. Y el desayuno tipo buffet estaba muy rico. Nos choca bastante la inmensa diferencia que hay entre las zonas comunes y la habitación.

The hotel enjoys a very strategic location, making it convenient for sightseeing, shopping and eating. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast spread, which offered a wide variety of options, although it can get quite crowded on weekdays, making it difficult to secure a table. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive. One suggestion for improvement would be the addition of facilities like a sauna or other winter-friendly amenities. Harbour view from the window is nice (see attached). Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay.

Overall, this was a good stay, especially for a long layover, though there are a few areas that could be improved. The bedsheets smelled and felt clean, but there were a few random speckles of black dots on two of the blankets that could be removed. It was a small detail, but noticeable enough to affect the overall impression. Rest of the hotel is clean and well-maintained. The bathroom could also benefit from more hooks or hanging space for towels and clothes. That said, we booked a room for four adults and it was pleasantly spacious. There was sufficient seating, and it comfortably accommodated two large suitcases plus three smaller ones without feeling cramped. The beds were also very comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional. There was a wide variety of options—from well-prepared hot dishes to marinated herring and smoked salmon. The selection of pastries was excellent, and beverages included Biola yogurt drinks, juices, and chocolate milk. Everything we tried was of high quality. There is also free laundry available on the 6th floor, which is a very useful perk for travelers on long journeys. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Since it's the off-season here inTromsø in the summer, the cost of staying is much lower than in many other parts of Norway. So, considering the price I paid, my experience at the Dock Hotel far exceeded my expectations in every way. The facilities are among the newest, and the design is rich in textures and shows great attention to detail. The bathroom, in particular, is very spacious. Other than that, I would also say the city itself centers around this hotel because it's the first stop of the bus that goes to the airport, and my guided tour also used this hotel as the meeting point. Overall, my stay was pretty much perfect in every aspect.

The room is spacious and clean. Great view from the room's window. I really like the room layout and it is beautifully furbished. The kitchen is great because it comes with A COMPLETE set of kitchen utensils. You will never run out of anything. This is also my first time staying in an apartment-like hotel in Europe, so I was impressed by the dishwasher. The floor is also warmed, which I like. Especially, in the bathroom, my feet didn't feel cold at all, unlike other places. I could not use the kiosk to check-in, but it worked just fine on my iPhone. I was worried about using smart key in my iPhone, as I read a lot of complaints from other reviews. However, it worked perfectly, including the entrance, elevator, and my room. I had no issue at all despite my thick phone case. During my stay, I met no staff. Luckily, there was not any issue, so everything was fine. Lastly, the location is the best. it is located in the centre, and there are several supermarkets nearby. Overall, it is a great place to stay and the price is very affordable. I think I will stay here again if I have a chance to return to Tromsø. 

This could not have been more convenient for access to the town and also access to the quay. It’s within walking distance of Polaria, the Polar museum and the cathedral. The breakfast was excellent, and much high-quality than elsewhere during our day. Dinner was included, and while it was unremarkable, it was very welcome! However, one big drawback was that they refused to clean the room as we were not staying for more than three nights. We understand their commitment to sustainability and the environment, but we saw no real information about that commitment or their policy or how the money that they saved would be disposed of in faith of the environment.

It felt just like coming home! ✨ This hostel is cozy and simple, and I never had to worry about food since they offer fika, dinner, and breakfast! Plus, the world's northernmost McDonald's is only a 5-minute walk away, and the harbor is right in front of the hostel, making both mornings and evenings absolutely delightful 😊

When I arrived, I found the view from my originally booked room was blocked by external pillars, so I discussed it with the hotel and upgraded to a better room. The hotel breakfast is considered rich and delicious for local standards. It's also conveniently located within walking distance to the city center. I would recommend this hotel if I come again or if friends visit.

Front desk service was friendly and upon seeing my membership status, gave us room upgrades. Though the room was clean and modern, the bathroom is in desperate need of an upgrade. The bathtub has what looks like years of yellow staining, showerhead from the 80s, hairdryer would struggle drying writing on paper. The fact there were no photos anywhere of the bathroom means they know exactly what I'm on about. Would not stay again purely because of it.

Stayed in a superior room, which was much larger than the standard rooms. It had four big glass windows, offering plenty of space. The breakfast was the same as the Thon Hotel across the street, but the dining area here was bigger. The bed was quite comfortable, but the room's cleanliness was just okay, and we couldn't find the TV remote. Overall, it's a decent hotel, especially considering the price increase during peak season was relatively reasonable.
