We celebrated our first wedding anniversary and my son’s 5th birthday at Belmont Hotel Mactan, and the experience was truly unforgettable. From the entrance to our room, everything smelled clean and luxurious. The room was spotless, and the ambiance made us feel like VIPs throughout our stay.
The staff were incredibly accommodating when I requested a kettle for hot water, they prepared it right away. We also appreciated the easy access to Newtown Mactan Beach. Even when we forgot our beach pass, the reception found a way to assist us, and the fitness center staff were very friendly.
They’re not strict, and maybe that’s why many guests love staying here because the service truly stands out. The most magical part was experiencing fireworks on the night of our anniversary. It made our celebration extra special and memorable. We’re definitely planning to come back! Highly recommended.

This hotel's location is excellent, within easy reach of major establishments, and the staff are consistently polite and friendly. The Filipino breakfast buffet was a delightful highlight, though unfortunately let down by the weak coffee.
However, the hotel's major shortcoming is cleanliness. Our room's bedsheets were so worn they appeared grey instead of white, which raised concerns. Furthermore, housekeeping service was lacking; while the bed was made and towels were changed, the counters and sinks were left un-wiped. For a hotel that isn't very old, the lack of attention to basic upkeep was disappointing.
We had a lovely stay at this beautiful resort. The infinity pool is stunning, and the direct beach access makes it even more special. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Everything was well organized and clean.
However, considering the price of €200 per night, the value for money could be improved. For the Philippines, this is quite a high rate, and we expected a bit more luxury. The breakfast buffet was quite basic — mostly cheap fruits like apples, oranges, and watermelon. We would have appreciated more tropical options, which are usually standard in the region. Also, cappuccinos were not included and had to be paid separately; only basic filter coffee was available.
Overall, it’s a great resort, but the pricing doesn’t fully match the experience
My first time in Maayo Hotel I was kinda hesitant since it was connected to a hospital , but I finally decided since the location is very accessible. I may say that it’s 1 of the underrated city hotels in cebu , very affordable and amenities are top grade. I loved the ambiance and very friendly staff. I highly recommend this hotel.
Security was good, they checked every vehicles enter the premises and screen everyone entering the hotel lobby. The room is spacious and comfortable. The soundproofing can be improved as I can hear people chatting while passing by the corridor. The swimming pool is down on maintenance. The breakfast buffet spread is generous and delicious.

Savoy is a good hotel, as it is located in the very center of Mactan, not far from the beach. The staff is friendly, on the first floor they give a towel and an entrance to the beach. The room was quiet, as was the whole hotel. On the first day they gave a dessert, it was nice and sweet. The water pressure in the room is good, there was always hot water. A gym and a swimming pool are available. The hotel was very humid, so things took a long time to dry. The floor in the room was dirty, as if it was never wiped.
We had a wonderful stay at Solea. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly accommodating especially with our requests and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort.
The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, providing the perfect blend of comfort and style. The hotel’s amenities were also exceptional, with a relaxing pool and dining options that offered delicious meals and a variety of choices to suit everyone’s taste.
What stood out most was the impeccable service, their readiness to assist, the staff made us feel truly valued.
Solea is perfect for families and friends looking for a relaxing getaway. Whether you’re planning a family vacation, a trip with friends, or just need a break, this hotel is a good choice.
Thank you, Solea, for making our stay so memorable.

We booked two rooms for five people and requested an extra bed, which cost ₱1,000—good thing it already came with breakfast buffet access. However, the check-in experience wasn’t great. The front desk staff moved quite slowly, and the whole process took almost 30 minutes due to unnecessary delays.
The rooms themselves were spacious and very clean, which I really appreciated. My only minor disappointment was that the TV wasn’t a smart TV.
Location-wise, this hotel is perfect if you’re heading to Bantayan Island since the North Cebu Bus Terminal is literally right across the property. SM is also just a short walk away, making it very convenient.
Overall, the room was comfortable, the breakfast buffet was decent, and I especially enjoyed their taho. Despite the slow check-in, it was still a good stay for the price and convenience.
The room is good for couple or friends, the bed is comfortable and clean. The hotel is near the beach and restaurants which is a plus. The price for 1 night is not bad. Will recommend staying at hennan to everyone planning a trip to Panglao Bohol.

✔️Location: good if you are shopping to Ayala or SM, accessible to both
❌Food: not so good choices. Also I booked 1 adult then 2kids. In other hotels, Seda, Parklane, Shangri-La, they don't let me add an additional fee as the breakfast is already good for two adults so the 2 kids are good as 1 adult. But here, I have to add payment. Also, on our 2nd day, a group went down at 7am for breakfast, apparently few food left.
❌Service: I asked for a room service as their vault is not functioning. Called 5x but its been more than 2 hrs and no one came. Handsoap (refilled) is empty. No bathroom tissues either which is essential as I have kids.
❌Security: I think its not 24/7 as no one manned the entrance during day time. High possibility of outsiders to get inside the hotel.

YYenLeeIncredible hotel with top-tier service. The rooms are huge and beautifully designed. Loved the direct access to all the restaurants and amenities at Nustar. The Best breakfast buffet!
GGuest UserBreakfast was great. The location is excellent, close to everything, and easy to find. My only minor issues were the lack of in-room slippers and no toiletries provided. However, they made up for it by offering unlimited drinking water conveniently located just outside the room.

GGioTAll bookings at Nustar Resort include breakfast and access to the Executive Club Lounge located on the 23rd floor of Fili Hotel.
Mini-Bar is complimentary with a selection of 2 local beers, juices, and sodas. Nespresso machine with 4 capsules. TWG tea. Bottled water is unlimited. I appreciate the fridge being very cold.
Gerlain Paris branded bathroom amenities, as well as bath salts for the large bath.
Afternoon Tea (2:30 pm - 4:30 pm)
Light snacks with a limited selection of savory and sweet bites, they need to improve on this.
Evening cocktails and canapés (5:30 pm - 7:30 pm)
Excellent food buffet. I like the lechon quesadillas, jalapeño cheese poppers, and siomai. I appreciate the bartender crafting cocktails from a menu of drinks.
I understand the hotel is still brand new, but they need to do multiple inspections before releasing the room to guest. Vanity mirror was dusty from construction.
The Butler service was very attentive, many thanks to Ice (Butler) for making my stay pleasant, he would escort me to the pool, and even breakfast buffet at Fili Hotel bypassing the crowd at the entrance.
Breakfast Buffet is at Fili Hotel which is extensive and one of the best in Cebu. The problem is the crowd, while Nustar Butlers will escort Nustar guests to a table, there’s no dedicated tables for Nustar guests, which confuses the restaurant staff with seating assignments. Alternatively, the breakfast buffet at the executive club lounge is quiet but with limited options, they should have an a la carte menu to expand options like other international luxury hotels.
The security at the lobby entrance is wildly inconvenient and inconsistent, every time you enter you need to prove you’re a guest of Nustar and not a guest of Fili or a ****** player. It’s weird that they are sometimes overly strict and many times just ignore people passing by. Guests have a keycard to use elevators what’s the point of the guards that have a list of people’s names and room numbers, if anything that’s a security risk.
The pool service is lacking. Shared between 2 hotels and the upcoming grand summit. The pool area lacks service of a 5-star hotel, towels need to be claimed at a towel hut. My expectation is that there are staff that will setup loungers with towels for guests. And since the pool facility is shared with the muncher large Fili Hotel it can get crowded. Fortunately, Nustar has a private infinity pool which was closed my stay.
Nustar Resort has potential to be Cebu’s most luxurious hotel, they have the hard product with their spacious luxurious rooms, but they need to improve their soft product - the service from the butlers are outstanding and personal, but everyone else seems to be lost. For the asking price of 250-300 usd per night there’s a lot to expect.
Nustar is primed for excellence but falls just short of achieving refined luxury. I’m hoping Nustar partners with Marriott and rebrand under Luxury Collection. Or even Hyatt with Unbound Collection.
GGuest UserThis was a fantastic hotel! What stood out most was how incredibly kind and helpful the hotel staff were, offering 24-hour assistance. The breakfast was also delicious, and the rooms were clean, making for a truly satisfying hotel stay.
JJan MoreThe staff were so nice and accommodating. They truly cared for us when the earthquake happened on the night we were sleeping in our rooms. We used the stairs from the 5th floor post incident fearing for the aftershocks…we all stayed by the under renovation pool to stay away from the building in case it collapsed. The building swayed so much with the 6.9 magnitude..it was scary. The staff were calm and kept us all comfortable despite being scared themselves too. They helped us all moved to the 2nd floor after midnight post safety inspection.
GGuest UserThe hotel itself is great, and our family room was spacious and comfortable. The dining experience was excellent, with a well-balanced buffet breakfast and quick poolside service via a convenient QR code system.
However, the check-in process was a bit drawn-out. After I thought I had completed everything, I was called by phone back to pay a deposit. They mentioned they would contact me when the room was ready, but I never received a call. I ended up going back later on my own, and while the staff did apologize, it was still an inconvenience.
My only other gripe is the lack of valet parking, which I would expect at a hotel of this standard. Instead, guests have to walk roughly 250 meters each way to the car park, which can be uncomfortable in the heat.
Overall, a great stay with a few minor hiccups
GGuest UserBooked an overnight stay with Seda, was a fantastic experience. The staff were attentive and professional. Rooms were spacious and clean.
The breakfast buffet available was delicious with a variety of selection available both western and pinoy friendly, my personal favourite was the salad bar.
I enjoyed using the views from the rooftop bar at night, and using the private entrance attached to the mall.
Seda is mine, and my husbands number one choice when staying Cebu City. 5/5 stars
GGuest UserWe had our best stay in Cebu, thanks to Holiday Inn, we had the perfect buffet breakfast to start the day and free coffee in the afternoon. Very nice view also of the Business Park at night, and very hospitable staff! We will surely come back!
