Very satisfied with this stay. All the staff are very polite, including the doorman at the reception, especially Dilisar and Kud at the front desk. Check-in was very smooth, and free breakfast for four people was given. The room was also very clean, and the view was first-class. You can see the lake and snow-capped mountains from the room. There are many newly built hotels nearby, but I will probably choose here next time I come.
Value for money option within walking distance of old city. Comfortable bed. Was able to do a load of washing for free. Non-Chinese speakers might find it a bit challenging to locate- I couldn't enter the address into Didi when coming from the airport. Took me two taxi rides to find it. Suggest entering 'Kashi Prefecture Cultural Center' into your Didi, then it is an 80m walk down the alley to the left of the cultural center.
We absolutely loved our stay at Jiangyun, our room was comfortable, clean, big and nicely decorated. The hotel is in a beautiful traditional building, and within walking distance or a very cheap DIDI ride to all attractions. The best part about our stay was the kindness and friendliness of Yan and Rukia, they went out of their way to provide information for us and help organise onward travel to Kyrgyzstan. Yan speaks good English and with his adept use of a translator app we were able to communicate on all topics.
When we couldn’t find a cooking course in Kashgar Yan organised a neighbourhood chef to come and teach us how to make steamed buns, in the guesthouse kitchen, it was great fun!
Can’t recommend enough,
Tim
The environment is good, the service is very satisfactory, the stay is comfortable, and it is relatively cost-effective. You can go to the front desk for consultation on chartering a car and traveling. The recommendations are also very cost-effective. It is very worth staying. It is convenient to travel and is close to tourist attractions. You can go around by electric scooter. Very convenient and worry-free for a long time.
My family of 4 had the best stay at this hotel!
When we arrived, the staff stood by the door and greeted us warmly. As the weather fell to extreme lows during the period we were staying there, the heater was unable to keep the tents warm enough. As such, the staff graciously upgraded us to a family room inside the building. The view was absolutely stunning from the room. When the sky is clear, you can even see stars from their rooftop! The room itself was extremely clean and tidy, while the bathroom was very well equipped. The beds were large and extremely comfortable, and there was even a humidifier in the room which was perfect for the cold and dry weather.
The service of the staff was exceptional. My husband and son experienced altitude sickness upon our arrival at the hotel, and they took extremely great care of them, even cooking them a warm meal. They even provided us with snacks before we left for our day trip. On our last night, they invited us to have dinner together. The staff prepared a home-cooked meal which was very delicious. During the duration of our stay, the staff took exceptional care of us and made us feel at home. Even as we checked out, they gave us a farewell gift as a token of appreciation.
I highly recommend this hotel to all travellers! This was truly a great stay, and thank you to the staff who was committed to ensuring that my family had an amazing stay here!
Impeccable cleanliness, especially within the bathroom. The room was spacious with ac/heating should one need, plus there were lockers and locks to the room door, accessible via key and key fob respectively (likewise the front door). Water and coffees and breakfast is available at the hostel too, as are tour options. Overall, the place is excellent and popular with tourists from around the world. The social spaces are ambulant and there is a cute golden retriever and kitty for bonus points. Would recommend 200%
A very cute little village next to the Irtysh Grand Canyon. If you can walk across the bridge, it seems that you can take the bus to Shenzhong Mountain directly. You don't need to go into Kekesuli. The most beautiful thing is to see it from the road when the car passes by. The No. 3 mine pit is what you imagine anyway. Look at the feelings. The Irtysh Grand Canyon is the most worthwhile. You must go to the innermost part.
We had a wonderful 5 days at Lee's hotel. It's ideally located, the rooms are clean and spacious, and Lee is a great host, always available for any request. He also speaks English, which is a big plus! Thanks again!
This is a homestay opened by a sister who is known by my family. She recommended me to stay here to experience it. I am the type who is picky about pillows and pays more attention to toilets and showers when I live outside, but I am completely satisfied with this experience. There are a few things that impressed me deeply that I would like to share with you: 1. I was afraid that I would not be able to sleep with the pillows outside, so I brought a pillow with me, but the sister's homestay has 3 types of pillows. I am very comfortable with the square memory foam pillow and I am very satisfied with it. Hahaha. 2. The courtyard is clean and tidy, and the decoration is mainly blue and white with a variety of green plants. Although it was cloudy these few days, I still took good photos. 3. I stayed in a free room, which was just right for a single travel. I must praise the room layout again, including but not limited to the 4-piece bedding set. The small florals are very cute and the cotton touch is also very comfortable. I especially want to buy a set for my own use. Hahaha, I am very satisfied with the toilet and shower, and some small decorations are very beautiful, with a medieval feeling, plus points. 4. There are a lot of snacks, I like the pumpkin seeds the most, the five-spice flavor, and there are a lot of books. You can find a chair in the courtyard to sit down and read a book, which is also very comfortable. 5. The location is very convenient, just inside the Menbazaar, and it is Restan Street when you go out. There are many restaurants on both sides. There are super big noodles for 4 yuan each, and a bowl of noodles is only 7 yuan. What impressed me most was that a new supermarket opened on the street. Hahaha, go in and buy water, water is only 80 cents 😆, it is very close to Kuche Grand Temple and Kuche Palace, a must-visit place.
It's nice to have a homestay like this next to the highway. The room facilities are not very good and the room is not big, but it has everything it needs and is clean. You can also see snow-capped mountains outside the window facing Karakul Lake, but it is blocked, so the scenery is probably not as good as that of the Buzhou Mountain Camp. Diffuse oxygen generation does exist, but its effect cannot be compared with that of an oxygen generator. The boss is very welcoming. I really like the salty milk tea for breakfast. But the time is a bit late, starting at 9:30. During the May Day holiday, the price/performance ratio was average, but overall it was pretty good.

TTravis and ElishaWow! What an amazing place to stay and how lucky we were to find it. By far the best place we stayed in China. Mrs. Li (the owner) was so genuinely nice and caring, and we felt like part of the family staying there. One of my favorite things in Kashgar was hanging out with her and her family in the evenings. She always invited us at night to hangout in the common area where she would make us tea and share her fresh and dried fruits with us. She was really good at using a translator app, so we were able to have a good conversation with her through that.
She has a great little family. Her son speaks good English and was also very nice. She had a young daughter who also speaks English, but is more shy with it (though she will sing you a Taylor Swift song..she has a great voice). They have 3 cats and the youngest one, little tiger, is just the sweetest and the friendliest cat I have ever met.
It was such a good and warm feeling to stay there. We definitely wish we could visit again. A home away from home. And we were treated so generously in more ways than we can write here.
Mrs. Li asked us right away if there was anything she could help us with, without us having to ask, which we really appreciated, and she took the time to sit down with us to go over our plans. She let us store our luggage for 3 days and walked us out to help us get a taxi when we departed.
While it was the family that made it simply amazing, some might also be interested in the following information.
The location is great. On a quiet street. Close to the big mosque which is a good landmark to use to find the area. And of course close to the old city. It's also really close to the biggest supermarket we have found thus far in China (we have to admit it was nice to get a few ”luxuries” from home like cereal and hot chocolate).
The guesthouse is cute and has a Central Asian feel. The shower works great and is hot. We were there in the winter, and the room has heat if you needed it. Mrs. Li was able to arrange a driver for us to go to Tashkorgun and the Karakorum Highway, which was super helpful. The place was nice and clean.
Thank you so much Mrs. Li! You will be a highlight of our visit to China and will be remembered in our hearts forever.

PS: when we get home I'm going to try to write up a bit about our trip on Tripadvisor because I couldn't find anything about Kashgar on trip advisor since covid, and some things have changed, so I thought it might be helpful for fellow travelers, so look for that.
QQiqiA very satisfactory homestay during the trip to Zhaosu. What you see is what you get! ! ! The homestay is newly opened, covering a large area, with ample spacing between rooms, spacious rooms, and a very user-friendly layout. The view outside the floor-to-ceiling windows is so beautiful! ! It is also worth mentioning that the spicy chicken raised by the B&B is delicious. I felt a little guilty because the chicken I just saw in the afternoon was eaten in the evening. One portion is enough for four people, and two of us didn't finish it and left it for the next day. The meat skewers and vegetarian dishes are also very delicious, with a lot of wok flavor. The proprietress even made us a special cocktail, and then she went for a wild bike ride, which was really cool~ We didn't have breakfast in the morning, and when we were heating up the spicy chicken, the lady at the B&B brought us some pastries from the morning, and the table was full in an instant... The Kazakh baursak and raspberry jam were so delicious, and they said they were made by their employees themselves. I love this place and will definitely come back if I have the chance.
SShuhanAraleWe were a group of five people, with children and elders. The lady at the B&B contacted us in advance and was very considerate. She upgraded both rooms for free. The B&B has a very good environment and is designed with unique features. It is very beautiful. The location is excellent and very convenient. The ladies at the B&B are very beautiful, considerate and gentle. The service is very good.
GGuest UserThe room was cleaned very cleanly. It is worth mentioning that the pillows are soft and hard, unlike the soft pillows in many hotels and homestays. I slept very well in Taoyuan.
Winter is cold and dry. The indoor air conditioning and floor heating are sufficient. Just in case, there is also an electric heater. The socks were dried in two hours. There is also a humidifier. Although it is a drop in the bucket, it makes people feel very comfortable.
The housekeeper kindly gave directions to the parking space and helped to carry the box. The front desk also provides breakfast and coffee afternoon tea, and the quality is also very good.
A few suggestions: It is easy to forget to draw the curtains when checking in at night because it is dark outside. I hope the store will replace the main window with a gauze curtain to protect the privacy of guests.
It is not reasonable to manually draw the window in the shower room. It is recommended to at least apply a frosted film. After all, the window faces the main road. For guests who value privacy, even a slight gap will feel bad.
Overall, it is a very good living experience!
DDuoduomumuYining is our favorite city overall. There are fruit trees all around the road. Apple trees, cherry trees, apricot trees, and most importantly, they are all mulberry trees. You can experience the fun of eating mulberries while walking!
The owner of the B&B is really warm and welcoming. The room decoration and design are also very good. The breakfast made by the aunt in the morning is also delicious. The whole small garden is very beautiful!
Also remember to ask the proprietress for tips and recommendations on local restaurants! Don’t go to the so-called internet celebrity check-in spots
GGuest UserThere is a lot of delicious food nearby and the bus terminal is close by. The boss is as warm and caring as a friend. The room is on the third floor, the windows have a large ventilation area, Yining is hot, the air conditioning is cool, the cost performance is very high, I stayed for two days in a row.

TTinkerbell1723Nice hostel, but there’s one employee who doesn’t want to work that spoils the impression of the hostel. I booked this hostel for a friend (Chinese) and myself (foreigner). We booked the beds online and immediately called the hostel to reserve two lower beds which they confirmed (I have back problems and need a lower bed). We arrived in the evening to be met by one employee (I’ll call him employee 1) who said that foreigners aren’t allowed although it’s very clearly stated on Trip that they are allowed. He then proceeds to call another employee (employee 2) who then checks us in without problems. We get then shown the room by employee 1 and there are only upper beds left. After saying that we reserved two bottom beds employee 1 says that the beds are taken on a first come first serve basis so bad luck for us and then walks away. Very rude and a complete disregard to a guest’s need We then have a talk to employee 2 and he provides a solution we are happy with! Employee 2 is a great guy who actually wants to work and make this hostel a better place and employee 1 is lazy as they come and should be fired (and perhaps work somewhere where he doesn’t need to be in a customer facing role). Apart from this, the hostel is small but clean and with a simple kitchen and living room. Not expensive either!
GGuest UserThe facilities are complete and clean. The most important thing is that the boss is very nice and the service is considerate, just like family. Free pick-up and drop-off to the scenic spot, thank you very much 😊, the second floor of the homestay can also be used for cooling off, overlooking the alpine meadows, the geographical location is excellent. I will definitely come again next time or recommend it to relatives and friends.
GGuest UserVery clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Lacked in amenities - no normal towels provided, No couch or table to use for sitting or eating. Only the bed with one pillow per guest was provided for all your needs. Even though I personally had no use for Chinese tv , it did not have one. Even though it is a new building the large space had rather Awkward layout with toilet lack of privacy and door hitting the commode when opening more than halfway.
Great, friendly and enthusiastic staff more than make up for the physical shortcomings however. We enjoyed our space. Being a new hotel, I am sure they can use my observations constructively and improve their facilities.
