I needed my boyfriend to stay over while I was traveling and this was the perfect place. This isn't a 5-star hotel, but it did the trick and we were very comfortable - here is why. PROS - Coming from Bilbao Airplane or taking Bus?...: It is close to 2 blocks from Bilbao Intermodal and if you are coming from the airport, this hotel is an easy walk from where the bus drops you off in San Mamés. The location is also SUPER safe. - Transportation: If you look down the street and cross it, you will also see the tram station along with the metro station. - Food?: There is food everywhere. This is Bilbao. Spend 2 euros (or really please buy a Barik card) and go into the city, you won't be disappointed. The best part about the tram is that it goes theoretically left or right. I live close to NYC so I understand it can be complicated, but the system in Bilbao, chef's kiss. - Bed/Room: Pro? The bed/room you get in sleek, modern, and for a REALLY CHEAP PRICE! Please don't hassle your way into spending a lot of money on a hotel in Spain. It is not truly worth it. Just get this place, feel comfortable, and safe. - Staff? There are not many, but the ones that are there will help and accommodate you. You just need to be nice. I say this because I went in to check in and someone was being helped. They weren't that nice to staff, so please remember, we are all human. CONS - Cleaning: I will say, the bathrooms were clean, but the headboard for me was dusty. It might have been that the room wasn't used a lot. But please don't worry, it did not effect my stay considering the price was reasonably cheap. - THE ENTRANCE!: You need to understand, their rating is a 2/5 stars but it is NOT because they are bad, in Spain it is based on what the hotel/hostels have and DON'T have. So what they don't have is a front reception. Listen closely if you are going to go here. Once you get on the street, you will need to buzz into the door as if you are requesting to go to someone's apartment. OR they will give you a code before hand. Once you go in, you need to go straight till you can anymore. Make a left and find the elevator. There you will need to press the

The hotel itself is located in a great part of the Casco Viejo. Once you get oriented, which is not necessarily easy, you are in a great position to enjoy Bilbao. Everything you have heard about the wonderful pintxos in Casco Viejo is true; the hard part is that you can't eat everything. Walking is possible to many places, and the subways are easy to deal with, especially if you ask at the information window for help. Bilboans seemed incredibly helpful and kind everywhere I went in the city. The hotel's reception desk was also helpful and solicitous; I very much appreciated their willingness to answer my questions and help with directions. The problem was that it wasn't quite what I'd expected. My room was OK, but small. It did not resemble the photo very much. The bidet was in a community bathroom; my private bathroom did not have one. Definitely not deal-breakers, but a little disappointing. Overall a good enough place to be, and they certainly were busy, but not special.

Excellent cleaning, very good bed quite above the category of membership, very good and careful reception girl and gave me very useful information for the stay and how to move. In spite of the distance from the city center there is a fabulous 50-metre train from the structure that brings you to the city center in 14 minutes! Two bus lines at 200 metres (20/30 minutes to reach the nervous points). The Metro stop is inaccessible because it is beyond the river, so the news reported is wrong! Quality ratio /prezzo excellent. You can want breakfast because there is a small kitchen in common. Very satisfied!

The room is compact with a shower, toilet and basin squeezed into one corner. There is a small hanging space and a TV on the wall. There is a small desk and stool. If you just want somewhere for one night, this is perfect. The catering options at the hotel are limited but it's only a short walk into the village where there are lots of bars.

He was polite, understanding and well explained all the amenities that came with the stay. The studio unit was clean, and well appointed with fresh linen, towels and bottled water. There is no AC which is quite common, but the unit was equipped with two powerful, adjustable fans, and the windows opened slightly for fresh air. The hotel is a 50 yards or so from train tracks serving the local station. Trains run periodically during the day but diminish as the evening approaches. The location is a short walk to Old Town San Sebastián where one can experience plenty of enjoyable night life and the crowds are not a problem, as there are plenty of restaurants and bars. All in all, a nice stay for my first visit to San Sebastián.

Through the window, which is located to a desolate inner sheet, almost no daylight falls into the room. You have to almost always turn artificial light in so that you can move in the room! The photos of room 107 published by the hotel operator do not reflect the reality at all. All were taken with artificial light without exception. The reception of the Casual Blue, which consists of a table and a chair, was not occupied during our stay. All communication with the operator, such as the access code to the hotel and the room, was carried via the smartphone either by email or via WhatsApp. A direct contact was possible only with the Casual Gurea, which belongs to the same group, which is about 200 metres away.
