The view of lake Toba is stunning, beautiful Batak architecture style, but the room we stayed had some ants, otherwise is still clean, breakfast is local food, honestly we had a good stay, but really not for perfectionists.
Bobocabin never disappoints! This is my second stay, but this time at Bobocabin Parapat, it really elevated my Danau Toba experience. Stunning views, a comfy bed, and great water pressure. Check-in was super easy too. If I ever come back to North Sumatra, I’d definitely stay here again.
This hotel was absolutely fantastic in every way.
First of all, the owner's hospitality was wonderful; their English was perfect, and they even understood a little Japanese. The room had air conditioning, and we could see Lake Toba from our room. There was a restaurant right next to our room, allowing us to enjoy the luxury of doing nothing. I'm writing this review in Japanese because I want to recommend it to Japanese people.
Excellent, large bed. Decent Wi-Fi, hot showers and sufficient amenities for a short stay.
There are not enough places to eat nearby, but this is not a problem of the hotel but of the entire region as a whole.
For the money this is a great place, highly recommended.
A dated, but generally nice hotel.
Unfortunately, the cleanliness leaves something to be desired, and details and amenities are lacking.
However, the accommodation, with its beautiful view, is perfect for Instagram posts.
The location is quiet and quite remote.
The service is very friendly and attentive, although communication in English was a bit sluggish at times.
Overall, a good stay, but the price is too high.
the inn is nice, comfortable and quiet.it is also close to the river where we can take a bath in the river directly quiet and peaceful, seriously there it is really good.. If you are looking for peace and want to feel the cold river water, you can swallow and stay in the mountain view
It was my first time in Samosir, and Toba Village Inn is super convenient with an amazing view. The staffs are helpful and friendly too. You’d be able to rent your scooters from the inn itself. Will definitely visit them again 😍
Mmiss banzaiIt is such a paradise on this island. It is a quiet place, beautiful for couples, families, kids or to hang out with friends. The place is spacious, with direct access to the lake. Almost all bungalows are facing the beautiful lake. Perfect place to mediate, read or chill. They also have catamarans, swimming pool for kids, a billiard table, scooters to rent and a restaurant with a beautiful terrasse. The staff is so friendly and warm. I totally recommend this place. I have been going there for years, and it is the absolute best place on this island.
RRijkProbably the best resort in Pantai Cermin. The staff is friendly and attentive. We had good matrasses and a spacious room. The website includes a note that ‘some rooms have windows’, suggesting the chance of getting a room in some sort of cave. We think most rooms have (several) windows, so the description of the rooms deserve better.
Be aware that the place is hard to get or to leave if you don’t have your own means of transportation. Taxis don’t come here, maybe Grab does. Foreign tourist hardly come here and only a few staff speak English, but Google translate can help out. The resort is busy in the weekends with local tourists from nearby, like Medan. The immediate surrounding is regularly sweeped to remove rubbish, but many places, including the beach has a pollution issue.
ЕЕвгенийKeep in mind that electricity on the island is periodically turned off, for several hours (5-6 hours). Otherwise this is a great place.
Delicious and varied cuisine, excellent views, helpful staff, some rooms have a lot of ants, but it’s possible to find the best option.
Excellent entry into the lake.

AAnonymous UserHaving a last minute booking the reception was really fast. We were also given a voucher for snacks. The view was fantastic. Being facing the Bukit Barisan and having Mt. Sibayak as a background. Thought of having dinner at the Rooftop cafe. But only knew that the cafe only opened after 8pm. We ordered at 8pm, but only received our food at 9.15pm. Even my kids already cried because of hunger. The food was average. Not much of a choice. Even the choices in the menu were not really available. Please bring your own soap, shampoo and tissues since these were not provided.
IIrr:naWe came to this hotel on night and everything have been prepared for us. We enter to the room straightaway and prepare to sleep. Book two standard hotel since we have 5 people. Even though its cheap, but we have a great stay to rest. There are hot water in the toilet room. There are no fan and a/c because the room already so cold.
GGuest UserGreat place to stay. Very quiet and chill. Only downside was the flushing toilet did not work properly, the hand washing sink's pipe was not properly installed, the speed of the shower was not fast enough and hot water sometimes was limited (maybe because we did not know how to operate it well). Overall, with quite an affordable price, I can't complain much 👍
Also, they allowed me to borrow their water host to clean my car before checking out on their reception yard.

ЕЕвгенийNo Wi-Fi. Nearby there is a villa where young people sing karaoke and play the guitar every day, sometimes until 1-2 am, this makes it difficult to sleep. I hope the situation will change.
Beautiful view from the second floor (take a room on the second) of the volcano. For a short stay this is a good place.
