Guest UserThe entire guesthouse was spotlessly clean, and the decor was warm and stylish. The host was very friendly and patiently answered all our questions about local attractions and how to get around. The location is excellent, with food, drinks, and entertainment all within easy reach.

Guest UserThe hotel's location is incredibly convenient, close to all the main attractions with excellent transport links. The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet, making for a very satisfying stay. I was particularly impressed by the hotel's accessible facilities; it's wheelchair-friendly, which is a huge plus for seniors and guests with mobility issues. The staff were all friendly, warm, and attentive. This is definitely a hotel I'd recommend and will certainly be returning to! 😊🏨♿✨

Caren 鎂晴Really had a very pleasant stay here with my family 😊
We all loved the unit very much. The house design feels very cozy and comfortable, and most importantly, the whole place was very clean.
Before our stay, the check-in and check-out instructions provided were also very clear and easy to follow, which made the whole self check-in process very smooth and convenient for us.
The facilities were also very family-friendly for guests with babies and children. The host thoughtfully prepared extra bedsheets, pillows and blankets in the cabinet. There were also board games, swimming goggles and swimming floats prepared for guests.
The kitchen utensils were very complete, and they even prepared separate utensils for Muslim guests, which was very thoughtful. Another thing we really appreciated was the floor mats outside the bathrooms because our family is not used to walking around indoors with wet feet.
My daughter especially loved sleeping in the living room because she could lie on the bed while chatting together with the family. There was even an old-school game console for guests to play with, which brought back nostalgic memories 😊
The air-conditioning was cold enough, and the refrigerator remained powered on while we were outside, so we did not have to worry about our food getting spoiled. The bathroom also had a shower chair for elderly guests, which was very suitable for my father.
The location was also very convenient. In the morning, there were Malay food stalls right across the accommodation. Walking about 5–10 minutes to the left side, there were also Chinese food options available. Downstairs, there was ZUS Coffee and a mini bar, which made everything even more convenient for families staying here.
During our stay, my father accidentally broke the shoe rack while sitting down to wear his shoes, and we also accidentally cracked two mugs while making ice. The host was very understanding, did not blame us, and immediately reassured us not to worry. We truly appreciated their kindness and professionalism.
The only small suggestion for improvement would be to have more power sockets, as families travelling together usually need to charge many phones and devices.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would gladly come back again 😊

Yen Cen OhThis hotel is still relatively new, and one of its unique features is that it occupies two separate buildings facing each other, rather than having all the rooms in a single building. One building contains the café, where breakfast is served, along with about eight guest rooms, while the other building is used exclusively for guest rooms and rises to three floors (or about two and a half floors). As noted by other guest reviews, there is no elevator. The wooden staircase is quite steep, so if you are travelling with large suitcases, the hotel recommends asking a staff member to help carry your luggage.
The room was clean, spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. Some hotel amenities are not listed on Trip.com information, so you may need to contact the hotel directly for more detailed information. However, their responses are not always prompt. There were also a few inconsistencies between the information provided by Trip.com and the hotel. One example, Trip.com advises guests to notify the hotel one or two days before arrival if they require services such as early check-in, but the hotel did not provide any guidance regarding this. Most of the information guests need is only explained by the staff upon arrival.
Breakfast is served from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, which is different from the schedule at most hotels. Although the menu is limited, the food is delicious and the portions are satisfying. Guests often wait in the café while their rooms are being prepared. If you need any additional room amenities or supplies, simply ask the hotel staff. They will show you a list of available items and provide whatever you request.
Overall, this is a comfortable, clean, and modern hotel that offers excellent value for money. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Melmond Maison Hotel, and I especially appreciated the kindness and friendliness of the staff, particularly Sohanur Rohman, who was exceptionally helpful throughout my stay. He truly served the guests wholeheartedly.
One suggestion is, since there is only one chair that is for the dressing table, maybe the hotel can provide a backrest chair, so that guests who need to use the table for a fairly long period of time can lean back comfortably and avoid shoulder pain.
Thank you!

龚永昕At this price point, it's fantastic value for money. I'd definitely return. Although the location is a bit far from GT, I would still consider it for future stays as it's not far from the commercial area, and transportation is decent.

Lai Fee ChingWe decided on our overnight trip to Penang at the very last minute but still managed to secure this unit and check in on 29th Dec 2025, since it was impromptu, prices were not cheap. It was difficult to find good and reasonably priced accommodation just after Christmas before New Year. However, I must say this unit was a good find. Not cheap but reasonably priced due to high season but I must say that it was easy to book, check in and out, everything went smoothly. Communication via Whats App and Check in details were sufficient, did not have any difficulties in finding the place and parking was good. Location is excellent.
This place is in Georgetown, we did do GRAB if we wanted to go to places which were difficult to find parking and the rest which were further we just drove to where we need to go. For dinner, the young adults walked back from Citadines Hotel area (happening place with hawker food round the corner and a shopping mall) and had a great time discovering new F & B outlets. The rest of the senior citizens of course, took a GRAB car and quickly got back to the unit to rest and had a nice cuppa tea before bedtime. The following morning, it was breakfast at Pulau Tikus market, nearby as well. Old hawkers are still around there, so food is good. There is a great Nyonya restaurant in that area as well though we could not go this time round as we ended up at Oceano Symphony. Another story to follow up if you are interested.
Our family enjoyed our stay at the unit, decor was good and facilities were well-kept, clean and sufficient. The view is lovely (high floor) - do have a good seaview, stretches from Living room all the way to the Master Bedroom. Also you have 2 convenient shops downstairs in case you need to grab a sandwich or drinks.

Guest UserThis stay was fantastic! The hotel's overall ambiance is really comfortable, and the room was clean and tidy. The decor is simple yet elegant. The mountain view from the floor-to-ceiling window was absolutely beautiful, and the air in the morning was wonderfully fresh. The room facilities were complete, the bed was soft and comfy, and the hygiene was also very satisfactory. The hotel's location is quiet, and check-in and check-out were both very convenient. The whole atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing getaway. The service was also very warm and friendly, and it offers great value for money, looking pretty much exactly like the pictures. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm here. Highly recommended!

SE LooiOverall we are satisfied with this hotel but there are one thing I want to highlight. After check out the lady whom I liased with when I checked in told me that there are a burn mark on the bedsheet & also mattress protector and she will forfeit my deposit of RM50.
I then asked my niece who slept on that bed & she said the burn mark was initially there but she doesn’t know that she must inform us about it.
I’ve tried to explained to her many times that my 11 years old niece was sleeping on that bed & none of us in that room smoke or using any electrical appliances such as hair iron or curling iron or which non of us have with us so how can we the burn mark appeared there. She kept insisting that it was a fresh burn mark and she won’t let her hotel guests sleep with a burn mark bedsheet.
This is totally a scam to us as I travel with my mum, my husband, niece (11 years old) & nephew (10 years old) could caused the damage as claimed. I do not have choices but just accept it as the lady keep saying that my deposit is not even enough to cover. Am not sure why they used such a tactic towards a family with kids and I have never had this problem in my entire booking with Trip.com.
It was our mistake that we didn’t check the hotel room condition as we checked in very late - 8:26pm and all of us are really tired from travelling long journey.
I’d say it was caused by their own staff which are 2 Bangladeshi guys who handle housekeeping but they blamed it on my family. Of course they won’t admit it as the lady keep saying they won’t provide burn bedsheet.
This is totally not fair to me and one of the staff keep insisting me to pay the deposit when I arrived.

Hi. Thank you for hosting us.
It was really a wonderful stay. I am especially surprised and warmed by your hospitality. I traveled with 4 young kids (all boys), my elderly mother and my wife. We don't commonly travel because it's always a concern to us, how to make time and space for everybody. But. This time, things are alright and it turned out to be a very smooth and comfortable stay.
The place is spacious and just nice for all the 4 kids to roam. The view outside is astonishing and the unit is directly facing east. In the morning, I could actually catch a glimpse of the sunrise. It really makes me understand by sudden, why Penang is named as the jewel of the east. Ya. It was a perfect morning for me then.
The room upstairs is specially designed for the kids with warm colours, clean bedsheets, blankets and soft pillows. It's so comfortable, and my kids refuse to leave the room. To my surprise, inside the drawer besides the bed, there are very nice story books for the young minds. Not to mention, the huge TV screen in front of the bed and an even bigger one, downstairs in the living hall.. Ya, there is always something for every different age.. btw, I brought along 2 young minds who are 3 and 5 years old, they had wonderful nights and sound sleep.
Ya, it's for those traveling with very young ones, or even the old ones. Ya, the old speaker works really well (with the high ceiling of the living room), when playing a nice morning piano music in the early morning, it's so calm, clear and crisp, and looking out of the window and the vast blue sea. You can temporarily forget about the hassles of life.
Thank you again.
👍 Thumbs up

อุ๋ยอ๋อยThis is a great place to stay. The hotel sent a message with check-in instructions one day in advance. The accommodation is located inside a cafe. The room was large and very clean. The building manager was also lovely. The accommodation is not far from food stalls, shopping malls, and the bus station. It's not deserted at night, which is perfectly fine for a solo female traveler.
