Amsterdam Hostels

Very good location, inside a park with front doors opening into the park and a small stream. A bit of a walk from subway, tram is closer. Inside an old school house there is an old lecture room you can relax in. Bed was very comfy. Lobby always full of people and big groups which can be a problem depending upon the person.

Definitely one of the coolest hostel I’ve been. Super cool stuff,easy and fast check in and out , great facilities,bar ,coffee shop , hall area super chill atmosphere. I am very satisfied with my stay in this hostel and with reception staff. Location is perfect too . I had lovely stay and will definitely come again and recommend it to everyone. Only one thing is not good ,check in is at 4pm and check out is at 10am 😭 that’s kinda annoying 🤷♀️ but all other things are just great 🤩🤍

It was the second visit to Via Amsterdam. The staff is friendly and efficient. The hotel is not far from the Sbahn Station and Amsterdam Main Station you reach within 25min. The rooms are simple and furnished with the most necessary. The Velourhit as well as the staying areas are super! It has parking places. Price performance is absolutely true. A perfect hotel for youth groups!

When looking at The Flying Pig from the outside, you see a small door and a sign. But on the other side of that door is what feels like an entire block of dorms right in the centre of Amsterdam. The atmosphere is laid back and welcoming, the people are chill and the reception bar has fantastic deals during happy hours. Down the street you can find anything from **** shops to fine dining. My 76 y/o father has been staying at the Flying Pig when in Amsterdam since it opened, and I now understand why he was so keen to show me. It's a really unique place that truly feels like Amsterdam. Their staff was amazing in helping to plan our stay as well as I got injured and ended up in a wheelchair/crutches combo one week prior to our trip. The building has a lot of stairs and narrow hallways, but the staff gave great information and made sure I got a bottom bunk and was as comfortable as possible. We'll be back!

Perfect for sleeping and storing the luggage, which is exactly what we needed! Nice and helpful staff. The atmosphere was cozy and the place felt clean. Slight downside is how warm the room got in the night. We also got the absolutely smallest room which was fine with us but beware it’s cramped. But I’m definitely staying here next time I’m in Amsterdam.

Interesting concept. It was my first time staying in a motel like this. The bed was quite small, though. I stayed in the upper bunk bed. Considering the price and it was overbooked everywhere else and I only need a few hour to sleep over, I think it was quite okay. Nevertheless the place is quite nice and clean. It has shared kitchen, places to hang around, to work, etc.

If you are looking for a very easy access bar and good time then this place can be great for you. As for the night it is a bit loud due to there being a bar below with activities. The beds/room were everything you would expect from a hostel, the experience will vary depending on the guests there with you.

The location is very convenient and the environment is beautiful. As a youth hostel, there are too few supporting public facilities and public spaces, and the rooms are not clean and tidy.

the receptionist was super super nice she was really kind about my booking super last minute and the people weren’t wackos either so it was pretty good
