Hostels in Attica, Greece

Service: The staff I encountered were all quite good. The younger ones had good English, and the older ones were friendly and smiled warmly. 5/5 stars. Cleanliness: Very clean. There was a Cameroonian lady who spoke French, which was a plus! The room and bathroom were well-maintained and the air was fresh. Environment: I stayed in a 6-bed mixed dorm. When there were a lot of guys, the snoring was constant, sometimes even a duet! On the last of my three nights, there were three girls, which was better. The beds were sturdy with good privacy curtains. As for roommates, it's really a matter of luck! But it's good value for money, and it's only a 5-minute walk to the subway, so transportation is convenient. 😂

I think this is an amazing hostel especially for the price. All the amenities are new, and the room and bathroom is very clean. The beds are comfy and bottom bunks have drawers under, plus you each have a very big locker with a shelf. You get a key for your locker so no need for a lock. The shower has great water pressure and there’s all in one shampoo/shower gel available and a big towel. The AC is perfect, and you can change settings on the little electronic panel in your room. The kitchen is well stocked with all the cutlery, pans and dishes you might need and with microwaves, kettle, toaster, two stoves and three fridges. There’s plenty of space to sit to have your food downstairs! Reception were also super nice and helped me with info on what I wanted to see/do and lent me a cable for my kindle. Thanks guys :) By the way, the neighbourhood is not as bad as YouTube videos made it. I’ve walked as a solo female traveler at 12am a few times through it, and it was alright and there were other women walking late at night by themselved. Just don’t be downright careless and walk with purpose. The hostel is really not far from the main road and those are perfectly fine - it’s only the area near the metro I found a bit sus which is why I generally just took the bus or metro from another station.

Amazing location. A couple minute walk from Monastiraki metro station. A short walk to the Acropolis and Acropolis museum. Stayed in single room, with private bathroom and balcony. Check in was quick. I arrived early so left my luggage in coin lockers for the morning. Room was clean, shower was good (hot water and strong) Bed was good. Pillows were just ok. Balcony overlooking the alley was nice. Can sit out there and people watch. There's a common area across the alley in the main building. Only cons were - no hairdryer, no toiletries, and the doors are loud when they close. So if someone comes in late or leaves early the doors can wake u up. Some street noise of people talking but not bad. I recommend staying there and would stay there again. l

This is a very clean and new backpacker hostel. The bar and kitchen are on the second floor, and when I went there was an ATM at the reception. The rooms are spacious and small. However, all rooms have their own bathrooms, so there doesn't seem to be any competition. It's close to Omonia Square, Psiri, and the Athens Central Market, and is in a district with a lot of Middle Eastern residents, so it's a little different from the image of Athens (but there are many cheap restaurants, so it was useful).

Amazing place with five stars facilities! Plenty of room for fellow nomads outside of our own designated bedrooms, a wide range of activities to try for free, a killer view of the Acropolis from their rooftop bar and they even threw in a free drink in the evening. The place was clean, convenient, and near shopping spots. The only problem was the construction going on around the place but thankfully it was temporary. For my private room, they provided clean towels. The bathrooms were clean and spacious for a dorm kind of situation. The air-conditioner was a saviour in summer and they even had a little balcony. Amazing price for what I've gotten out of the stay. Staffs were accommodating and helpful. Again, five-stars for the facilities! For a hostel, it's dreamy!

The location is less than 10 minutes walk from Omonia Station. The room was clean and the hair dryer was lent. The staff is also good. However, mosquitoes were physically strong in the room and when they came, they were stabbed in many places. No matter how many kills, they will be stabbed the next day. You should spray mosquitoes on your cleaning trip. Do you know that mosquitoes kill the first person? The staff should deal with mosquitoes right now.

I stayed a total of 4 nights! I stayed in both the dormitory and the single room and it was great. The single rooms fill up quickly so it's best to book early! There's also a cafe in the hotel so you can relax and unwind! The staff are all the best! They were so kind and helpful ☺️

I thought it was great that they provided a free breakfast. It was a buffet style with three kinds of bread, tomatoes, cucumbers, and plenty of drinks, including milk, juice, and water.

The boss is a young man, very talkative. I was very tired after a night flight. The check-in time was originally scheduled for the afternoon, but I arrived early in the morning. I contacted Ctrip, and the customer helped me contact the boss, who quickly cleaned the room for me to check in and rest. Thank you very much! This kind of timely help is really needed when you are abroad!

OK so this hostel is awesome but it's a short walk away from the tourist areas. Here you will experience 'true athens' the local bars and food is so much better than you will get at the tourist traps. The locals are friendly and very much welcome, however the area may not be everyone's cuppa, it depends what you want I guess.. The hostel it self has great communal areas and such great staff, a very vibrant and social experience. Look out for their events and try the pizza... 👍🏻
