Overall, the environment is quite nice, and there's a courtyard where you can park. However, the bed in the double room was really small and cramped. On the bright side, the service attitude was good. I'd suggest they do something about pest control; other hotels don't seem to have as many bugs.
The hotel reception is very detailed, the location is very convenient, and the scenery is beautiful.
The only thing is the power outage in the morning, which causes some inconvenience. Next time I come to New Zealand South Island, I will arrange to stay again.
The advantage is that it is very close to the train station and the pier, a few minutes walk; the second is cheap, the service staff is warm; suitable for non-self-driving backpackers. There are many shortcomings, the deluxe double room, said that there is a private bathroom, in fact, there is a public bathroom, and the washbasin is not much bigger than the palm; The room is basically not soundproof, and the sound of the corridor is clear; the so-called breakfast is a refrigerated bread, bake it yourself with butter jam, and then adjust the milk oats; Free parking is parked on the side of the road next to the street, not the road in front of the hotel. In fact, it is marked as a limit of 60 minutes. The hotel staff informed that there is someone in front of the door and no one in the street parking next to it.

GGuest UserThe facilities were fine. The double room we reserved came with only that.. a double bed. Not even a nightstand next to the bed or a table in the room. There was also no heater or fan and the room felt musty with a bit of moisture in the air. Could use a dehumidifier when it's raining out like it was this day/night. The other guests in the hotel were the problem. I was woken up at 4AM by someone upstairs in the smoking area chatting so loudly on their phone... I had to get out of my bed in the middle of the night and ask them to go somewhere else or end their call. It was absurd. In the middle of the night someone cooked a very fragrant meal that made the entire building smell - it was so intense that it even permeated into our room which was the furthest room away from the kitchen... not a great stay when you can't even sleep through the night and feel like you are sitting in the middle of someone's meal.. Not worth the price
EErma from CanadaPrivately owned, friendly owners. The room was roomy and clean. There is a sitting area out the back patio doors which was good. The outdoor furniture is a bit older. The bed and linens were good for a 2 night stay. We just needed a place to stay while we toured the area. Havelock where the postal boat tour is just a 35 minute drive away. There is a Countdown grocery store right across the street which was convenient. There are no restaurants within walking distance.
CC_CXGood location where just nearby Picton Ferry Terminal. get by there around 9pm but still allow to check in, and next day 6am just drop the keys in the box even though the office didn’t open. Normal amenities because what you paid is what you get, nothing complaint.

大大王来巡山Since we were not in a rush, we decided to stay in Picton for one night before leaving.
The town is not big but very clean and beautiful. I booked the hotel late, so there were not many options. I chose Beachcomber because the reviews were good.
From the train station, follow the navigation and you will arrive in a short time. The front desk staff is a lady, very friendly. We were supposed to check in after 2 pm, but we were arranged in advance. The door is retro and uses a key, which is quite nostalgic.
The room is very clean and better than I expected. You can see the beach not far away from the balcony. The distance is not far or near, and you will not be noisy by the bar at night. If the weather is good, sit on the small balcony and chat with the neighbors. It is quite convenient to go to the beach, restaurant and boat.
CCanadian wandererWe stayed in this motel after arriving on the midnight ferry. I called ahead about the late check in and Lisa was very helpful. The key was left in the door, and the room was lit with the curtains open. The room was a good size and very clean. We would definitely stay here again.
NNathanThe location of the motel is terrific. It’s on a tiny hill overlooking the harbour. If you are lucky and get the rooms upstairs, you really have a fantastic view day and night. The room itself is rather simple, but it does have a balcony with chairs and a table. Great for enjoying the view. But be prepared if you are driving there. The slope to the reception is steep and parking is very squeezy. Smaller cars would see an obvious advantage there.
GGuest UserBeautiful location overlooking the Marlborough Sounds, grassed area in front down to the sea. Short walk to beach and 10 minutes walk to marina where there is a very good pub with great food.
Very peaceful and lovely outside space to enjoy view and peace - very relaxing.
Lovely apartment, very modern and clean and well equipped. Quality towels and linen.
Too far from Picton Town to walk but only 10 minutes drive to the ferry.

Jjeffreycschow- nice interior design that puts it on the pedestal in the same league;
- squeaky clean and spick and span;
- very comfortable beds that you are mollycoddled, from the very first moment you hit the sack till getting up, which is the last thing you want.
- quiet and reclusive, but easily accessible to the town;
- Flexible check out(upon request)
- Facilities just as described, almost brand new, wonderful
