Wonder stay! The room is very clean and the staff is super friendly! This is a family run hotel, and they are nice people. The location is perfect-short walk to the lake and away from the hustle and bustle of the main road and town. We got good sleep in Aden .

Located on the shores of Lake Te Anau, this hotel has 14 rooms. It's a luxury hotel apartment, or more accurately, a high-end motel. Originating in California, USA, it gained popularity with the rise of road trips, similar to American motels, European hostels or inns, and British B&Bs. In New Zealand, any accommodation where parking is connected to the room falls into this category. This one is adjacent to the lakeside trail, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and water. It's newly renovated and well-equipped, with a two-bedroom room particularly suitable for a family of three. However, compared to similarly priced five-star hotels, the service is less refined. A two-day stay, my first experience with a motel. It's neither the detached atmosphere of Edward Hopper's paintings, nor the ambiguity of Wim Wenders' writings, nor the gloom of *** Talese's shadows. Simply put, it's a clean and simple place to stay. Overall, it's a good place to stay in the town of Te Anau. One more thing: the rooms on the first floor are next to the parking lot, so privacy isn't ideal; the second floor is better. However, the first and second floors are randomly assigned upon arrival. Even if you booked the second floor through Ctrip, you may still be assigned to the first floor upon check-in. This was the problem I encountered on this trip.

I would have given this a 5-star rating. However, I deducted one star due to staff behaviour and a fire alarm that went off at 5:00 a.m., requiring guests to evacuate the hotel. Additionally, the staff could benefit from some customer service training, particularly in showing warmth and empathy toward guests. When we visited the front desk at 12:30 p.m. to enquire about an early check-in, the staff member was not at all understanding or accommodating. She bluntly say “No” and kept looking at her monitor without any reason.

感恩遇到了這家酒店的老闆和店員，幫了我很大的忙！慶幸自己的選擇！ 首先前台在最後一排的通道右拐進去，有一位馬來西亞華人老大哥，聽到了熟悉的中文就感到很親切；後來第二天早上離開又返回尋求幫助，是一位女生，我把租的車的輪胎蹭壞了，她幫我聯繫車行報案、發郵件、幫我找哪裡有營業的輪胎店（那天週日）… 真的太感動了！非常感謝妳🙏 整個旅館很漂亮，乾淨，後院直通皇后公園，早晨去散步很舒服😌 房間內廚具應有盡有，竟然還有電磁爐，讓我此行終於吃上了一次自己煎的牛排，這是在其他旅店都沒有遇到有過的驚喜！

Love this place very much. Very clean and spacious room, there were elderly friendly toilet & bathroom ( we had another bathroom with bathtub). The kitchen is well equipped. The view overlooking the lake was superb. Jetty to glowworms just in walking distance (1km). Numerous restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance as well (1-1.5km). You can just park your car in the apartment and walk slowly along the lake to enjoy the stunning scenery.

A small apartment with privacy and parking in front of the door. Not the newest but very well equipped, especially the kitchen. There were various cooking utensils and coffee, tea and hot chocolate. It is very spacious and you can sit comfortably at a table or work because the WiFi is reliable and stable. You can wash and dry laundry. The motel is right on the main road and therefore it is a bit noisy when there is a lot of traffic. It is also a bit outside the city center. However, shops are within walking distance.

Although the equipment is relatively old, the price is relatively low. As long as the hygiene and service are good, you are basically satisfied.

Couldn t had been any better !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our 2 rooms had everything we needed , very cosy and warm . Very easy check in and check out ; I had emergency business to attend to , an the Lady at reception was ever so helpful....great shower pressure. great beds .....Washing machines very easy to use and located . Thank you All was great .....

The reception staff were very warm and friendly and even gave us a bottle of milk. We had requested a family room with a tower view, and the location was perfect – we could see the tower directly from our living room. Queen's Park is also just across the street. The only downside was the cooktop in the kitchenette; it was either too fast or very slow to heat up, quite old-fashioned, and difficult to use. Additionally, the motel requires guests to park their car directly outside their own room, and parking in other spots is not permitted.
