Necati DemircanThis was one of the best hotel I stayed at in Manila. I had some hesitations about the shared toilet and bathroom, but they were quite clean by Philippine standards. The hotel even has a pool, so you can sit by the pool in the evening and meet other guests. However, our room didn't have a window and was a bit damp. The only downside of the hotel is that the surroundings aren't very safe. You need to be cautious around the hotel if you're a foreigner. Mall of Asia is only 10-minutes by Jeepney. The hotel is also close to the airport for those leaving the city.

KhareesiThis was my third stay at Yamato Hostel, and I honestly keep coming back because of the overall experience. The place has a really nice aesthetic, it’s always clean, and the price is hard to beat. And super close to MOA and NAIA. It’s one of those hostels that gives you great value for your money!
That said, I did notice a few things during my latest stay that I hope can be improved:
• The Wi-Fi has gotten noticeably slower. I had a hard time getting work done, and to make things worse, mobile data isn’t very reliable inside because the signal is pretty weak. This needs to be fixed since a lot of guests I saw are working too.
• The hot shower was inconsistent. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t, which can be a little inconvenient after a long day.
• The upper bunk on the 3rd floor female dorm gets REALLY hot. 😅 It honestly felt like a sauna at times, so maybe there’s an issue with the air conditioning on that floor. I’ve stayed in the 2nd floor mixed dorm before and never had this problem, so I hope they can check it out.
Even with those issues, I’d still come back. That’s how much I like this place. 😂 I even asked if they had a loyalty membership like other hotels and hostels because I’ve stayed here a few times already, but sadly they don’t (yet!).
Also, don’t skip the coffee shop on the ground floor, it’s good and definitely worth trying during your stay.
Overall, I’d still highly recommend Yamato Hostel, especially if you’re looking for a clean, stylish, and affordable place to stay. Hoping they can improve the Wi-Fi, hot shower, and air conditioning because this place has so much potential. I’ll definitely be back!

Guest UserThe staff were friendly. Wi-Fi is only available in the common area (1st floor). The shower, which I guess is normal in the Philippines, was the overhead type and I found it difficult to use as I'm not used to it. The futon was clean. I didn't use the toilet.

Guest UserBe prepared to pay a 1,500 peso deposit. The internet inside the room was very slow. No toiletries were provided, such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, or slippers. There was also no mini-fridge or complimentary bottled water. The air conditioning was cold, but the blanket provided was so thick that I felt hot again – it just didn't balance well with the cold. They are very strict about their linens and charge a significant amount for any stains. Some occupants in the hallways were noisy, and you could easily hear them inside the room.

A very good location in this ugly city. Though it was hard to find it.
The room is small, service is good. The girls in the room were very friendly.
I tried to use public buses nearby and failed, they didn't stop at the ”bus stop area”, wasted time. So only used metro

CambrianThe staff is really nice, helpful, and friendly. They try the best to interact with all the people as my observation and try to remember our name as well.
The location is good for me as it is under visitors gather point and walk out u can see many visitors as u also easy to find a foods especially to who not really cannot accept local road foods.
They also offer free walking tours around the area and explain to u.
Opps not to forget the free welcoming drinks. Probably, if they can indicate the name of drinks, it will be much helpful as I do not know, and too hard for me to remember when staff told me during place order.
The room i booked is dorm for 4. They do offer me a free lock to lock the locker rather than I need to buy the new one. Highly appreciated. But I found the locker is dirty with maybe detergent , i am not sure, but my bag all has been full with the unknown dirty and I need to use my own one time deal tower to clean it . Really sad. Probably, future staff need to check the locker condition besides the bed.
Overall, if u are looking for party night and knowing more new friends, it is good options, but if you prefer a quiet environment, u may need to reconsider.

MyRuleLeeA unique old hotel where some rooms have a car garage. Fast and satisfying service. There is no elevator for rooms on the second floor. So those bringing large suitcases will be helped by the hotel staff. What I like about this hotel is its security, where there are security guards who always guard and supervise every guest. I especially admire the friendly and attentive female security guards. For the room, I said it was okay because it was quite spacious, clean, and comfortable. I didn't try the breakfast so I can't write a review for it. This hotel is close to a small jeepney terminal and a night market, there are also many restaurants and malls nearby. Just a 10-15 minute walk. When I checked in, I was asked for a 5,000 peso deposit (very large). Since I didn't have enough pesos because I was leaving Manila the next day, when I said I was giving a deposit in Ringgit, dollars, or yen, they allowed me not to give a room deposit. I also don't understand why the deposit was so large. When I gave Ringgit and asked for a receipt, the officer at that time didn't give it and returned my Ringgit. It was very suspicious not to want to provide proof of receipt.

I booked my stay in Manila through Trip.com and had a really good experience. The booking process was simple and user-friendly, with clear details about the property and location. The price was also reasonable, which made it even better.
When I arrived, the place looked exactly like the photos, and check-in was smooth and hassle-free. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby shops and key areas.
Overall, I’m satisfied with my stay and would definitely book through Trip.com again in the future.

Clean and hygienic, with excellent service. They even proactively helped us hail a taxi and provided information on local dining, attractions, currency exchange, and how to get a local SIM card. It's budget-friendly and in a great location.
