There are many specialty shops near the location, and you can enter many pleasing places within walking distance. The saloon is the most satisfying place for me on this trip. The overall feeling is relaxing and comfortable. The only drawback is that there are many small mosquitoes in the shower room. Otherwise, it would be more satisfactory.

The housekeeper who received the stay was very kind and courteous, the hotel's equipment was also full of complete, and the living environment was comfortable. There is a food street not far from the surrounding area, which is more local than the food in Jiufen Old Street, and the price is much closer to the people!

This is one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed in. It was very spacious and the staff were very friendly and approachable. The room was very clean and everything was well prepared. We were also able to check in early as we arrived slightly earlier than planned. Our stay indeed felt like we were in a spa house. No complaints at all. There is a jap restaurant just beside the hotel and it served amazing food and drinks. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

This is a good place to stay if you need to be very near to Taipei Main Station and Taoyuan Airport MRT, with the latter just less than 5 minutes to the ticketing and platform area. Few steps only from Y13 exit of Taipei City Mall underground, to get to the MRT exits Y16 and Y20 is easily reached on the opposite side below. Word of caution though, the hotel does not have any lifts which maybe troublesome for those with heavy luggage. However, once you reach the reception at level 2 via stairs at the main entrance, the rooms inside are relatively big enough at a low price compared to nearby hotels on this area. Safe locker and fridge is also provided with a sofa near the bed, though having a room with no windows means the dirt might accumulate on some of the corners. The amenities are at level 6 such as the laundry area and main breakfast/eating area. The breakfast included on this booking is good enough to start the day, consisting of dumplings, baos and bread with spreads. Vending machines for coffee and tea is present, and I appreciate the hotel’s initiative for us to self clean the utensils, plates and mugs after use. Housekeeping though is only done once unless requested. Instead of key card, actual keys are used to access the rooms. The card included is for the main entrance for use when arriving late at night. Overall I still experience a comfortable stay and might consider it again.

It’s my first time staying at hostel, and I’m quite worried actually. After reached there, it was nothing I need to worried about! Location: it’s super duper near to Taipei Main Station (Bus interchange) within 5mins walking distance. You can exchange for metro, bus interchange, high speed rail or even airport MRT at this area, just make sure you do some homework before that to prevent lost 🤣 There’s some convenient mart nearby, and a small breakfast restaurant just right beside the hostel. You will get a breakfast voucher TWD 100 for each morning, just top up the difference after the deduction. You may save lots of money for breakfast, the food was great and have options,try it! Cleanliness: the thing I most worried, but overall it’s quite clean. For 2nd and 3rd floor the toilet and shower room is mixed use, 4th floor only for women. So far, I’m just using the 2nd floor as it’s just the same floor as my stays. Everything is good. 👍 There’s a bookstore inside the building, common area is at the same area with bookstore. You can pass your own sweet time reading books with minimum purchase of one drink inside the bookstore. I made some new friends too during the visit, next time will visit again.

The location of the hotel is very good, but the trail leading to Mao Cable Mountain on the left side of the entrance has very long grass and many insects, so it is no longer suitable for walking. The hotel service is only available until 10pm, which is a pity. In addition, the hotel has free bicycle rentals, which is a good intention. However, the bicycles are old and lack maintenance, making them difficult to ride. In addition, there is a steep slope from the door to the lake-circling bicycle path, and it is estimated that not many people can ride it.

Old Man Captain Hostel is in an unbeatable location—right in front of TRA Tainan Station, making it super convenient for travelers. However, the entrance is a bit tricky to find as it’s inside the FamilyMart by the station, so it took me a while to figure out how to get in. There’s also a Ubike station nearby, which makes exploring the city really easy. The staff were friendly and spoke English well, which made check-in and general communication smooth. As for the dormitory, the beds were pretty basic, and the room itself was quite small. It wasn’t exactly dirty, but it wasn’t particularly clean either. If you’re just looking for a place to crash for a night or two, it does the job, but don’t expect anything fancy. Overall, a good option for budget travelers who prioritize location over comfort.

It was clean though But sounds were uncomfortable and we had construction sounds and I couldn't really rest at room and sometimes heard that at Lounge. Lounge was good space and had some chat. I think we have matching with personality so I couldn't understand Chinese so We had free cold water and we can value that and location was near convenience stores. And nearLGBT town. Xiamen? I think. Staffs were okay.
