Service was absolutely brilliant! Nothing was too much trouble! I had great brides morning and they left a bottle of fizz for us which was really nice! Beautiful spaced room, clean and had all necessities. Would definitely come back if I would need a room in Edinburgh. Highly recommend.

It's far from the city center, not very convenient. There are no supermarkets or restaurants nearby. I feel like living in a barren mountain. There is no elevator in the hotel and it is very difficult to carry luggage. The breakfast is rich, but the quality of coffee is poor. The dinner is good and the service attitude is average.

A very satisfactory hotel during the trip to London. The location is very good, close to the subway station and bus station, with complete surrounding facilities, safe location and very British style. The room is small, especially the shower room is too small. It is clean and comfortable. The breakfast room is very elegant, and the outdoor yard with olive trees is very pleasing to the eye. There are not many types of breakfast, but the pastry is delicious!

Hotel breakfast is general, the location is remote, it is not convenient to find. However, the surrounding environment is beautiful and comfortable, the front desk service is very kind, the room is quite large, the hotel building itself is very old, it is somewhat old.

This hotel is cost-effective. It is very rare to set up a hotel that is convenient for travel in Edinburgh. We were lucky to catch up. Recommend everyone to come to this hotel. Because the city is small to travel by foot, there are more restaurants around, and you can find an economical dinner at any time. The environment is also better

Very spacious king sized bedroom apartment with living/dining room and separate well equipped kitchen & full bathroom. Situated in a wonderful neighbourhood offering great transport links across the whole city, airport & train stations. It is walkable to the city centre and Haymarket station. The apartment is surrounded by Harrison Park and a few minutes walk from the Union canal. There are two spaces in the apartment for working, one in the bedroom and one in living room, with high speed reliable internet. This is a home away from home. It has all the comforts you need to enjoy visiting or working in the city. It is great for both short stays, as an alternative to a hotel, or for longer stays, while working or visiting friends and family. There are lots of great local restaurants walkable, local pubs, supermarkets and the entertainment complex of Fountain Park less than 10 minutes walk. We are situated between Slateford, Polwarth, North Merchiston & Dalry neighbourhoods. The location is great. There are bus stops right in front of it for both sides. It is very easy to go to Rosslyne Chapel or the city center. There is always hot water. The wifi works well. The rooms are fine. The only downside is there is no breakfast. That's fine too, there are many alternatives outside. There are no hotel slippers, but that's nowhere else in the UK. So bring your slippers in your suitcase when you come to the UK. I would definitely stay here again if I came back because of its location and very good price/performance value 👍👍👍

The hotel is located in the new town, 10 minutes walk to Prince Street, the location is very good, downstairs is very popular with locals of the traditional British restaurant, locals will come here specially for breakfast. There is a unique design style, the room is big enough, the bed is comfortable enough, very comfortable experience, the only downside is that the stairs are very narrow and the large luggage is very difficult to get up and down.

Great hotel. Stayed here before and it’s really nice for the price. Just be aware that they have an issue with their lifts at the moment, and I think it may be a while before they’re fixed from what a member of staff told me. They offer to carry your bags up to your room etc but, if you have mobility issues, you should confirm what floor your room’s on before booking.

The environment is also very clean and tidy. It is very close to Edinburgh Railway Station. You can see the entrance of the railway station when you come out of the back door of the hotel. This hotel is historic and grand, I highly recommend it. Was once the Harbor Master's house for the port of Leith and it truly holds all of the charm of a historic building, but with many cool upgrades! The area is really charming, just off the water and a fairly quick bus ride to all the downtown sites. Every single member of the staff from the restaurant, to housekeeping to the front desk really went out of their way to be kind, helpful and attentive. This was a trip of a lifetime for me and they truly made my visit to Edinburgh all the more. I highly recommend The Malmaison. Thank you so very much for an excellent stay.

The location of the hotel is invincible (the house in the lower right corner of the second picture). Turn right after exiting the Market Street exit of the train station and walk for one minute. You don’t have to worry about carrying large luggage. When you cross the road, you will see Prince Street Park and Waverley Bridge (where the photo was taken). After crossing the bridge, you will see Prince Street. Turn right and walk for 15 minutes to Calton Hill. Turn right and walk for 3 minutes to the Royal Mile. There are many restaurants along the way. It is very close to the University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh Castle, and the Art Museum. The staff’s service is very good. When they meet people from non-English speaking countries, they will communicate with guests at a very slow speed. It is also very convenient to store luggage. There is also an airport bus at the door of the hotel.

Awful hotel that is definitely not 4* and the service is not at Hilton level at all…. The hotel goes under the renovation and there were only 2 lifts with queues and they are also used by the staff too We had a room for 3 people and had all set up for two people only, the room was dirty with hair in the shower and the ceiling. When I took the shower the pipe was blocked and the water started to leak to the bathroom… yes they sorted the problem quite quickly but still was not great experience There were no slippers and bathrobes. I asked for x3 slippers and they brought only one pair. I asked again and they brought only one pair again. On the third time they brought two pairs…. When I asked for 3!!! And still no bathrobes. We asked for additional blanket and it was in a random location after the room was cleaned. The room was cleaned badly on the next day we stayed. My pajamas was thrown elsewhere and I found it on the table, the towels we put on the floor to be replaced were fold dirty on the shelves… the blanket was in a random location and the cleaner did not pay any attention at all left the room dirty. Very disrespectful I felt that I had to beg for the things we are supposed to get in this kind of hotels. Shocking!!! Yes they compensated with a complimentary breakfast which was good but still the service was bad. They sent the cleaner and by the time she came we were already sleeping. And she did not speak any English … very disappointed Room 210, 26.10-28.10 2024

When you open the hotel window, you can see the castle, and below is Edinburgh's garden fountain. The room is very new and has complete facilities. It will feel a little far to drag your luggage back from Aibo Railway Station. There is another Premier Inn hotel slightly closer to the train station. But the unexpected bonus is that it is very close to the rural village of Dean, and it takes 10-13 minutes to walk there through navigation. Stayed 2 nights in total. Most of the guests here are local British citizens, and I have never met any Chinese.

Very good hotel with excenllent views. The buffet style full English/Scotish breakfast is so goooood after a hangover from the bar within the hotel which operates 24 hours (almost!!). I also stole beer from the tap while the bartender was away and he laught at it and did not cause any trouble although the bartender next told me that the previous night bartender should be treated with caution lol. Great location, just around the corner from the Royal Mile, and hop on hop off buses. We had a rental car and used the parking lot behind which is a bit of a walk with luggage for disabled persons, as no direct entry to hotel from the rear.  Breakfast is extra but was worth the £11.99 for us as we tend to snack during the day.

Great location for our trip to celebrate Hogmanay. You can’t get a better location for the festivities for the Princess street party. Traveling with a baby, they already had the cot in the room before we had arrived which was great. The staff were super kind and attentive at concierge and reception. Breakfast had a good selection if you a hot Scottish breakfast. Only downside was the parking which was a 5 min drive away ( we weren’t packing light!) Overall, solid experience

This hotel really left a very ”unforgettable” impression. The hotel seems to be a renovation of an old building. The environment is very crowded. Going to the room is a very difficult and winding road. It is very complicated... My friend's room is arranged on a different floor, but we have to take different elevators and climb the stairs with luggage to get to the elevator... There was no staff to assist in the whole process, and the elevator floor is also arranged very strangely... The room is OK, clean and hygienic, the bed is very small, and the lighting and decoration style are really hard to evaluate... The location is good, and the hotel breakfast is relatively average

The hotel location is very good, very close to Edinburgh Castle and Princes Street, it is a little far away from Royal Mile Street, but can be reached on foot, the town is very suitable for walking. The hotel implements unmanned management, and you can open the door and the room door yourself according to the password you check in. We are a family of 5 staying with children and living suites. The rooms are large and clean and well-equipped. You can cook your own meals. Tableware and pots are fully equipped (but I do n’t see a microwave). We are accustomed to the British diet. The house even provides equipment such as vacuum cleaners and washing machines, which is in line with our home habits. The price is slightly higher, but for the case of five of us, it is still a lot more cost-effective than booking two single rooms, especially it is really good to be able to cook by ourselves. In particular, we need to remind everyone that the hotel will send you an email 7 days and 1 day before the check-in, which will contain the room number and password for the check-in. If you booked on Ctrip, because they may have booked through other channels, the reserved mailbox is not ours, we cannot receive the mail, we must contact Ctrip customer service one day in advance, get this information, and then Can stay. Because the apartment is unmanned, it will be inconvenient to communicate if there is a temporary problem.

The staff were fantastic, from the minute we arrived till the minute we checked out. Nothing is an issue to them. The apartment was both modern and well equipped. I would definitely return, but would get a room on the 1st floor. As the lower rooms you can hear people above moving furniture etc. Not the company's fault, just inconsiderate guests that you can't choose!

Because my husband had knee surgery not long ago, when we booked on Ctrip, we saw that there was an elevator and booked it without hesitation. As a result, we were given a room on the underground first floor (about 3,000 RMB a day to stay on the underground first floor). The most important thing is that the elevator can't reach the underground first floor. Later, after negotiating with their front desk staff, we added 200 pounds a day to stay in another hotel of the same brand. Then we took a taxi to the other hotel by ourselves. The loss of money and the waste of time really made me give a bad review for the first time!!!

Advantages: 1) The location is very good, just on Princess Stree, not accessible from the train station and the castle; 2) The view outside the window is very good, facing the church, you can see Edinburgh Castle, the night view through the glass is quite good, you can refer to the scenery in the photo; 3) As a hotel apartment in the room, the kitchen equipment is basically complete, and friends who love to cook can use it with confidence; Disadvantages: 1) There is no Reception, there is any problem ~ can send email communication or call communication, we arrived at the hotel and found that the Access Code can not open the door to enter the room, ~ can call the office to communicate, customer service can also help you solve the problem on the phone, No one will be sent to the scene to solve it. Note ⚠️: Entering the first floor gate and the room, you need to enter the activation time of Access Code, Code at 3 pm on the day of check-in, and the expiration time is 11:00 am on the day of check-out. That is to say, you can't get in when you arrive at the hotel before 3 pm on the day of check-in. Because your Access Code is not activated, the input is invalid, and you can be obediently accompanying your beloved suitcase on the street. Check Out time is 11 am, and the cleaning staff will put the cleaning tool at the door of the room early, waiting for the moment you leave the room to clean up. 2) There is no elevator, it is really not easy to carry luggage upstairs, it is recommended that single ladies do not try unless there is no luggage. 3) The sound insulation is very poor. I stayed for two nights. There were no guests in the next room on the first night. I felt acceptable. I didn’t receive too much alarm at night. The next night, there were guests in the next room. They talked and opened the door. We can hear clearly on the footpath, and the sleepy little friends should have a psychological preparation. 4) The noise outside the window is very loud. The window of the room is facing the road, and the siren of the ambulance can be heard no less than ten times a night, and it is particularly harsh. In the evening, there will be a group of drunk people who are loudly ”showing their heart” downstairs, walking a wave, and coming again. No less than five waves a night. It didn't quiet down until 3 a.m. 5) Toothbrush and toothpaste are not provided in the room, and there are no disposable slippers. It is recommended that the friends who are going to stay bring their own.
