Hotel Maritur - Adults Only

Very pleasant stay with no issues! Hotel is a 10-15 min walk from the marina which was nice. Hotel nice and quiet. Breakfast was fine, cooked items made at time of order so its fresh. Nice selection of pastries and breads. Rooms are dated but are clean and tidy. Tv screens are tiny and hard to see from the other end of the room. Staff all friendly and welcoming. I'd stay here again!

Stayed here previously 4 or 5 years ago. As good as ever, very clean, great staff, comfy rooms and great breakfast. Location is about a km to the marina and another km to Albufeira. So close enough but well away from the bright lights so to speak.

We returned to Hotel Maritur after 18 months away. Not a lot had changed! The staff were still professional and friendly and we enjoyed the breakfasts. Remember to ask for a cooked breakfast if you want one! It is true that the place is looking a little dated but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is a pleasant 15-minute walk to the Marina and was our daily exercise, the walk back is steep so we mostly caught taxis back to the hotel.

We loved our stay here.our room wasn't ready as we were early but they organised another one for us straight away.The cleaners came in everyday .Comfy bed and nice big bathroom.Breakfast was amazing .cooked there and then for you.pizzas were great.we tried the fish dishes and the lamb at night which was very good.pasta dishes were OK.The bar and restaurant staff were fantastic so friendly.They make a good jug of sangria and a pina colada! The pool area was lovely and peaceful but pool a bit chilly.we didn't bother with the indoor pool.A 10 minute walk down to a lovely secluded beach with an amazing fish restaurant. You have to try it .some lovely views.The marina isn't too far a walk away and about another 20 minutes is the old town.we walked there and back but it is a wee bit steep .thanks for a great time we hope to come back some time.

Lovely hotel , staff so friendly especially the lady who done the eggs at breakfast, nice location about 20 min walk to the Marina & 45 min to the old town & large beach , don't use local cash machines big rip off

The hotel is just outside the main Albufeira area but is located close to numerous beaches. Breakfast is adequate. In defence of the hotel I’d say we travelled outside the main season, nevertheless, areas particularly the gardens and pool area are in need of some attention as are the rooms whilst clean are very dated. Special mention to the staff who are really nice.

Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. The rooms are spacious. Ours had a sea view which was really something else. Two glorious beaches are nearby. Breakfast was varied and really lovely. The pool was lovely..chilly but hey, to be expected. Now for the downside….there are building works being carried out opposite the hotel. We were pre warned that they may be ‘some’ noise. But this starts from 7am til 7pm….every day apart from weekends. There is also work being carried out to the left of the hotel which is also on weekends…. Would love to say the noise was minimal. But it really wasn’t. Thank heaven for ear buds! The sun beds are pretty worn out…! Not the hotels fault but the guests staying here were SO territorial about them. I heard one set of people running me and my husband down for ‘stealing’ the sun beds off another couple…..really…..?!?! They were empty at 3pm so we had the audacity to lie on them….They then proceeded to get up early to claim them back with towels, reclaiming their territory…we laughed about it. Pathetic really. Anyway, I’d recommend the hotel, aside from the building works and rubbish sun beds. It’s lovely. Really….

My husband and I have just returned from a week here. It was booked at short notice due to our holiday in Rhodes being cancelled. The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful,. The ,(outdoor), pool was nice and the aqua bar a nice touch.. Our room was good, the marble bathroom was good, but a chrome showerhead would have looked better than plastic over the bath. Towels are changed when you put them on the bath tub. There is a beautiful, small local beach and cove close by. There was a kettle and two paper cups in the room but no milk, tea or coffee. We have never been to a hotel without this, as even a Travelodge supplies this,( and with ceramic cups too,). The mini market in the hotel was very expensive, €7.70 for 10 sachets of cappuccino. We were half board. Breakfast was fine, a buffet and a set amount cooked breakfast , cooked to order. The evening meal was basic, limited and poorly presented,( not the way you would expect a professional chef in a four star hotel to present it) , with items often unavailable; sliced bread used for garlic, cheese bread and often boiled rice and peas. Deserts were limited and unappetising. I look forward to good food on holiday as it takes long enough to save up for. If you just want bed and breakfast this is fine and we got the impression that it is geared towards this. We used Uber taxis to go out as nowhere near anywhere. A good trip to go on is a boat trip from the marina,( 20-25 mins away downhill). You can't guarantee to see dolphins,( but we did), do the boat trip for the stunning caves and coves. You need to pay a cash deposit for pool towels, but they happily on request and the safe which you get back at the end. If it had been possible to give a 2.5 rating I would have.

This hotel was great, Our experience from start to finish was fantastic. We arrived late and the restaurant made us some food which was very appreciated. The breakfast was a good selection of foods and yes the toaster needs replacing but the food was wonderful. The room was spacious and clean with good showers and views. The best thing about this hotel is the staff they are friendly, helpful and lovely people. They made our stay extra special
