I loved my stay at The Delphi! The staff were so nice and gave me a drink voucher in exchange for some booking mishap on Trip.com. The breakfast was delicious and dining area so lovely for a slow morning start or winding down with a drink. I stayed in 3 properties during my solo trip to The Netherlands and The Delphi was my favourite, glad I splurged a little. Not within the main city centre but the tram line is less than 5 mins walk in a nice, safe residential area; only 15 minutes from Schipol airport on metro and tram; around 15 mins walk to Museumplein. The room was nice and clean, had a great sleep. A nice B&B style hotel, would also recommend for a short getaway or weekend trip for couples or with girlfriends. Would definitely stay again!

Great
DDulaaActually, I will talk about the negatives before the positives; When we arrived, I was shocked by the poor service there. First, they did not have cash when I arrived at the hotel with a taxi driver and I did not have the fare (change), so I had to spend fifty euros, but I was surprised that they did not have any exchange cash at hotel . Second, they did not have an assistant to carry the bags, so the bags were many and large, and I could not carry them alone, while I am a female and I cannot carry them. Third, they wanted us to stay on the third floor overlooking another building, but we refused because we wanted a higher floor. Their excuse was that the hotel was fully booked by residents and there were no rooms on the seventh or sixth floor. Also the cover sheet of bed had not changed since we had arrived. (Also there is something important to mention at last day we could not find a bolt or uber because maybe the location was a little bit far). But we had to speak to the hotel manager, who fixed all problems, he is a young East Asian man. Honestly, he was a good and understanding person, and he spoke politely. He apologized and upgraded us and helped us carry the bags. He deserves thanks and respect and apprecite
MMrtyConvenient location, just a short walk from the train station with a nearby convenience store. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and there’s a small kitchen for cooking.
However, no indoor slippers, shower cap, or cotton buds provided. The area is quiet - not many restaurants around. Good option if you prefer a peaceful stay near the station.
JJasonRight opposite overamstel metro station which was very convenient. Water fountain facilities available. Very accommodating staff.
They even had a Taylor Swift booth with bracelet making which was a nice touch with the ongoing Eras Tour
AAround&AboutStayed one night in a compact room and it was well different from the pictures they have on their website (room with a big window and natural light). Our room was pitch dark and the ventilation wasn't properly working and very noisy. The restaurant hotel is good but a bit overpriced. There aren't many comfortable common areas if not in the restaurant itself. The concept itself of turning an old church into a hotel is interesting but I wouldnt stay more than just one night.
GGuest UserThe hotel is centrally located, very convinient since I need to use metro to my go for my son's tournament
Then, there is another plus point, there is flixbus station whereby we manage to do a day trip to brussels
There are variety of food places nearby
Breakfast is basic
The rooms are cleaned daily with supply of fresh towel
Will definitely stay here if I happened to come back to Amsterdam
Thanks
HHannahTerceroI had a very lovely overnight stay at ClinkNOORD. It was a last-minute trip so I was happy that they still had rooms available at a very affordable price. The location is really convenient. The breakfast was overall great.
All the staff were friendly and helpful, and super big thanks to Ms. Nhalie and Ms. Lorna for assisting me when I arrived and making everything so easy. I wasn't sure what to expect coz it's my first time booking a hostel in Europe but this experience made me feel safe and will definitely trust hostels more after this!
GGuest UserThe lobby of the Amsterdam Library Hotel is really the layout of the library, and the smell of books is strong when you enter the door.
Less than 10 minutes from the central railway station, go left at the main entrance of the train station, cross the tram, walk along the road, there is a bus station at the entrance of the hotel, it is easy to find. The 24-hour front desk, the waiter is very enthusiastic, will tell you in detail where to go, live here safely and comfortably.
GGuest UserLocation: it's a great location because it's only a less than 10 minute walk from the Amsterdam Central station. It's so convenient. But the hostel entrance/reception is located inside a pub/restaurant. Personally I have no problem with this. I just find this interesting. There was also a security-looking guy standing at the entrance at night every day too, so it was pretty safe.
Cleanliness: it was very clean. Every day someone took out the trash and cleaned the bathroom for us, which I didn't expect. They gave us a new, clean towel every day too. I really like these things about the hostel.
Service: It depends on who you meet. The ladies that I talked to were all friendly and helpful. But there was a guy that was rather unhelpful and rude. I asked, ”Do you have data sim cards?” He said, ”No, we don't provide for that.” (Of course I knew the hostel didn't provide sim cards for free; I was asking if the hostel *sells* sim cards.) I asked, ”Do you know where I can get one? I can't get on the internet with the hostel wifi.” He said, ”There's no problem with the hostel wifi, otherwise a lot of people would be complaining about it.” (I wasn't complaining about the hostel wifi wasn't working; I was asking if he knew where I could get a sim card since I couldn't get on the internet to look for them.)
Facilities: I like that there was a curtain on each bed. The bed and the room were also spacious enough. The windows were almost soundproof, isolating all the noises from the people drinking downstairs. The bathroom was also very clean. The only thing I didn't like was that there were brown stains on the blanket, which looked disgusting. There was also space for luggages (it's on the 2nd floor) if you don't want to store them in your room. There was, however, no kitchen or common areas. But the room was big enough and had a table. It was ok for me.
One thing I really didn't like were the people who stayed in my room. All of them were obnoxious: wouldn't clean up after using the bathroom (hair everywhere), leaving their stuff in the bathroom/on the table so others couldn't use the space/table, kept coughing all night (meaning they were sick) and wouldn't open the windows for ventilation. I hardly had a good night's sleep because they kept coughing at night. But this wasn't the hostel's fault. It's those people's problems.
All in all, I recommend staying at this hotel.
TT. ÇınarIt was a fascinating 3-day-journey. I really liked the hotel and the staff… They welcome you at the reception with a kind big smile. They gave two magnets while check-in and 3 key rings while checking out as presents.
Hotel’s location is very close (7-8 mins on food) to Sloterdijk Station which you can have access to train, metro, tram, public and international bus.
The room was clean. They changed the towels and cleaned the room on the second day. The bed was so comfortable and big enough. There was also a microwave oven, fridge, kettle and coffee/tea bags…
The only missing things are air condition and hair dryer.. there was a fan which works but seems mot enough to cool down the room.
If I come to Amsterdam one more time, I will stay there again.
LloreleikvltWe had been really concerned after pre paying this hotel then reading bad reviews that had us convinced we would need to wear plastic suits the entire visit,, so I thought I'd give my review based around the concerns we had read, to try and be helpful ! some of the things were true , the sheets did come off the bed on mine but I wiggle but my friends both stayed on their beds. super annoying but I just slid it back on and you can always throw your cover over it instead and ask for another . Fortunately we didn't come across the bed bugs people mentioned !, the cat seemed happy and not flea ridden.. however the room was clean enough , no obvious mould. The beds were comfortable enough. The bathroom was clean and quite nice
It wasn't huge but had ample.space for our things in the triple person room .
It's an old building with narrow windy stairs I'm glad the elevator worked. it's not a relax and sit in all day hotel..it's a place to sleep , shower ...charge your phone and keep your belongings.
The coffee machine was fine as far as basic goes.
The staff were fine
There was a fifty euro deposit on the desk, we just asked for a receipt after other things mentioned in reviews and were given a written one with no problem on leaving . We were offered one free housekeeping day as we stayed 4 nights but opted not to use it due to theft mentioned in reviews..
We stayed at the main hotel so I don't know if all the bad reviews were from the other or we just got lucky with our room but we had no problems, and when I went rustling down before hours looking for coffee the guy did help me before reception opened.
It's no paradise of a place , there are marks on the walls but faint...if you're fussy it's not the place for you but for the price and location, we really didn't mind it . It's a super great location as a base with a trendy area behind it
And a really cool vegan restaurant a tiny walk away a pub downstairs and metro train a stone's throw away
If you have the option to pay on arrival ask to see.your room first.you could take that route
Just to be safe, but all up it was fine..3 women travelling together there was no unsafe feeling there .
We didn't find it noisy.
