This hotel is full of holes. I booked a king-size bed room with river view for 7,480 for two nights. I paid another 858 when I arrived at the hotel, which is more than 4,000 for one night. But the air conditioner in the room I got was broken. Because it was winter and I couldn't live without heating, I asked the hotel if I could change rooms. The hotel said they were fully occupied. If I wanted to change rooms or upgrade, I would need to pay extra. After communicating for almost two hours, the hotel said they could arrange a room for me for free, so we moved to another room. However, when I finally checked out, she said that only the first night was free, and I was charged 170 euros for the upgrade on the second night. Check-out was in the morning and the front desk said he didn't understand the situation and asked me to pay first and wait for the manager to get back to me at work. But the money was deducted and they still haven’t responded to me to this day!

Staying at InterContinental Amsterdam is the best choice for our trip to the Netherlands. The hotel is a century-old building, close to the Amsterdam canal. European royal style, Queen Elizabeth once stayed. Miss Julie at the front desk has a warm smile and enthusiastic service. Have breakfast at a Michelin restaurant, buffet & order. The welcome drink for InterContinental members is enjoyed in the hotel bar, which is very attentive. I was lucky enough to experience High tea in the hotel. There is champagne, and each meal is paired with a different variety of tea, which is very luxurious. I am looking forward to staying at InterContinental again next time I come to Amsterdam...
