Hotel is in forest area 25 km from center of Rome and having many rooms (around 60 ). We liked the space they have outside-taking fresh air and walk around. Rooms are comfort and normal space as needed. Personnel were very friendly and helping for anything needed ,Sabrina &Annalisa served us. Breakfast is typically italian ( sweety dishes) only cheese&ham is salty. Be careful if you ask for other things you could be charged(i.e eggs ). Ask well before ordering. Price of the room in respect to distance from Rome is ok, 120 eur for triple. Take a visit to lake Albano, 10 min close to the hotel

I chose this hotel because we needed a place to stay for just one night before an early morning flight out of Fiumicino after our time in Tuscany (It is an easy 35-minute drive to the airport on Sunday morning), but I wish we could have stayed longer! The staff was so friendly on check-in and told us that we were welcome to explore the public areas of the villa, which are covered with beautiful paintings and frescos. They provided us with a write-up on the very interesting history of the Villa. Our rooms (we booked two for our family) were very clean and good-sized, with comfortable beds. Yes, the wifi was spotty, and the rooms could use a little updating in terms of things like outlets), but they really had everything we needed and the charm of the place makes up for those things. One room had a beautiful view of Rome, especially at night! We also ate dinner in the hotel's elegant restaurant and it was a perfect last meal before we left Italy. The service was wonderful, prosecco was flowing freely, and the food was delicious!

I stayed 4 nights in the Raffaello suite with my family. The hotel is beautiful, in the super central area in the historic centre of Castel Gandolfo. The suite is located on 2 floors with a fabulous terrace on the lake Alban, a large bathroom with well 2 showers, a huge TV and comfortable beds. We were very well, except for some things that do not give me the maximum vote: a time relating to a kind of constant noise, day and night, which was felt from the room. I don't know whether it was generated from the heating plant or what, it is that every 2-3 minutes started a sound that lasts about 5 seconds to stop and repartite in loop. For me, who have very light sleep, it was always a problem to sleep, not for my wife and daughter; the second thing, and here we all agreed: breakfast. Abbiamo acquistato un pacchetto unico formula hotel + parco divertimento (zoomarine) e l’hotel president ci è stato indicato come scelta obbligata. L’hotel si presenta come una struttura con l’arredamento datato; le camere, dotate di aria condizionata, sono poco spaziose anche se pulite. Il frigobar non rinfrescava a sufficienza. Lascia a desiderare l’assenza di prese elettriche in prossimità dei comodini da poter utilizzare Per la ricarica di telefoni cellulari, ormai una necessità per chiunque possegga uno smartphone. Nel bagno la presa elettrica destinata al phon di proprietà dell’ospite risultava quasi distaccata dalla parete. Particolarmente scomoda la doccia essendo presente una vasca con doccetta che a stento arriva alla parete per poter essere fissata. La colazione, almeno nella nostra formula, non era inclusa ed è stata acquistata a parte ma è stata piacevole, ben organizzata, ricca di prodotti di buona qualità. Il prezzo pagato nel pacchetto (sicuramente incrementato dalla formula proposta dal parco divertimento) è assolutamente sproporzionato per la struttura. Receptionist gentilissima e personale cortese e professionale. Comodissimo il parcheggio disponibile presso la struttura. La proprietà dovrebbe investire in un ammodernamento sostanziale per rendere l’hotel all’altezza delle quattro stelle.

Tatty, grubby common areas with dirty carpets and peeling wallpaper. The path down to the lake is too overgrown to get down there. Entrance is through a disused bar then some little rooms with mismatched old furniture to a small lobby area. Man behind the desk seemed surprised to see guests and gave us a key with no explanation as to where the room was or any other information. Room was spacious and clean but very old fashioned - we had a view of the lake which we had to pay 20 euros extra for on top of the 120 euro room rate which was way too high for the standard - it was the most expensive overnight stop of our 5 week tour and was the worst. Small flat pillow each and poor sound insulation which meant we were kept awake until 330 am by an elderly resident's radio. The restaurant was the best part of the stay - it is in a glass area overlooking the lake and is modern and contemporary. The food was amazing - really high standard but was spoilt by the total lack of ambience as we were the only ones dining apart from 2 elderly residents who stayed for a short time. Also the service was glacial. We were the first people in the restaurant and it took 75 mins for our first course and another hour for the other two courses. It is a shame that such a talented chef is working somewhere where he cannot be appreciated. This place could be amazing with its proximity to Rome, its food and position.

Beautiful location, very friendly staff, comfortable and clean bedrooms. Very good restaurant. A fabulous place suitable for regeneration of mind and physical. Most advisable for families with children and for those looking for a quiet and elegant place
