This is a very cost-effective hotel and highly recommended. The location is a bit off, suitable for self-driving, of course, you can go shopping in Metzingen, only 10 kilometers away from outlets. The breakfast is OK, the hardware is OK, the service is OK, the balcony of the room has a wide view, and the autumn forest is very beautiful! I want to stay one more night and there is no room!

I was at a bike weekend there, including dinner in my own restaurant. Freshly renovated room, rather modern, the facility otherwise - suitable for the outdoor rather conservative bourgeois. Careful us consistently. The operator pair cares great (I came in the day of arrival actually too late for dinner) these joy of the dressing of guests you note the whole atmosphere of the house. Kitchen: regionally characterized but innovariv. Simplely genial! I certainly don't know what the last time here! Bicycles can be included in a small courtyard where they hold under the open sky.

Bad Urach is located at the foot of the Swabian Alps. The small town escaped serious damage during any wars and so remains in excellent historical condition. Our relatively spacious room was practically decorated and furnished, with a good double bed, desk & chair, fridge, wardrobe & safe, flat screen TV, and a small private bathroom with washbasin, toilet and shower. All was spotlessly clean. No coffee & tea facility in the room. At €90 a night including breakfast, the hotel is slightly overpriced. We came on a weekday in Omicron January and were the only guests. The buffet breakfast is OK with ample variety and is served from 08:00 to 10:00. We had a balcony with a view of the neighbourhood and the nearby hills. With an open door you hear the traffic of the B465 road. Free internet and parking in front of the door. We recommend Gästehaus Walter to anyone who seeks a good night’s sleep and who appreciates visiting a charming Swabian historical town with a nice spa: the Alb-Thermen.
