Li County Hotels with Balcony

This is a Tang Dynasty-style guesthouse hidden deep in the village of Gulgou. It's about a 20-minute drive from Gulgou town. We arrived late at night in the dark, and the owner came down from the roadside to help us with our luggage. The guesthouse is built into the mountainside, so there are steps leading up and down, which can be a bit tiring. However, the view is absolutely stunning. Opening the windows and doors, you can see the distant colorful forests and snow-capped mountains, completely unobstructed. Every detail in the rooms is exquisite and refined. The carpets, stools, beds, washbasins, etc., were all carefully designed by the owner and handcrafted by artisans. They are truly unique and cannot be replicated. In the evening, we warmed ourselves by burning firewood in the fireplace. Sitting around the coffee table on the carpet, drinking tea and wine, we weren't cold at all. We chatted for a long time, sharing our views on Tang Dynasty history and modern society. The owner was very knowledgeable, and we listened attentively. At night, with the electric blankets on, we weren't cold either. The guesthouse is quiet, far from the hustle and bustle. We slept in until we naturally woke up in the morning. Breakfast was simple: sweet potato porridge, eggs, shumai, pickled vegetables, etc. It wasn't fancy, but it felt very much like ordinary rural life. We only stayed one day, but I must say, it's worth staying longer to experience a different way of life.

Best stay ever ! If I would come Bipenggou, I will stay at this homestay again. The uncle & aunty are super friendly that make you feel so warm. There is a dog, I think the name is Kangbao. Super friendly dog, welcoming you from the dog the moment you arrived the hotel. The room is exactly the same as advertised. They will provide you disposable towel and amenities. Best part, you can have xiao du (smart home) to control the curtain and probably lights (we only tried with the curtain). Morning breakfast was super delicious even though is simple. It taste so homely. You won't regret staying here. It is located 30mins away from Bipenggou entrance but it is a town area where you can explore.

I was very satisfied with my choice of hotel for this trip. The hotel is conveniently located near the scenic area, making it easy to access by car, and there's plenty of parking. The room was very clean, well-equipped, and had good soundproofing, so it was quiet at night. The hotel itself is built into the mountainside, offering great views, and the public areas are perfect for relaxing with a cup of tea. The front desk staff were very attentive, making check-in and check-out smooth, and they even offered sightseeing recommendations. Overall, it's great value for money, and I highly recommend it for anyone visiting the area.

The environment is excellent, with an authentic ******* vibe. The infinity hot spring offers a first-class experience, and the water quality is wonderfully comfortable. The room is clean with no strange odors, and the facilities are complete. There's also a laundry room, and the underground parking is very convenient, complete with charging stations. The butler service is warm and attentive, and the food and accommodation quality are top-notch. It’s an absolutely fantastic place for a summer getaway and relaxation, highly recommended! The food is also great, especially the cold dishes—a must-try!

I arrived late that night, and most of the surrounding hotels were fully booked. This was a B&B, and the decor felt quite new. It had a smart home system throughout, with a smart toilet in the room, underfloor heating, and central heating. The hotel offered free parking, a children's play area, and a hot spring, though the hot spring closed around 10:30 PM. The front desk also provided complimentary fruit and self-service tea, as well as free disposable toiletries. The facilities are comparable to those of a mid-to-high-end chain hotel. Breakfast was available, and while the variety wasn't extensive, there were noodles, congee, buns, and dumplings – enough to fill you up. Overall, the service was excellent. The only minor drawback was the cleanliness; it wasn't quite up to par. The remote control holder was dusty, and there was dust on the tables. Improving the cleanliness would make it absolutely perfect.

Service: We arrived in Li County from Chengdu on Saturday afternoon, after 9 pm, past dinner time. But!! We brought our own food and asked the owner to cook it for us. The owner cooked it for free and even delivered it to our room! They were incredibly warm and patient! Environment: I was very satisfied with the environment. It was a small wooden cabin with a courtyard, with varying elevations. The soundproofing and privacy were excellent. The courtyard was well-maintained by the owner; it was beautiful and quiet. At night, I could hear the raindrops falling on the eaves, a gentle patter, and nothing else. I had a rare good night's sleep.

Great location, new and clean facilities, and a super comfy bed with a heated blanket under the bed sheet so no more dry air from a heater. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The highlight was definitely the toilet — the best I’ve seen in China, with a warm seat! Will definitely come back and highly recommend this place. 👍

Stayed here for 2 nights. Overall, a very pleasant experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Staff were friendly and quick to assist with requests. The location was convenient, near to Bipenggou entrance park. The only downside was hard to find halal food nearby. I would stay here again and recommend it for short stays.

This was honestly my favorite hotel from my whole trip to China. The whole place has this really cool ******* vibe—the architecture, the decorations, everything felt authentic and unique. Not your typical generic hotel at all. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was great. Best part? It was super budget-friendly. Really affordable for the quality and charm. Only downside is the location—about 20 minutes from the Bipenggou ticket area. Not terrible, but you'll need to factor in travel time if you're heading there early. Overall, really loved it. Great atmosphere, good price, and a memorable stay. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

Not many tourists when I visited. The front desk lady kindly upgraded my room for free. The hot spring area was really nice. Unfortunately, it was raining, so I didn't get to go to the rooftop infinity pool. The hotel views are also beautiful; every photo you take turns out great.
