"I could write a thousand words complaining about this hotel. Honestly, besides the great location right across from the train station, it has absolutely no redeeming qualities, haha. But seriously, the service and hygiene were terrible. We booked a twin room, and when we arrived, they just told us they were out and we'd have to take a double. Then, the shower water kept fluctuating between hot and cold, and it would constantly flood – even changing rooms didn't help. The room was tiny, and the bathroom had a persistent sewage smell. There was zero service to speak of. Avoid this place at all costs! Milan itself is really dirty and chaotic; I honestly wouldn't recommend coming unless you absolutely have to depart from here. The night view during the Winter Olympics was the only thing remotely worth seeing."

GGuest UserCalimala is a new hotel, opened in July 2025. The room is very well designed, same as the reception area. One can park the car just opposite the hotel, quite convenient though the parking fee of 41euro is quite high! Breakfast and bar/swimming pool are set on the 2 top floors so that guests can enjoy the view and outdoor, a smart consideration indeed.

SsweetshoiraOur stay at the Lancaster Hotel in Milan was absolutely wonderful, thanks to the exceptional service and thoughtful gestures from the staff. We had a special request for an early check-in and a late check-out due to our travel schedule, and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. This kind of flexibility and understanding made our trip so much more comfortable, and we truly appreciated their kindness. The staff at the front desk was a gem! The breakfast at the hotel was another highlight of our stay. It was far beyond the standard continental breakfast—there was a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to choose from, catering to all our morning needs. The cappuccino was particularly delightful, and the staff serving breakfast were always smiling, polite, and attentive. It’s rare to encounter such genuine hospitality these days, and it made our mornings even more enjoyable. Overall, the Lancaster Hotel exceeded our expectations. The combination of comfortable accommodations, excellent service, and thoughtful touches made our stay memorable. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Milan and look forward to staying here again in the future!

GGuest User⭐⭐ 2/5 Mixed experience – good location and kind female staff, but very disappointing room and service from both male staff. We stayed here during our trip to Milan. The hotel’s location is great, close to the Duomo and the train station and the room size was quite decent. The female staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which we truly appreciated. However, our overall experience was disappointing. When we first checked in, our room had a strong smell of urine. We informed the male staff, Lorenzo, who initially seemed helpful, but after we asked to change rooms, he started to show signs of annoyance. Instead of changing our room right away, he asked another young male staff member to spray air freshener. Unfortunately, the freshener mixed with the smell only made things worse and gave us a bad headache. When we went back to the reception to request a room change again, Lorenzo became even more irritated and said we should have told him earlier — even though we already did. He then gave us a bottle of freshener to use for that night, but it didn’t help at all. By that time, there were no rooms left to move to, so we had to spend the night in the same smelly room. On top of that, the toilet bowl wasn’t properly cleaned and still had stains, which was very unpleasant. We would have given 1 star, but we added another star for the spacious room, convenient location, and the polite and kind female staff members. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t stay here again.

GGuest UserComfortable, modern, clean, helpful staff, EXTREMELY convenient location next to Milano Centrale train/metro/bus station. Several great bakeries and restaurants within two or three blocks, like Osteria Papà Nicola, Nico Quick Bite (next door), Caffè Pascucci, Ristorante da Gigi, Crazy Cat Cafe (meet their 9 cats), and Caffè Napoli (most amazingly soft and delicious filled croissants ever). 5 min walk to the shopping on Corso Buenos Aires. Highly recommended.

AAnonymous UserI stayed at the Scarlatti Hotel Milano and was very satisfied. The rooms are modern, very new, and particularly spacious. I especially appreciated the large shower and the very comfortable bed, which made the stay very pleasant. Check-in and check-out were quick and efficient, with no waiting time. Another great advantage is the location: the hotel is in a very convenient area, just a few minutes' walk from the station, ideal for both business and leisure travelers. An excellent experience in every aspect. I will definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and efficient service in Milan.

KKarn zhuGreat spot for a solo trip, though it was over 200 for a bed due to the Winter Olympics. Note that it's just a bed, no toiletries are provided. There's a small restaurant at the front desk with a lovely atmosphere where locals gather and chat. The transportation is decent; it's about a 15-minute walk from Bovisa station on the airport line, or you can take a direct bus to Milan Central Station.

GGuest UserThis hotel was perfect location for city travel like metro central station ect which was excellent for me and my son for travel to and from linate airport 21 mins away on the bus metro line was easy to get to duomo and the train station was 4 mins walk. The hotel room was clean but very basic no kettle or tea and coffee had to buy at the reception every night I feel should have been included in the price for what I paid :( the reviews said staff was friendly only one member of staff was friendly the others couldn’t be bothered especially when I wanted my tea at night they huffed and puffed. Considering you’re paying for it aswell and the cafeteria is actually very small and always empty so shouldn’t have been a hassle for them but I feel like it was. The cleaner was absolutely lovely cleaned my room on the second day and offered to clean again the next day. Overall the location was perfect but the hotel was very basic quiet and felt quite lonely there no vibe just very sad and basic. I should have booked hotel surrounding areas but my reason for coming here was that a lot of people said they where friendly but I didn’t feel that the place was dead tbh apart from one member of staff he keeps that place going with his happy personality but he isn’t there all the time.

AAnonymous UserThe room itself was clean and quite minimalistic. Housekeeping deserves credit: the room was cleaned every day, towels were changed regularly, and the bathroom was kept tidy. In terms of cleanliness, there were no complaints at all. However, the bathroom layout is a serious downside. The shower is extremely narrow, and because it only has a shower curtain instead of a rigid door, it is very uncomfortable to use. The curtain constantly sticks to your wet body, which makes showering frustrating rather than relaxing. On top of that, the water pressure is below average, so it takes longer to rinse off and doesn’t feel very refreshing. Another major issue was the temperature in the room. Even with the heating turned on, it was very cold, especially in the evenings and at night. This significantly affected comfort and made the stay less pleasant, particularly during colder weather. The room itself is quite small and basic, but acceptable for a short stay if you don’t plan to spend much time inside. The furnishings are simple, and everything feels a bit outdated, though functional. In summary, this hotel might be suitable for a short budget stay in Milan if cleanliness is your main priority. However, the very narrow shower with an inconvenient curtain, low water pressure, and poor heating make it hard to fully recommend. Also not every stuff speaks English well

AAlexandraSGreat service, they deserve one more start at least. The receptionist guy was very friendly and kind and even helped me with my luggage. The bedroom was a good size, quite modern actually. They had coffee and some biscoff cookies for us. It’s in a central area, very close to the centrale station! Overall, a good stay! Wish I took better photos!
