George Town Hotels with Balcony

There is a little bit of dust on the floor. The apartment has 2 bedrooms. But one of them do not have any window. It will be good if there is a window for the other room. Wonderful view from the main room. There is a beautiful sunset everyday from the main bedroom and balcony. The host is attentive eg. there are a variety of tv shows/retro games/board games in the room. Location is wonderful with many eating places nearby. It will be good if there are 2 access cards.

I had an excellent stay at G Hotel Gurney in the Executive Suite. The suite was spacious, modern, and beautifully maintained, with a comfortable bed and a great view. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Penang. The hotel’s location is fantastic, right next to Gurney Plaza and within walking distance of many popular eateries. The staff were professional, friendly, and always willing to assist, making the entire stay even more enjoyable. The Executive Lounge was a great addition, offering a quiet and comfortable space to unwind with complimentary refreshments. Breakfast was also excellent, with a wide selection of local and international dishes. Overall, everything from the room quality to the service exceeded my expectations. I would definitely choose G Hotel Gurney again on my next visit to Penang and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay.

Hi. Thank you for hosting us. It was really a wonderful stay. I am especially surprised and warmed by your hospitality. I traveled with 4 young kids (all boys), my elderly mother and my wife. We don't commonly travel because it's always a concern to us, how to make time and space for everybody. But. This time, things are alright and it turned out to be a very smooth and comfortable stay. The place is spacious and just nice for all the 4 kids to roam. The view outside is astonishing and the unit is directly facing east. In the morning, I could actually catch a glimpse of the sunrise. It really makes me understand by sudden, why Penang is named as the jewel of the east. Ya. It was a perfect morning for me then. The room upstairs is specially designed for the kids with warm colours, clean bedsheets, blankets and soft pillows. It's so comfortable, and my kids refuse to leave the room. To my surprise, inside the drawer besides the bed, there are very nice story books for the young minds. Not to mention, the huge TV screen in front of the bed and an even bigger one, downstairs in the living hall.. Ya, there is always something for every different age.. btw, I brought along 2 young minds who are 3 and 5 years old, they had wonderful nights and sound sleep. Ya, it's for those traveling with very young ones, or even the old ones. Ya, the old speaker works really well (with the high ceiling of the living room), when playing a nice morning piano music in the early morning, it's so calm, clear and crisp, and looking out of the window and the vast blue sea. You can temporarily forget about the hassles of life. Thank you again. 👍 Thumbs up

The entire hotel features British colonial-style architecture, with very spacious and well-designed rooms. However, the service was perfunctory. During my three-day stay, despite frequent comings and goings, the doormen were rarely at the entrance. Even when they were, they generally didn't bother to open the door and looked expressionless. I believe this falls short of the service standards expected from a hotel of this price point. The turndown service was also a disaster; the duvet was wrinkled, the slippers weren't properly placed, and my charging cable was simply tossed onto the bed. Housekeeping was also very poor. On the second day, the toothbrush wasn't neatly arranged but rather haphazardly placed on the vanity. However, the housekeeping staff on the third day did a proper job of organizing the countertop. The toothbrush provided was a cheap, hard, brittle plastic one, typical of a budget guesthouse, and very unpleasant to use. Other amenities were acceptable. Overall, the hotel's biggest selling points are likely its scenery, historical significance, and location. Don't expect much from the service.

The room was clean and the host was friendly and accommodating. The space was very nice and sufficient for families with young children as well. The aircon was not too cold need to improve on that since the space is big and the windows are huge and direct sunlight comes in overall comfortable stay thankful for ZUS below the estate itself.

The room was very spacious, likely an apartment converted into a hotel. Not only was there a large bed, but also a separate walk-in closet and a kitchen. The window offered a partial sea view, and the bathroom was huge with a separate wet and dry area. The facilities were excellent, including an infinity pool, a gym, and a yoga studio. The gym had treadmills, dumbbells, elliptical machines, etc., sufficient for basic fitness needs.

This hotel is centrally located in George Town, named after the city's famous architecture. Many tourists stop by to take photos at its entrance. It's not far from major attractions and must-try eateries. The facilities are new, hygiene is excellent, and the rooms are spacious. The pool design is unique. The staff are enthusiastic, and the hotel also does a great job showcasing and introducing the city's history and Peranakan culture. Highly recommended!

The day before your arrival, the room service will message you about key collection. Just show your check-in confirmation to the security guard downstairs, ask them to open the door, and grab your key from the left. Customer service will send you a comprehensive document; make sure to read it carefully, as it's very well-organized. The building is disinfected daily, and the elevators are kept clean. There's a Starbucks and a convenience store right downstairs. I was on the 22nd floor, and the noise wasn't too noticeable. The view was also quite good, and the room rate was incredibly reasonable—much better than what I experienced in Guangzhou. Unless you're staying in a high-end four or five-star hotel, I'd definitely recommend this type of serviced apartment for travel. If you're considering guesthouses in George Town and have high expectations for your accommodation, I wouldn't really suggest them. The motorcycle noise there is beyond imagination, and since it's a heritage area, their sewage system is quite old. However, if you're not particular, it can offer a unique charm. Overall, everything was great. The residents here are very friendly, and I never had to wait long for the elevator, contrary to what some online reviews mentioned. My longest wait was never more than 30 seconds. A local driver told me that this is a newer area, so the location isn't ideal for tourists if you want to walk everywhere; you'll need to take a taxi unless you're driving. But I personally found it quite good. If you plan on exploring, you'll need to taxi to George Town daily, which is usually about a 15-minute ride, so that's a bit of a downside. Otherwise, I'd choose this type of travel accommodation over a four or five-star beachfront hotel. I had a spacious apartment all to myself, which was fantastic. These are all my thoughts, and I hope they help with your decision.

Room was very standard with a small private bathroom but it was clean. There was a smell of dampness when the aircon was initially turned on. Walls are paper thin and you can hear every little noise from outside the room and from other people’s rooms. Also the pipes are really loud and kept us awake at night. The location is ideal right in the centre and walking distance from the main attractions. Despite the paper thin walls it wasn’t a bad stay.

NO RECOMMEND! 1. Fan and aircond in the living room are very old. 2. Fan and aircond in the second room also quite old. 3&4 Blanket already torn but still provided for us to use. 5.First toilet got two shampoos, second toilet got one shampoo and one shower gel — how to wash body? Need to share or use shampoo as body wash. 6.Second toilet shower pipe leaking when using. 7. Washing machine cannot be used from third day. They said will come to fix, but need to wait long — end up have to bring clothes home to wash, LOL. 8. Saw baby cockroach inside the unit. 9. Power plug in the room is loose. 10.Toilet and room got no good smell. Also this, Not sure if you believe this — my cousin can see ghost. At night or sometimes in midnight, all of us smelled “bunga melati” (jasmine) scent. My cousin, who slept in bedroom 1, heard someone knocking the window loudly. After that, she slept in the living room instead. The smell came again, sometimes very strong and badly — all of us in the kitchen and living room could smell it. Quite creepy! Maybe because house besides the Hospital!
