Ah, Baltimore, a city of rich history and eclectic charm. My wife and I recently had the pleasure of a stay at the Hotel Ulysses, a luxurious retreat nestled in the heart of this vibrant city. True to the reputation of the New York-based design firm, Ash, the Ulysses is nothing short of an architectural marvel. The first thing that catches your eye? The hotel's impeccable aesthetic. It's a masterful blend of old-world charm and modern design, encapsulating the very essence of Baltimore's diverse character. While the rooms might have been a tad on the cozier side, they more than made up for it with their plush comfort and attention to detail. The Ulysses truly exemplifies the notion that beauty lies in the details, and the meticulousness with which they've curated every aspect of the guest experience speaks volumes. The 19th-century charm of the Mount Vernon neighborhood is beautifully echoed within the Ulysses. The delicate stained-glass skylight, the ornate crown molding, and the preserved brass postal box serve as a testament to the building's rich history. But it's not all vintage here. The interiors seamlessly transition from the ornate influences of the Art Nouveau era to a more streamlined approach, evident in the hickory wood furniture adorned with Ash’s custom textiles. And oh, those hand-beaded lampshades and embroidered quilts! They added the perfect splash of color and quirk. A special shout-out to the carved flamingos that support the bedside tables, a delightful nod to Baltimore's own John Waters and his ”Pink Flamingos.” It's this mix of opulence and eccentricity that makes the Ulysses stand out. Booking through Trip.com was a new experience for us. A bit unconventional, sure, but it came through in the clutch. The $35 ”destination fee” threw us for a loop initially, but the $20 credit we received towards our bill at the hotel restaurant (Ash Bar) or the bar (Blooms) made it all worth it. Speaking of Blooms, what an experience! The mirrored ceiling, the crimson banquettes, and the purple stools set the stage for a night to remember. In a nutshell? The Hotel Ulysses is a triumph, an ode to Baltimore's multifaceted spirit. Whether you're here for the history, the design, or the sheer experience, the Ulysses promises and delivers. I thoroughly enjoyed my 5 night stay at Hotel Indigo. The reception staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was well appointed with nice furnishings and was clean. The bed was comfortable. The room had 2 large windows with a city view. Housekeeping came daily and provided excellent service. The public areas/lobby were nice and clean too. The lobby has a large area with abundant seating, a large fireplace and tv. My only suggestion would be to update the tv to a smart tv for access to Netflix and other apps.

This is my second time staying at the Springhill Suites in the last 4 months. It has quickly become my go-to hotel when I am in time visiting family. The rooms are clean, fresh, and the entire staff is courteous, friendly, and attentive. Kudos to Alison the GM for running such a smooth operation !

The hotel was very beautiful. The bar and restaurant were comfortable but the drinks were very overpriced. The hotel accommodated an early check in without a charge which was a bonus. They did charge a $200 fee - which will be returned to my account, but I was not expecting that charge.

It belongs to a hotel-style apartment, spacious and comfortable, cost-effective, very good.

We decided to explore all of Maryland so we need a home base. Elkridge was central to many of the locations we wanted to visit. So being that we are ihg members we chose this hotel. The front desk staff was kind & courteous. The rooms and main hotel were clean. The breakfast was well done. They served coffee, cocoa, a variety of juices, bagels, toast, French toast, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal (not instant packs - fresh), sausage, bacon and omelets. Our son loved the pool. It was small but served its purpose. Our only negative was that the shower didn't have much pressure.

We were welcomed by front desk, she was very helpful & courteous. Our room was ready & she told us about the parking & breakfast. She asked us why we were here & then she gave us directions where the event would take place. We needed a few things from the store& she suggested Whole Foods a block away.

Chose the hotel for its proximity to JHU. First the good stuff: Staff was uniformly helpful and customer oriented, front desk personnel welcoming and personable. Warm cookies and bottled water a nice touch. Room was generally clean and housekeeping staff wanted to do job well. Responsive staff member came to repair a non-functioning thermostat (needed battery) and noted that we had blocked the TV box and couldn't change channels. Good people all-around. The restaurant was apparently open but one couldn't tell. It was in a corner of the lobby with a few hangers-on at the bar. No coffee or tea available anywhere in the hotel save the machine in one's room - no sugar, no cream - nada. Had to go to One World Cafe about a half block away to get coffee. Hotels that charge half the room rate typically have coffee/tea, etc. in the lobby. I define value as the relationship between the entirety of the experience vs. the price paid for same. Based on this definition the value was substandard. Absent the sweet and attentive personnel we encountered, my star (*) award would be downgraded. Doubletree is a marquis name and this location didn't rise to the standard expected recalling other stays at Doubletree properties. Unfortunately, not recommended.

I stayed at this hotel for a family reunion celebration. The hotel staff were very accommodating, professional, and friendly. The staff was able to resolve three reservation issues which were clearly my family member's misunderstanding. The location is close to 95 interstate and other major highways in the Baltimore County area. Also, close to the White Marsh Mall and other stores like Target and Walmart. My negative observation was the pool area. The handle to enter pool water steps was very loose almost causing me and my grandson to slip which could have been a lawsuit if we had hurt ourselves. Also, the bathroom toilet seat was loose, it moved unexpectedly when I sat on it. Bathrooms are very dated, cracks in tile and wall paper peeling. Nonetheless, my stay for the weekend was comfortable. My room was 122 which faces front of the hotel property. It was quiet location surprisingly. My first time on a ground level room.
