A super nice hotel. Banff has the best value for money so far. The only complaint is the rainy day, because the way to the room is open-air. It seems that many hotels here are like this. It is convenient to go out. It is still highly recommended.
When I first checked in, the room I was given faced the kitchen engine, which was very noisy. I asked the front desk to change the room, and they quickly helped me deal with it. The service was very good, and the restaurant downstairs was also delicious. However, the hotel prices in the whole town were too expensive, and I felt it was not worth the price. Regardless of the price, the overall experience was still good.
Hotel Canoe and Suites provide excellent services, clean rooms with modern amenities, and lovely hot tubs and sauna. The hotel even goes the extra mile with free coffee and tea (coffee filters provided), and bus tickets to get to downtown Banff without fussing over parking space. The staff was professional and accommodated our needs quickly and with ease.
More specifically, the hotel is designed to be wonderfully convenient while maintaining its vision. The rooms are large, and each has a porch looking into the beautiful mountains. They achieve this by structuring each level to have cascading porches. Moreover, each wing of the hotel is separated by parking, so it is extremely convenient to move luggage around. Yet, the hotel wings are all connected by a hallway on a single floor.
This, plus the attention to detail when it comes to guests comfort, such as having towels and changing rooms next to the hot tubs, makes it a great hotel. Highly recommended!
The room was a bit small, and the electric kettle was full of limescale. Even after they replaced it, the new one wasn't any better. However, the hotel's location was excellent. There's a shuttle bus service right outside the entrance that takes you to various attractions, and the hotel conveniently provides free tickets for it. Additionally, a large IGA supermarket is located not far from the hotel, which was perfect for buying groceries to prepare our own meals, especially breakfast.
Irwin's Mountain Inn has a great location, just a short walk from the centre of Banff, which makes it easy to get around. The room was very clean, and the staff were welcoming. That said, the overall feel of the hotel is a bit dated, and for the price, the in-room coffee facilities were quite disappointing. It’s an okay place to stay if you value location and cleanliness, but it doesn’t quite offer the extras you might expect at this price point.
This hotel is an excellent value for the location and price. Staff is friendly, the hotel is clean and comfortable, amenities are as described. You need to check in next door, but this isn’t inconvenient.
The hotel allows you to use the free underground parking until 4pm on day of checkout, which is excellent. I’ve stayed here before and will be returning.
The location of the hotel is good with perfect access to the town. There is a supermarket named IGA which is about 8 mins walk. The cave pool is amazing which gives us a relaxing experience. The room is spacious with 2 levels. The upper level is bedroom while the lower level is dining room with a small kitchen. However, room service needs to be improved as there is no cleaning for one day during our stay. Facial tissue doesn't refill after using up.
The hotel is on the right hand of the entrance of Banfu town, 3 floors on the ground, with underground parking, heated swimming pool, SPA hall. There is a lift from the underground car park to the lobby and the upper floors.
The guy who checked in was very friendly and patient. We arrived a little early and politely asked if we could check in. He checked and immediately helped us check in.
The room is a standard room, two large beds of 1.8 meters, clean and tidy, very comfortable. There are safes and hangers in the hall, and washing and washing are separated. There are hair dryers, coffee makers, refrigerators, air conditioners. The coffee tastes great. My only regret is no breakfast.
Wonderful location. It’s so wonderful to be a little way away from the downtown crowds. It was a great perk of giving us also free bus passes for our stay duration Most definitely easier to leave your car there and take public transit. Also on the drive to the resort take the Hoodoos cutoff and take a little walk and check out the sites and listen to the magpies calling to each other. Thank you.
A beautiful and super convenient place to stay if you want to be close to Banff Town. We really enjoyed relaxing in the heated pool, hot tub, and dry sauna - it was the perfect way to unwind after a long day of exploring.
The family suite came with a lot of great perks: having our own kitchenette made it easy to cook meals and having two bathrooms was a big plus for four people- it made the say much more comfortable.
The only suggestion I'd make is to give the stove's ventilation hood a deep clean - it looked like it could use a bit of attention.
Other than that, I'd definitely recommend this place to others. Great value and a great stay!

GGuest UserI was a little worried because it was a motel, but it was very clean and comfortable.
The room was warm and suited Banff, and the bathroom was clean. I usually bring my own shampoo, but I tried this one, which seems to be a Rocky Mountain brand, and was surprised how well it worked on my hair!
There were plenty of cups, but no cutlery, so people who eat in their rooms will need to bring their own.

RrohitsharingThe room size was small and needed better planning on interior arrangements. Same goes for the bathroom. The room could have been better lit … dark gives gloomy impression and as if there’s something being hidden (like the floor carpet which we felt needed a better cleaning). The reception service is outstanding and people there are very helpful. They also have a fitness club and spa. The parking is in the basement and is easy. They also give complimentary bus tickets for those who want to explore places on bus. We didn’t need it as we had our own car.
