GGuest UserThe hotel is situated in close proximity to everything in Banff. We enjoyed walking to buses, shops and restaurants. There are plenty of options for travel to the many sight-seeing destinations. The only open restaurant is the Italian one and we didn't like the coffee there so we went out for meals, although we did have a couple drinks at the bar and that was nice. We did se that the pool was being enjoyed by various guests.
The concierge was very helpful in letting us know how to get around and to help schedule the gondola excursion.
It is a big place that is very nice and will be incredible, when all the renovations are complete.

GGuest UserA beautiful and super convenient place to stay if you want to be close to Banff Town. We really enjoyed relaxing in the heated pool, hot tub, and dry sauna - it was the perfect way to unwind after a long day of exploring.
The family suite came with a lot of great perks: having our own kitchenette made it easy to cook meals and having two bathrooms was a big plus for four people- it made the say much more comfortable.
The only suggestion I'd make is to give the stove's ventilation hood a deep clean - it looked like it could use a bit of attention.
Other than that, I'd definitely recommend this place to others. Great value and a great stay!

GGuest UserI was a little worried because it was a motel, but it was very clean and comfortable.
The room was warm and suited Banff, and the bathroom was clean. I usually bring my own shampoo, but I tried this one, which seems to be a Rocky Mountain brand, and was surprised how well it worked on my hair!
There were plenty of cups, but no cutlery, so people who eat in their rooms will need to bring their own.

From the moment we checked in, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and genuinely eager to make our experience memorable. The property itself feels tucked away in the trees, offering peace and quiet while still being just a few minutes from downtown Banff.
The room was spacious, clean, and cozy, with a rustic mountain vibe that fit perfectly with the surroundings. I especially loved the fireplace—it made evenings feel warm and relaxing after a day of exploring. The kitchenette was well-equipped, which was a nice bonus for preparing meals.
The views from the resort are stunning. Waking up to the fresh mountain air and seeing the Rockies right outside my window was unforgettable. On-site amenities like the hot tub and pool added to the experience, especially after long hikes.
What stood out most was the balance between comfort and nature. It felt like having a private cabin in the mountains but with all the convenience of a resort.
I’d highly recommend Tunnel Mountain Resort for couples, families, or anyone wanting a true Banff escape. It’s the perfect mix of relaxation, comfort, and breathtaking scenery—I’m already looking forward to coming back!

李李家庭The location of the hotel is good with perfect access to the town. There is a supermarket named IGA which is about 8 mins walk. The cave pool is amazing which gives us a relaxing experience. The room is spacious with 2 levels. The upper level is bedroom while the lower level is dining room with a small kitchen. However, room service needs to be improved as there is no cleaning for one day during our stay. Facial tissue doesn't refill after using up.

RrohitsharingThe room size was small and needed better planning on interior arrangements. Same goes for the bathroom. The room could have been better lit … dark gives gloomy impression and as if there’s something being hidden (like the floor carpet which we felt needed a better cleaning). The reception service is outstanding and people there are very helpful. They also have a fitness club and spa. The parking is in the basement and is easy. They also give complimentary bus tickets for those who want to explore places on bus. We didn’t need it as we had our own car.

Aasmee93Felt like a good 10-15 minute walk from the centre to the hostel. Good security measures. Bar is a little small and no room to move around at breakfast time and people are hovering and it gave me anxiety looking for the breakfast food as it was overwhelming with so many crowded people. Although can’t complain as it’s free and comes with your booking. Decent rooms but 2nd night in there is no cleaning I.e vacuuming not done as of yet and there’s a dead bug on floor. Friendly staff at the counter. Spacious room for luggage (6 bed share) and you need a thick locker key set for the lockers. Byo shower mat, slippers, hangers. Great bedside sockets curtain privacy!

GGuest UserThe location was right at Banff Ave. Hotel has free parking, so I can explore downtown without any concerns. The room is sufficient. And the staff were just so sweet to celebrate our honeymoon with us. We are thankful for that. Highly recommend.

日日日旅行The big bed is big enough for two people to sleep in. If you need anything, the staff will bring it up very quickly and deal with it immediately. The location is just a little bit at the end of Banff Avenue. It takes ten minutes to walk to the 8X bus stop (in the central area). It is still convenient, but the price is much cheaper. I highly recommend it. The only thing is that there is no hot water kettle and no water will be provided. You have to buy water yourself, which takes ten minutes to go to the supermarket. There is a microwave and a hair dryer.
