GGuest UserThe hotel is situated in close proximity to everything in Banff. We enjoyed walking to buses, shops and restaurants. There are plenty of options for travel to the many sight-seeing destinations. The only open restaurant is the Italian one and we didn't like the coffee there so we went out for meals, although we did have a couple drinks at the bar and that was nice. We did se that the pool was being enjoyed by various guests.
The concierge was very helpful in letting us know how to get around and to help schedule the gondola excursion.
It is a big place that is very nice and will be incredible, when all the renovations are complete.

GGuest UserI was a little worried because it was a motel, but it was very clean and comfortable.
The room was warm and suited Banff, and the bathroom was clean. I usually bring my own shampoo, but I tried this one, which seems to be a Rocky Mountain brand, and was surprised how well it worked on my hair!
There were plenty of cups, but no cutlery, so people who eat in their rooms will need to bring their own.

From the moment we checked in, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and genuinely eager to make our experience memorable. The property itself feels tucked away in the trees, offering peace and quiet while still being just a few minutes from downtown Banff.
The room was spacious, clean, and cozy, with a rustic mountain vibe that fit perfectly with the surroundings. I especially loved the fireplace—it made evenings feel warm and relaxing after a day of exploring. The kitchenette was well-equipped, which was a nice bonus for preparing meals.
The views from the resort are stunning. Waking up to the fresh mountain air and seeing the Rockies right outside my window was unforgettable. On-site amenities like the hot tub and pool added to the experience, especially after long hikes.
What stood out most was the balance between comfort and nature. It felt like having a private cabin in the mountains but with all the convenience of a resort.
I’d highly recommend Tunnel Mountain Resort for couples, families, or anyone wanting a true Banff escape. It’s the perfect mix of relaxation, comfort, and breathtaking scenery—I’m already looking forward to coming back!

GGuest UserA beautiful and super convenient place to stay if you want to be close to Banff Town. We really enjoyed relaxing in the heated pool, hot tub, and dry sauna - it was the perfect way to unwind after a long day of exploring.
The family suite came with a lot of great perks: having our own kitchenette made it easy to cook meals and having two bathrooms was a big plus for four people- it made the say much more comfortable.
The only suggestion I'd make is to give the stove's ventilation hood a deep clean - it looked like it could use a bit of attention.
Other than that, I'd definitely recommend this place to others. Great value and a great stay!

RrohitsharingThe room size was small and needed better planning on interior arrangements. Same goes for the bathroom. The room could have been better lit … dark gives gloomy impression and as if there’s something being hidden (like the floor carpet which we felt needed a better cleaning). The reception service is outstanding and people there are very helpful. They also have a fitness club and spa. The parking is in the basement and is easy. They also give complimentary bus tickets for those who want to explore places on bus. We didn’t need it as we had our own car.

LLyssaGThis hotel is an excellent value for the location and price. Staff is friendly, the hotel is clean and comfortable, amenities are as described. You need to check in next door, but this isn’t inconvenient.
The hotel allows you to use the free underground parking until 4pm on day of checkout, which is excellent. I’ve stayed here before and will be returning.

DDave van KampenWe were happy with this place. It seems dated but in nice repair (much like our home and ourselves). We wanted it mostly for the fireplace but the room had more than that with a full kitchen and full size appliances. If we ever wanted to be in Banff and make substantial home cooked food, this would be ideal. The bed was great and the staff very kind and friendly. It is in a natural mountain area just five minutes by car from downtown Banff. We had a balcony looking at a Mountain view and deer in the yard in front of the unit. There is bus service into town and free tickets offered by the resort. There is a water slide and an indoor and outdoor hot tub which is nice but not really a breathtaking setting. If you enjoy corn mazes this building has a lot of routing in it that takes a while to learn. We joked with other guests about that. All in all, pretty okay. We would book here again.

日日日旅行The big bed is big enough for two people to sleep in. If you need anything, the staff will bring it up very quickly and deal with it immediately. The location is just a little bit at the end of Banff Avenue. It takes ten minutes to walk to the 8X bus stop (in the central area). It is still convenient, but the price is much cheaper. I highly recommend it. The only thing is that there is no hot water kettle and no water will be provided. You have to buy water yourself, which takes ten minutes to go to the supermarket. There is a microwave and a hair dryer.

GGuest UserThe location was right at Banff Ave. Hotel has free parking, so I can explore downtown without any concerns. The room is sufficient. And the staff were just so sweet to celebrate our honeymoon with us. We are thankful for that. Highly recommend.
