Beach Hotels in Barcelona

Overall, I was a bit disappointed with this hotel. For a four-star establishment, I expected more. Some areas of the hotel seem a bit dated, giving it the impression of a package tour hotel rather than a modern city hotel. The pool area is decent, but nothing special. The artificial turf doesn't look particularly high-quality, and the pool's atmosphere didn't win me over. Guests often sit in the water with cocktails, which doesn't exactly contribute to a relaxed ambiance. The lobby and lounge also feel rather cold and uninviting. While there is a bar, it unfortunately lacks a genuine bar atmosphere or coziness. I believe there's significant room for improvement here. The room itself was tidy, but the refrigerator could be a bit larger. It would be practical if it could accommodate ice or larger drinks. On the positive side, I'd like to highlight the beds – they were really comfortable and ensured a good night's sleep. One point that particularly bothered me: the hotel descriptions barely mention that it's located directly next to a highway or a highway exit. Vehicles pass practically right by the hotel. This is less noticeable on weekends, but during the week, the traffic is clearly audible. I found the traffic noise particularly disturbing when having breakfast outdoors. Ultimately, I made the best of my stay and had a pleasant time. Nevertheless, I wouldn't classify this hotel as a particularly high-quality four-star establishment, and I would likely choose a different accommodation for my next visit to Barcelona. Overall, it was a solid, but rather average experience.

The room is very clean and spacious, one of the cleanest rooms we’ve stayed in. The room is great, however we had issue with the ac. It’s equipped with the controller that has AC and heater option, but the AC was not working and it kept blowing out hot air no matter how cold we set the dial. Upon checking with reception, we were told during November they switch the entire building system from ac to heater option so individual rooms have no way to override this. The room has massive windows so that has kept us cool. While we are in Nov, where weather is getting colder, the week that we were in Barcelona has great weather and temperatures still at the 15-20degrees so would have thought they would also consider the climate instead of just having a scheduled date to switch over everything to heating.. There are loads of breakfast options, but no egg station. Hot food option not the best, bacon and scrambled eggs overcooked and not really good quality on sausages. For those who enjoy cold breakfast selection like the pastries fruit and hams etc it’s much wider selection they provide here compared to other hotels.

Fantastic hotel! It's super clean and hygienic. The front desk staff are incredibly warm and helpful. The location is absolutely perfect – right next to a large shopping mall and very close to the beach. The nearby square has plenty of entertainment for kids. Plus, the hotel has two swimming pools, which my kids absolutely loved! We'll definitely choose this place again next time we visit.

Lovely hotel! Everywhere was really clean, the rooms were cleaned each day to a high standard with a bottle of fresh water each day. I even had lost a charm off my bracelet and the cleaner left it on the bed for me which was so sweet. Lovely location not far from a lovely beach, lots of shops & cafes around. Right near the metro station selva der mar which was amazing to see all of the sights! Pool area is small but really comfortable and again small and just what you need to dip in & cool off! Breakfast was lovely too nice lounge area and room was so comfy with a lovely big bathroom I would definitely stay here again. Just Wasn’t a fan of having £100 taken off me incase anything was wrong with the room luckily everything was fine but I had to wait 48 hours after my trip to receive a refund of this. Also got charged a lot of tax on check on which I forgot about!

My room was close to the lift and hallway entrance, and could hear the music from the hotel lobby, which can be quite distracting. Noise cancellation in rooms could be better as any voices and cart pushing sounds from the hallway were quite loud. Room was generally clean and tidy. Slippers had to be requested and there was no iron in the room. Breakfast buffet was great, which starts at 7am.

Barcelona, as the first city of my Spain 🇪🇸 trip, far exceeded my expectations. It's clean, beautiful, orderly, vibrant, and modern! Choosing this hotel was a great decision too. The deluxe sea-view room was on a high floor, had excellent soundproofing, and a fantastic view. The hotel also provides drinking water 🚰 which is a huge plus. Next time I'm in Barcelona, I'll definitely stay here again!

Honestly, this place is a gem! Room 405 has the best panoramic views of the city/harbour and a beautiful terrace area on the roof for sunbathing. The staff were super lovely and polite, nothing was too much trouble. Ladies at breakfast were friendly and welcoming, the food was a good selection, however the hot food items sadly weren't hot (think cold bacon slices, warm eggs, warm beans) just about warm nothing more which by the time you've buttered your toast and started to eat its all cold. The room was super clean and comfy, room service was excellent, I requested more pillows and they arrived at my room within minutes. The hotel is centrally located for the city/harbour and for all the sightseeing. Beds are too hard for me but that's personal preference. I would definitely come back here again.

I had a really good stay at the SB Diagonal. The hotel’s location made the trip – it’s in a great area with easy access to the city centre, so getting around Barcelona was simple. The room and overall feel of the place were spot on, clean and comfortable throughout. The food and bar weren’t the strongest part of the stay, but everything else more than made up for it. The staff were friendly, the hotel was well kept, and it was a great base for exploring the city. I’d happily stay here again!

The staff were great, and most importantly, the kitchen was really spacious, which was a huge plus. It's also very clean, but just a heads up that it's a bit far from the city center.

The room amenities were as described online, though the beds looked quite old and the facilities were generally average. The lighting in the room was a bit dim. However, the service was definitely on point, and the sea view and location were arguably the best. The gym was also a thoughtful touch, with water and towels placed on every treadmill.
