Barcelona Hostels

The service was very good. The front desk staff was very enthusiastic. They recommended tourist attractions and restaurants to me and cared about me as a traveler. They also had a pleasant chat with us. However, the room was very poor. There were about three rooms with 12 people sharing one bathroom and toilet. The quality of the roommates was average. The bed was very hard. There was a strange smell in the room. I didn't sleep well all night.

I stayed at Yeah Hostel for 3 nights. There were several high points, but also some significant drawbacks that made the experience bittersweet. Service & Staffs -The receptionists were very accommodating and helpful. However, I noticed a clear difference with the other staff members; many didn’t seem happy working there and weren't as friendly or welcoming as the front desk team. The Incident - Living in a hostel always carries a risk. Unfortunately, I lost cash inside my room during my stay. While the hostel acknowledged the situation, they couldn't conduct an investigation because there is no CCTV in the private sleeping areas—which is understandable for privacy, but still very frustrating. Facilities - The rooms are spacious, and the lockers are large enough to fit a big piece of luggage. It’s a peaceful place to stay despite being a hostel. Location - This is the hostel’s best feature. It’s walking distance to Sagrada Família and other major tourist spots. There are plenty of resto-bars, convenience stores, and easy access to both bus stops and the metro. A great spot for convenience and comfort, but you must be extremely careful with your cash and valuables, as you never know who you are sharing a room with.

My mother and I stayed for two nights in a twin room. I had read some reviews beforehand, so my expectations weren't very high, but the room exceeded them! We arrived a bit early, but they kindly stored our luggage and notified us via WhatsApp when the room was ready. The room was thoroughly cleaned and spotless, with enough space to open four suitcases. The water dispenser was also a nice touch. I was a bit worried about noise since it's located in a bustling area, but it wasn't an issue at all. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and it was great that they could speak English. Just a heads-up about amenities: there's no conditioner, comb, or slippers, so I'd recommend bringing your own. The price was significantly cheaper than other hotels, and the location is excellent. I'll definitely stay here again when I visit Barcelona.

TOC Hostel Barcelona offers an exceptionally modern and stylish stay, especially for those booking the 8-person dormitory. The layout of the 8-bed mixed dorm is brilliantly designed; the lockers and baggage area are separated from the actual beds, which significantly cuts down on late-night noise and disruptions from roommates packing. The property excels in both amenities and security, utilizing reliable card access for the rooms. Its location in Eixample is perfect—central, incredibly safe, and just a short walk from public transport and major sights. After a long day of exploring, the communal areas, complete with a pool table and an outdoor terrace pool, provide a fantastic, relaxed environment to unwind and meet fellow travelers. While the beds could benefit from curtains to add a bit more personal privacy, the overall cleanliness, friendly staff, and great value make it a top-tier choice for a Barcelona trip.

This was a truly wonderful place to stay! I accidentally left something behind at the hotel, but they were incredibly kind and helpful, keeping it safe for two days and even arranging for DHL pickup. They also offered laundry service for an additional fee (they mentioned having an 8kg washing machine). I do agree that there's room for improvement with the locks. However, the staff were lovely, and my roommates were all very kind and quiet. I'd love to stay here again if I get the chance.

The staff were great, and most importantly, the kitchen was really spacious, which was a huge plus. It's also very clean, but just a heads up that it's a bit far from the city center.

A Home Away from Home – Perfect Location & Amazing Vibes! This is hands down one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in! It truly felt like a home away from home. The beds are super comfortable, the entire place is clean and well-kept, and the staff are absolutely wonderful—friendly, helpful, and always ready with a smile. The location couldn’t be better. It’s easily accessible by metro from the airport—just grab a TMB metro card (very cheap and convenient), take Line 9 to the interchange with Line 1, and get off at Urquinaona. From there, it’s just a 3-minute walk to the hostel. You’re close to everything! If you're looking for a cozy, clean, and well-connected place to stay in the city, this is it. Highly recommended!

I loved the hotel, it's big, it always has air conditioning so it feels like a cool place. In the kitchen there is a large dining room where you can heat your food and refill your water bottle. The room is small I stayed in female of 6 and well the locker is under the bed so you have to sit on the floor and so there is no chair to use in the room. The air in the room is great. The perfect bedspread! There is no external noise but the private bathroom is too small the minimal shower they should put something for the floor because it is all wet but in general I loved the place! The wifi works perfectly

The place is clean but the lady in the reception with specs is sarcastic. She expect people to understand her. While she was talking so rude the other guy was laughing. better dont get this kind of people as it will ruin your reputation as you are running a service related business. And sometimes you wont know how a customer can help the business gain good eyeballs.

Overall, a good stay with a Few Minor Issues I stayed at Safestay Barcelona Gothic from June 17–18, 2025, in a 12-bed mixed dorm. The experience was mostly positive. ✅ Pros: The location is excellent — just a 5-minute walk from the metro, which made it easy to get around. If you have an early flight (like mine at 08:30), this is a good place to stay as you can easily reach the airport in time. The dorm, bathrooms, and common areas were all neat and clean. Wi-Fi worked well throughout my stay. The staff was friendly and spoke good English. Definitely value for money. ⚠️ Cons: The check-in time listed in my confirmation email was 14:00, but they didn’t allow check-in until 15:00. This was a bit inconvenient. Breakfast was not included in the booking. Overall, it’s a decent and budget-friendly option in a central area, especially for solo or budget travellers. I would recommend it for short stays.
