Garni Hotel le Petit Piaf

Stari Grad Belgrade|0.02km from Skadarlija-Skadarska Street
Parking was an absolute nightmare. After a four drive we arrived and attempted to follow the quirky instructions for parking our car. The hotel parking is situated within a separate private open air car park - right at the very end of it. Their idea is that you should park your car outside of this huge private car park, go looking for the hotel reception, obtain a car park entry ticket for the car park (barrier) and then return to your car, enter the private car park, drive to the far end, locate their car park and the access it. IT DOESN’T WORK! When there is zero parking anywhere near the private car park or the hotel. You are smack in the city centre of BELGRADE!!! And the hotel is located within a pedestrianised area. Forget their picture posted on ***********, that implies that parking nearby is easy - it was impossible. We pulled off the very busy main road, after going around and around three times (major stress) only to have cars appear behind us by the entrance to the car park. We had no choice but to take a ticket. We drove to the far end, spotted the tiny sign for The Petit Piaf Hotel, pressed the buzzer and the shutter opened revealing a massive parking vault. We parked our car unloaded all our luggage, hiked up the outdoor metal stairs, meandered through some cobbled passageway and eventually found reception feeling somewhat elated that we had survived the nightmare. When we mentioned that we had parked our car in the car park, we were instructed to remove it. We had to remove the car from their car park, drive through the other car park, exit the barrier manoeuvre adjacent to a very busy road, use their car park entry ticket and re-park our car in their hotel parking bay. There was no way of circumventing this ridiculous situation, none. The location of the hotel was excellent, the room was big, but the bathroom tiny. I mean really tiny less than one sq. meter to dance around the shower, sink and toilet lol. And the bathroom door opens into that less than one square meter of space. But worse of all, THE NOISE! at night. I hardly slept. The only relative quiet came after 4.15am - I know this because I was awake. Forget the ambiguous comments on other reviews, their windows are inadequate to surpress the laughter, loud music, cheering, singing etc etc. Don’t get me wrong if you are there to get lashed and party until 4.00am (ish) return to your room and hit the bed, no doubt you’d have a great nights sleep. For anybody else, I’d say forget it. To recap, archaic, totally inconvenient parking. Tiny bathroom. Good bedroom. Poor sound exclusion (little sleep). Great location and wonderful city. The free breakfast? We honestly could not wait to get out of this hotel, so we simply left on empty bellies. Never again, unless I’m invited on a rowdy stag do, without a car and it’s booked by somebody else!

Unfortunatelly it was a very bad experience. First of all, the first floor rooms like the one we were given were opposite the reception and everyone who enters the hotel or goes through the elevator is like walking through your room. Even worse right below the hotel there is a tavern that sometimes two and three bands play at the same time in the outdoor area and they are loud all day and all night. In addition, as can be seen from the photo, our bed broke due to poor construction and we had to change rooms. Finally, my card was charged with 500E while the booking showed 475E with the excuse of currency conversion. Which is a very large amount. But even if that was the case they didn't even give me the option to pay with cash. The breakfast was the same every day and completely indifferent. Moreover, it is located outside the hotel!! Two minutes walk!!

Location is in the hotel in the city center, the elevator is small to incredible, haha. The hotel can cook and have all kinds of tools. There is also a capsule coffee machine. The room is large and spacious. Going out is the most lively bar and dining area in Belgrade, where handsome guys and beautiful women haunt at night.

The location of the hotel is good, walking distance from many attractions. Breakfast is similar to the five-star, very good. The coffee for breakfast is not very satisfactory, I hope to drink better in the future. The room feels a bit dusty, maybe the air conditioner is not cleaned. housekeeping The big sisters are very enthusiastic. The Bay City Hotel has free water for the first night, and there is no water in the future. I went to the nearby shop&go and dm to buy it myself. I think the size of the room is OK. If the carpet is cleaner in this hotel, the dust smell in the room is perfect.

The location of the hotel is less than ten minutes away from Republic Square. There are internet celebrity coffee shops and pizzerias downstairs. The surrounding environment is good, but because the square is being renovated, vehicles cannot go directly downstairs. The apartment is on the fourth floor and you can see the surrounding landscape. It is cozy. It took some time to find a house, because first I went to the 22nd room, and the diagonally opposite is 22A. The owner was also very nice and helped to call a car to the airport.
