Hotel RH Corona del Mar

Stayed during November Fiesta in a sea view with balcony absolutely fabulous. Firework display outside hotel was fantastic the hotel is in perfect location to sample all the delights of old town benidorm the rooms are spacious and plenty of choice in the restaurant pool area on small side they had entertainment on a night overall loved every minute and would definitely book this hotel again.

Outstanding in all areas. Beutiful rooms, superb food and a lovely pool area. The staff here really do go over and above to make your stay as happy and as comfortable as is reasonably possible. We've stayed in many hotels in Benidorm but the Corona Del Mar tops the lot. Plum for a sea view room and you will not be dissapointed with the lovely vista on offer and full board is a must to really appreciate the wide range of food on offer. We will most certinly be back sooner rather than later.

Excellent hotel in good location with excellent staff and service. Been going there since 2007. Nearly all my the staff in all areas have been there for many years. Only small complaint this year our room was not serviced until after 2pm most days. But this was only a minor point.

Nice hotel.clean with excellent service.Food excellent.No pool bar.Pic's are deceptive the sea view is narrow and obstructed on both sides by buildings.Pick up and drop off not directly outside hotel so suitcase needs to be pushed along busy pavement 200yds.

The hotel was lovely and clean and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The hotel is well situated at the start of Poniente beach, and within easy walking distance of the old town without being too intrusive. Unfortunately, although plentiful, the food was sadly bringing the hotel down. steaks and pork were extremely tough. The rest of the food was a very good mixture and choice but always only lukewarm. Typical all inclusive buffet. The food in the restaurants we visited throughout Benidorm, however were excellent..

So lets start at the beginning when we arrived at the hotel the reception person was very good and helped with all our issues and resolved them all so really can't fault the reception staff. The room itself was average but acceptable my only issues would be that the mattress was quite hard and in the bathroom the toilet was so close to the wall it was a squeeze to sit on . Also in April the air conditioning is not on and this made the room very hot so we had to have the balcony door open during the night which makes it very noisy during the night. ( Would expect a 4* hotel to accommodate guests with air-conditioning when its hot not just when the hotel feels like it) There was also no smoking on the balcony what was a first for us. So our booking was full board and if I was honest the food was average at best the breakfast was probably the most acceptable meal of the day for me the hot food choice at lunch and dinner did not compare to even 3* hotels we have recently stayed at and also for me the meat dishes ( chicken, lamb steaks ) were always overcooked and dry. I have to say that I was really disappointed with the food as we had read previous reviews before booking and the food had previously had good comments . My other issue at lunch and dinner was that they try and get you to have some sort of drink ( beer, wine, water, softdrink) at an extra charge which has been similar to other hotels we have stayed at in Spain but for me at lunch I would prefer a juice and my partner a coffee but these did not seem to be available so we only had drinks on one occasion but my main issue was that some of the staff did seem to take offence if you didn't have a drink . The hotel otherwise was adequate they have a nice gym and a little indoor pool. The outdoor pool was on the small size but adequate but had no pool bar so was a bit of a walk to the lobby bar . I would say that sunbeds were always available when we went down but would be sceptical if this was the case in the busier months . The lobby bar was quite large and in the evening they had entertainment some good some not so good ( if you charge drinks to your room then you get a 10% discount) . If you are a smoker then this hotel is completely non smoking except outside the front of the hotel . The location is reasonable and close to the beach and the old town. If I was to come back to Benidorm would I choose this hotel again probably not for me this is only on par with 3* hotels we have stayed in at other areas of mainland Spain.
