Bicycle rental and parking slot are available. Famous coffee shop is walking distance. Even there is no onsen here but u can go Hyotan onsen which is the biggest one for 15 mins, (onsen itself is 1480 jpy open til midnight) I’ll be back !

This is the most cost-effective hot spring hotel (hotel) I have ever stayed in. I only spent less than 1,400 yuan to stay in the best private hot spring room, facing the incomparable sea view. At the same price, I can only stay in other hot spring hotels. I booked the cheapest room type and the front desk staff was very friendly. Although the facilities are a bit old and the bathtubs in the large public baths are not as comfortable as those in the private baths, the unique nostalgic atmosphere is also the hallmark of a hot spring hotel. To a guest downstairs: After a little research, I found out that there are no luxury hotels in the Beppu area. A slightly larger hotel can call itself a hotel. There are many such ”hotels” nearby. I stayed at the Tsuraya Hot Spring Hotel in Hokkaido for 4,000 yuan a night, and I always used a key to open the door. Even if the hotel does not meet the psychological expectations, you should complain after leaving the hotel instead of asking for a refund at the front desk before checking in. I believe that even in China, the hotel will not tolerate such unreasonable behavior. The person involved only exposed his upbringing. And the lack of common sense makes people laugh.

Excellent location. Take the bus from Fukuoka Airport and get off at Beppu Kitahama. The hotel is right next to you. Although the room is small, it is very clean and comfortable, and the sound insulation is also good. It fully meets the needs of one person. There are indoor and outdoor hot spring baths on the second floor of the hotel. It is very comfortable to soak in the evening after walking during the day. The Japanese breakfast is delicious, and the service staff is polite, friendly and thoughtful. There are also two Western-style family restaurants next to the hotel, Jolly Pasta and Royal Host. The price is reasonable, and you can eat satisfactory at 130 per person. I will stay here again when I come to Beppu next time!

Kamenoi Hotel Beppu is conveniently located near the JR station and main bus terminal, making it easy to travel to various parts of the city, including Beppu's Jigoku, via public transport. The hotel features a hot spring bath, perfect for the adventurous traveller looking to relax after a day of exploration. The rooms are more spacious than the typical Japanese hotel, which is especially beneficial for those travelling with children or large luggage.

The hotel design is very unique, and the room planning is outstanding, offering large and comfortable spaces for both sleeping and general relaxation. The private onsen has 2 large glazed doors that open directly to the private terrace, plus a full width and height glazing, enabling the feeling of enjoying an external onsen. The staff can communicate well in English and is very friendly and helpful. The one observation that the hotel management can review is on the lighting in the luggage space, it is sensor operated, as one needs to organize the luggage for sometimes, the short duration of lighting on is not sufficient for the packing, please consider having the lighting be changed to manual operation. Otherwise, well done.

The ryokan is set in a beautiful, serene location, surrounded by nature, offering a peaceful retreat from daily life. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated in traditional Japanese style, blending modern comforts with authentic charm. The private onsen attached to my room was a highlight, allowing me to unwind in soothing hot springs while taking in the picturesque views. What truly sets Kannawaen apart is the attention to detail and personalized service. The staff went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect, making me feel truly cared for throughout my stay. The room decoration is relatively nostalgic, but the area is quite large. The key is very interesting. You hand it to the front desk when you go out and pick it up when you come back. Breakfast is a buffet, more Japanese style, and there is free coffee + unlimited ice cubes in the lobby at any time🧊. The location is also very convenient. You can see JR Beppu Station and bus stops when you go out, so traveling is very convenient.

It takes a little over 2 hours by Sonic Express train from Fukuoka Hakata Station to Beppu Station. And Beppu hotel check-in is at 3pm. Then it would be a good idea to have lunch in Fukuoka and then take the train in the afternoon. So, in the morning, I went to Mutsukato on the 5th floor of Amu Plaza at Hakata Station and started with a sandwich and coffee. After eating, I went to Geumja Optical Shop on the 7th floor of the same building to look at glasses. I really liked the small, Kim Gu-style glasses that I liked, but they were expensive. Jins Glasses on the 5th floor is cheap, but I don't like it. Finally, I took the Sonic Express from Hakata Station and arrived at Beppu Station two hours later. Go out from the side exit and walk for 10 minutes to arrive at Nogami Honkan. Although the facility is old, it is cleanly maintained and the owner is friendly. Because the room is made of tatami mats, it has a peculiar jeep-like smell. I had a hard time sleeping on the first day, but I slept well on the second day, probably because I was tired. Pay 500 yen for 50 minutes in the family bath and relax. Near the hotel, there are Toyo-san and Doraya, which sell Japanese set meals, and I went to both. It’s a delicious restaurant. The cost-effectiveness is also very good. If you like a tatami room, go here.
