KKsenia KrylovaA small, quiet hostel on a quiet street. Three of us stayed in a quadruple room. Clean towels and a trash bag were provided daily. The mattresses are soft, the pillows are high. I found the pillow a bit uncomfortable, so I had to remove it. The room has a stove, kettle, paper cups, and a refrigerator. The lobby has a microwave, plates, spoons, forks, a stove, a refrigerator, more paper cups, and drink machines (several types of soda, water, hot water, coffee, green tea, and corn soup). All drinks are complimentary. There are also shelves with manga and other books, a TV, and two game consoles. We didn't use them, though.
There's also a small shelf with onsen essentials: shampoo, shower gel, cotton swabs, paper towels, and other items. These can be borrowed and then returned.
The lobby also has information in English about nearby cafes and onsens. The staff speak excellent English and can help you navigate the city, such as choosing an onsen.
The hostel has a self-service laundry: washing is 300 yen (40 minutes), drying is 100 yen for 15 minutes. I usually pay 200 yen upfront because nothing dries in 15 minutes.
We didn't have enough mosquito nets on the windows: in the evening, we'd open the window to air out the room, and in the morning, we'd be counting the mosquito bites. The only consolation was that the mosquitoes were quiet and didn't bite, meaning they didn't interfere with our sleep.

GGuest UserThe people working here are so nice! I was able to drop my luggage off early before check-in which was sooo appreciated. It’s in a quiet little neighborhood close to the train station. It seems like a lot of the attractions are in Kannawa though which was a 30 minute bus ride away. The rooms were straightforward- one bathroom in the room, not as modern but clean. They provide slippers for your room, and there are privacy curtains around the bed. There’s a kitchen downstairs available to use.

MMoon RockThe staff is friendly and speaks English well; the place is quiet and cozy, and the location is perfect. It’s almost a distance to Beppu tourist attractions, especially the Beppu tower and Beppu JR stations. The hostel is also located near the port area, where you can relax and take a break.
The hostel also has a cafe, a spacious kitchen, and an artificial hot spring. Although some amenities are not included, you have to purchase them at the front desk, the accommodation cost is relatively cheap, so that’s okay. It's a good thing I have my own towels and other amenities.
I will definitely be back here when I return.

GGuest UserI think the staff is very kind. It was a tasteful inn, and the open-air bath was very comfortable and awesome.
We used it without meals. The location is good, so there are convenience stores and coin laundry that can be walked from the inn, so it is easy to use. It was good that it was easy to access in a place close to tourist spots.

It was an 8-person dormitory.
It had bunk beds.
I slept on the first floor for three nights.
The wooden beds creaked and creaked whenever I moved.
The beds next to me also made noises when I moved.
I woke up too often during my sleep.
This was a major drawback.
The kitchen and lounge were convenient to use.
The bathrooms were clean.
The sauna had showers. The hot sauna facilities were nice.
The staff were friendly.
It's convenient to travel from Beppu Station to Oita and Yufuin.
The Beppu Ropeway is convenient.
The beach is just a 10-minute walk away, offering stunning ocean views.

UUyangaThis spacious accommodation is ideal for a family getaway with several members. It was tidy and cozy, making it a pleasant place to stay with my kids. The highlight was the garden outside and the large windows that let in the morning sun, creating a lovely atmosphere for breakfast while gazing outside. Unfortunately, the hot spring was out of order when we got there, but it appeared to be large enough for two people to enjoy. I was initially concerned that the size of the apartment would make it chilly upon arrival, but the heating system was effective, and the place warmed up quickly.

GGuest UserWe stayed here as a couple and loved every moment. The room was clean, beautifully designed, and felt relaxing as soon as we walked in. After enjoying the private onsen bath made of wood and stone, we watched a movie on the projector while lying on the tatami, which felt so cozy and special.
The amenities were carefully selected and felt high-quality, adding to the relaxing stay. You can tell the host cares about every detail. If you want authentic Japanese experience with your partner, this place is a perfect choice.
