"I recently stayed at a hotel booked through Trip.com, and while the location, cleanliness, and facilities were quite nice, I had a very disappointing experience with the service provided by the hotel staff.
When I booked the hotel, the description on Trip.com (in Korean) clearly indicated that the room would have two beds and two floor beds. However, upon arrival, we found that the room only had two beds and one floor bed. When I brought this discrepancy to the attention of the hotel staff, they informed me that we would need to pay extra for an additional floor bed. They explained that the description in the itinerary merely indicated the maximum capacity of the room and that, since we had booked meals for only three people (breakfast and dinner), we could not receive an extra floor bed at no charge. I opted for the three-person meal plan because one of my family members is a five-year-old child who does not eat much, and I wanted to avoid unnecessary food waste.
I understand that interpretations of the itinerary may vary, but the attitude of the hotel staff was unacceptable. During my communication with them, I was put on hold for five minutes, only to be told that there was nothing they could do. After urging them to adhere to the terms of the itinerary, I was placed on hold again for ten minutes. Unfortunately, I had to hang up as it was time for dinner, and the hotel did not follow up with any response after I returned.
This experience significantly affected my family's mood, and what was supposed to be a pleasant stay turned into a frustrating ordeal. I hope that Trip.com can address this issue to prevent future guests from having similar experiences."
