"The stay was decent overall, but there is definitely room for improvement. Additionally, the door leading from the balcony to the hot spring room couldn't be securely locked, which was a bit concerning. With better housekeeping and maintenance, this would be a much better place to stay."

"For my winter break trip to Japan, I continued exploring Kyushu, specifically Beppu and Yufuin. In Beppu, I stayed at this established onsen hotel. It wasn't expensive, and when I booked, it was the last room available. I kept checking countless times to see if a larger room would open up, but none did. My husband, due to his state-owned company job, couldn't travel, so it was just me and my son, which ended up being perfectly fine. The hotel initially even set up three futons for us in the tatami room. The onsen was very relaxing. There were a lot of Korean guests at the hotel; I noticed them all at breakfast. Our room had a sea view, which I really liked. For housekeeping, they only offer free cleaning on the third day if you stay for three consecutive nights. Otherwise, it costs 3000 yen per cleaning. We figured it wasn't worth it since we didn't have much trash anyway, and I didn't bother making the bed. The hot springs also offered sea views, though we only used them at night. Soaking in them before bed was incredibly comfortable and relaxing. Breakfast was a buffet with a good variety of local Kyushu dishes. I ate there for two days straight and didn't get tired of it. In terms of transportation, it's about a 100-meter walk from the Beppu bus terminal if you're coming from Fukuoka. The JR station is also only about a 10-minute walk away, which is very convenient. Overall, I think it offers pretty good value for money."

The room was very well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, essentially meeting all my needs during the stay. The room size was also quite generous, preventing any cramped feelings and making it feel comfortable and relaxed. In this regard, the hotel definitely has an advantage. However, there were some shortcomings regarding the environment. When making the bed, I surprisingly found a spider, which gave me quite a fright and left a somewhat unpleasant feeling. This also suggests that there might be oversights in the hotel room's cleaning and hygiene. Additionally, the bedding didn't feel very clean, which significantly detracts from the experience for anyone who values sleep hygiene. On a positive note, the hotel's location is excellent. It's close to the beach, making it wonderfully pleasant to take a leisurely stroll by the sea. Plus, Don Quijote is right across from the hotel, making shopping extremely convenient. Free drinks are also available on the first floor. I hope the hotel can pay more attention to daily cleaning and hygiene management, focusing on details to improve the overall environmental quality. I believe that after improvements, guests will have a much better stay, and I look forward to a different experience next time I visit."

"Booked a sea-view room with half board, and it was a great experience. It's a few hundred meters from the train station, and it's quiet despite being set back from the main road. **Environment:** It's a traditional Japanese hotel with an elevator up to the seventh floor. Being right by the sea is very convenient. I haven't slept on a futon in a long time and was worried I wouldn't get used to it, but it was actually quite comfortable. The mattress was thick and not cold. There was a faint tatami mat smell, which I personally found acceptable. I was assigned a corner room, so I could also see the sea from another wall, which was lovely. **Service:** The service was decent. The restaurant staff were particularly warm and welcoming. Just a heads-up, check-in is from 3-6 PM, and the latest entry for dinner is 7 PM, so plan accordingly. **Facilities:** The outdoor onsen on the top floor offers beautiful sea views. The indoor onsen on the third floor is quite spacious and wasn't crowded at all. **Food:** Dinner was excellent, with a good variety including sashimi, wagyu beef, and tempura. Breakfast leaned a bit more vegetarian but was also very tasty."

"Had a clean and efficient service experience. Don’t miss the chance to visit the onsen during sunrise and sunset—the simply breathtaking scenery enhances my relaxation. "Transportation: Very convenient. It's only a 10-minute walk to JR Beppu Station. For my bus trip to Fukuoka, the bus stop (right outside Starbucks) was just a 5-minute walk from the hotel. Facilities: This is a resort-style hotel, and I was lucky enough to snag a sea-view room where the first rays of morning sun streamed directly in. The room was very spacious, more than enough for two people; it actually felt a bit large for just myself. It was approximately 10 tatami mats in size (excluding the bathroom, separate toilet, entryway, and balcony). Cleanliness: As it was a Japanese-style room, it was generally clean, but there were some small bugs. I got a few bites on my fingers and bottom, but they cleared up by the next day. Ambiance: The balcony offered a direct view of the ocean. The 260-degree sea view room was truly impressive. Service: Overall, the service was very good. The only area that needs improvement is the hot spring on the 7th floor. On the day of my arrival, I made a reservation for the hot spring with the hotel, but I didn't receive any confirmation or proof. Consequently, I didn't actually go. However, I was still charged either 1000 or 1500 yen for it at check-out. It's a small amount, so I didn't bother disputing it with the front desk, but I do think their booking and confirmation process for the hot spring needs significant improvement."

"A newly opened small tourist hotel, where the guests are mainly Japanese. The hygiene is good, but the location is far from the city center and not close to the beach. It is inconvenient if you don't have a car. Maybe there were more Japanese customers, so the staff didn't speak English at all, so communication was difficult. What’s more outstanding is that there is a hot spring not far away, which is divided into private family pools and public pools. You need to make an appointment at the store for the private family pool, and you usually have to wait for a long time. You can make an appointment and go back at the appointed time."

"Very satisfied with our stay. Room is abit small as the room was constructed out of a container but they still managed to pack everything nicely into the room. Location may not be ideal for travellers relying on public transport but no issue if you’re driving as there are parking lots available for hotel guests in front of the hotel. Love the amenities provided (full range of Pola products and Refa hair dryer!) They even provide a Balmuda kettle. As hotel is located within a park, there is no security fencing. There is a main gate where hotel guests need to scan their card to enter hotel premise but public can easily walk over the slightly raised flower bed to enter the hotel premise even without the need to enter via the main gate. Such setup is only possible in Japan where security is not a major issue and known for being a safe country but we’ll be concerned if this is in another country. There is also no shelter from hotel rooms to the parking area so managing luggage during rainy days will be challenging. But overall we love our stay at this hotel."
