Shirley Heights Hotel

SHIRLEY HEIGHTS... What an absolutely amazing place to stay. Best experience we have had in Blackpool and would'nt stay anywhere else. The rooms are fantastic, the breakfast is delicious and the owners Amanda & Derek just went above & beyond for us from start to finish. It was my wife's birthday and our hosts put a birthday card and a box of chocolates in our room for her, a lovely extra touch. All round, we had a 1st class stay. This is our third year of staying at Shirley Heights and we are already booked for next year. The location is perfect and easy to walk to the main areas of the town. Derrick and Amanda are wonderful hosts and nothing is ever too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and an excellent breakfast is provided. It’s a real gem.

Amazing stay again! All of the rooms are so clean and the quality of the breakfast is amazing. The hosts are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Close to main attractions with view of the tower from our room. Highly recommend this warm and friendly B&B

Stayed for a week at Shirley Heights in May. First time we'd stayed there, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great location, only a 5 minute walk to the shops, bars and restaurants, and the Tower. Derek and Amanda were lovely hosts, very friendly and attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. Had a nice full breakfast, which kept us going for the day. Rooms were clean, fresh towels every day, and the complementary tray offered tea, coffee, Hot Chocolate, and biscuits which was a nice touch.We look forward to staying at Shirley Heights again the next time we're in Blackpool.

We were here for three nights and it was a very nice place to stay. Rooms are impeccably clean, not a speck of dust anywhere. Beds, pillows and bedding were all comfortable. Breakfast was good as well. Would definitely recommend.

My husband and I went to Shirley heights for 5 nights this week and what a pleasure it was. The hotel is spotlessly clean, we had a lovely spacious room. The breakfast is delicious, everything and more for a full english. However the best of all is the hospitality we received from the owners, Amanda and Derek. We couldn't have been made more welcome. They're a lovely couple and this small hotel has got to one of the best in Blackpool. We've been in many over the years,but we'll definitely be coming back to Shirley heights.

Stayed here with my husband for 4 nights at the beginning of August. The hosts Derek and Amanda are excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are spacious and clean with tea/coffee/kettle provided. There are fans in the room for the summer months. Breakfast is gorgeous, cereal, fruit, yoghurts, full English, toast, tea/coffee/juice. The b&b is a 5 minute walk from the town center, beach, winter gardens, and tower.

We arrived here after a long delay on the M6 in poor weather to be greeted by a cosy home and the offer of a mug of tea. We were then kindly upgraded to a bigger room due to a cancellation which was so generous and made us feel so welcome. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable and immaculately clean, we slept brilliantly every night and had access to tea, coffee and hot chocolate in our rooms. Everyday our room was restocked with provisions and fresh towels were provided. Breakfast is delicious, there is so much choice and Derek remembered our order each morning. We're sad we are not waking up to this breakfast tomorrow and someone asking how we slept! If we didn't have such a busy few days we would have stayed in their cosy communal area where you can relax. We hope when we return to Blackpool we can stay here. If you are looking at hotels or need somewhere to stay avoid the overpriced chains and come and visit this place. We couldn't have wished for a nicer couple or a more welcome and happy stay.

This review is somewhat delayed so I apologise. We stayed in April (me, my mum, sister and daughter). We stayed Friday till Monday and we had a fantastic time. The couple that run this B&B are so welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was really nice and went down well with all. The room I believe was the family room (x2 double beds) was incredibly spacious and very up-to-date in terms of decor. When we next have a trip to Blackpool we will 100% book to stay here again. 😀
